As I walked out the room, I heard a scream. It was a girl's scream. But where? I followed the sound into a dead end. It was somewhere in this little library room. Most of the books made a mess all over the floor. I could see the room a bit more easily, but just not the floor. I tried organizing the books a bit so I could see more, and there was a steel hatch in the back of the room. "Time to use the MHL-3 acid!" I said, excited.

I carefully poured the acid over the steel hatch. If it could burn through that, it could burn through skin too. It worked! I managed to get the hatch open, and I climbed through the hatch. Downstairs, I saw more monsters. They weren't skeletons though. They were more like zombies, but they all looked exactly the same, not like anyone I knew. There were multiple rooms, and I had to find the right one. As I took a step, the tiles made a soft tapping sound, and all the zombies looked directly at me. I took another step, still making another sound, and they started walking towards me. These were faster, making them harder to avoid. Every step made them closer to me. I reached a door, and opened it. There was nothing behind it but a few books. I closed the door and kept running. Behind another door was a tech room. I entered and closed the door, looking at the computer screen. It said to enter a user ID.

"There are 5 users with this ID. Please verify who you are." It read. It showed me different profiles, and I clicked mine.

"Welcome, Colt!" The screen read. I hit the enter button. "You have been inactive for 36 days. Would you like to update your journal?" I scrolled down to the no button and hit it. "What would you like to do?" It asked. Multiple choices showed up. I could either: Add to the journal, view the journal, access my email, view my notes, or log out. I chose to view my journal. All of it was personal stuff. No information on what had happened within the past. I checked my notes.

"We don't have enough power to send people through the interdimensional portal, yet we have enough to view the other side. We can't see anyone or anything. It seems like a black void. Maybe we need more power to view more, maybe we opened up our portal into outer space. We really have no idea. We can't transfer anyone, so we can't find anything out now. Maybe new coordinates or more power could lead us there."

Interdimensional portal? I thought. Maybe that's what caused these monsters to show up. But how could they appear? We couldn't send anything through. I need to read more. I scrolled to the next entry.

"We got enough power and the right coordinates of a planet. Upon opening the portal, it was as if some monsters were waiting for us. The just started coming through the portal. They looked like skeletons that moved, or zombies, but all looked the same. We all fled from the lab in horror."

So the experiment was a success, I guess. But how would we get rid of these? I tried destroying the skeletons, but they kept reforming. I thought to myself. First things first, I have to get to the electrical room. But how do I get there with those zombies waiting for me? They move quickly, so I would need something far ranged. I looked through the room, hoping to find something I could use as a ranged weapon. Nothing. So I had to get to the electric room with a melee weapons such as a knife. No possible way. Those this are gonna kill me before I get there. Well, I can't stay in here forever. I guess I have to go. I was just about to leave the room, when I heard another scream. It was so loud I could tell it was from the electrical room. There was no point in waiting. I hurried out the door and headed towards the electrical room.
