She started out by telling me what exactly was happening. "This area used to be a prison. Eventually we bought it and used it as a research facility for physics. We had managed to discover the existence of another dimension. This whole thing was designed to be able to communicate with them. Somehow bring together the dimensions. The scientists in charge called it a merge. We got all the equipment we needed to start the merge, and we started gathering power for it. Eventually we got all the power and coordinates and opened a portal. The first thing I saw was a monster that showed up on the other side, and I started running. You were the second person to join, and eventually we managed to get away. Most other people tried to join us, but some got killed by the monsters who came out. From there, people started getting attacked and into comas, but you and I were determined to put a stop. We started traveling together, trying to get back in this room, but we were unable. Something managed to turn out the power one day, and we got separated. I had hoped you had survived, but I couldn't be sure, so I just continued. A few days after the merge had occurred, I was going around the facility, and I noticed a tear in the sky. I couldn't see beyond it. I assumed that was part of the merge."

"I saw that too," I interrupted. "I decided to ignore it. I had no idea what was going on."

"It was part of the merge. Anyways, time itself seemed to have stopped, and we were in one night forever. We had no day or night. I believe the merge has prevented the earth from rotating or revolving around the sun. I had kept track of the time that had past thanks to my watch, and it's been about a month since the merge."

"I've been knocked out for a month?" I asked.

"Yes. I watch one specific monster with a sharp spear going around killing any survivor it found. It managed to find me a few times, and I managed to find safe zones it couldn't find. It seems there's several areas no monsters can get to. You managed to find some, and the monsters couldn't find you. Eventually, these monsters were convinced there were no more survivors, as they couldn't find either of us, and they left. I think they went back through the portal. I watched the monsters kill our allies. There was nothing I could do. There were no weapons I could use against them. I had only recently found this gun."

"How could they not escape? When I found the monsters, they were very slow. I managed to get away easily!" I replied, still puzzled.

"Like I said, there was one monster that's faster than the others. It levitates a few inches off the ground. It can move much faster, and it's very powerful. It killed everyone. I don't know if there's anyone else still alive."

"You said we tried to stop it. How close had we gotten?" I asked.

"We didn't get too close. We still had a lot to do before we saved the planet."

"Well let's go together. We can keep each other safe. We can put a stop to all this." I said confidently.

"That makes sense. We've both seen what kinds of monsters there are, so we could easily survive. But first, we need more power. I managed to get some power, and I have more power cells right here, but i knew if I turned on the power, that monster would come and kill me."

"I'll turn on the power. You go and hide in the next room. If it comes, I'll let it take me and you go live. You'll go and save the world."

"No! I'm not gonna go anywhere without you. I'm staying here by your side."

"Fine then, get ready to run." I said, admonishing her about what was to come. "He'll be tough, so don't stop running. If you're tired, tell me."

I went to the computer to add more power, but a warning showed on the screen. Error 119: Power cells missing. "Please put the power cells in the generator." I said. "But be careful." She placed the power cells, and I upped the power. Now every light was on. MOAN! The loud moan came again, louder than ever.

"Shoot! He found us again!" Yelled Tiffany.

"Get ready to run," I said.

"No. Maybe we can take it down." She replied.

"Still, get ready in case we can't hurt it."

The monster came rushing through the room, and she shot 3 bullets at him. It was like it had a bullet-proof vest, because the bullets bounced off. "Run!" I yelled, as it sprinted at us.
