"Shoes!" Peru jumped with excitement. Then she found a note in it "from Jin"

"Aww, thanks Jinny!" She smiled.

"Where is ₹200 that I kept on the table?"

"Actually m-mom-" Jin hesitated.

"I want a clear answer!!" Mrs Yadav shouted as Jin started crying.

"Aunty ? What happened?" Natasha (7 years old) asked while coming to the hall.

"Cheery! Save me, Momma is scolding" Jin hid behind her.

"Bhai? Why don't you tell the truth?" Cheery aka Natasha asked.

"Make this boy understand. If he spend money like this, then what will we eat?" Mrs Yadav left angrily.

"Bhai? Where's the money?" Cheery asked

"Actually... P-peru.. wanted a pair of shoes.." he gulped.

"Peru? Who's she?"

"Come with me, I'll introduce you to her" A bright smile covered his face.
He dragged her outside their small house.
They crossed the main Street and went inside the nearby slumb.

"Ew! She lives here?" Cheery said, holding her nose.

"Yes , she lives here alone" Jin exclaimed.
They went to a narrow path and saw a small hut.

"Seems like she is cooking!" Jin rushed to her hut as Cheery followed him.

They entered inside a saw a small matress, in the floor and some old clothes. Peru was cooking.

"Peru!!" Jin hugged her.

"Don't touch me, I'm dirty" Peru said.

"It's fine because you're heart isn't" Jin smiled.

"Who's that?" Peru asked pointing towards Cheery.

"She is Cheery, my cousin" Jin said

"Nice to meet you" Cheery smiled.

"Me too. Yay, I got friends!" Peru clapped as they laughed.

"Everything was perfect. We became best friends. I got attracted towards her" Anurag said.

"Don't tell me that you feel in love at such young age" Sonali said.

"*Laughs* it's kinda like that!"

"Freaking great!"

"Peru?" Jin called.

"Yes?"

"What are you doing with those flowers?"

"Making garland for you" Peru smile and put it around his neck.

"But we give garland to God, why you're giving me?" Jin asked.

"God is that who saves us from all the troubles. And for me, you're only my god, My Jinny!" She hugged him.

"Jin! You're again with this street girl?" Mrs Yadav shouted.

"But Momma, she is my best friend" Jin said

"Ugh! I don't want to see this garbage gain with you! The fair is next week, leave this girl as soon as possible" Mrs Yadav went inside the house.

"Fair? But how it's related to you?" Jin asked Peru, as she looked at the ground, sadly.

"It's nothing, Jinny. I think we should break our friendship" She said and ran away.

"Peru! Wait!" He shouted but she didn't stopped.

"My parents left the world when I was just of 2 months" Natasha said to Sonali.

"Then Mrs Yadav?"

"After that aunty and bhai took care of me. She used to sell flowers in the market to keep us alive. Mr Yadav also left her for another woman. Life was going very hard, we spent many days in starvation also. But the time had came when we had to lose aunty also" Natasha said , as few drops of tears fell from her eyes.

"Bhai? You know, today is the fair!!" Cheery said.

"Yes, I'm too excited for it. There will be many people, so many shops" Jin gave a sweet smile.

"Yes but you're not going out today" Mrs Yadav declared , coming inside their room.

"But why Momma?"

"I said no, then a big 'NO' "she left.

"Momma is so bad" he made a pout.

"Don't blame her. Today I'll buy you a Cadbury" Cheery smiled and he too.

"We'll share it with Peru too, okay?' Jin said.

"Huh? O-ok!" She nervously chuckled.

In the evening, there held a big fair and  there were crowds of people.

"Jin! Cheery! I'm going to sell flowers?" Mrs Yadav went to the fair.

It was already 10 but Mrs Yadav didn't return.
Suddenly they heard someone banging on the door

"Jinny! Aunty is in danger!" Peru said, panting

"Why? What happened to Momma?" Jin asked, tensed

"They tried to harass her physically. They are here to trade slumb girls. They are in danger" Peru said and three of them ran to the fair.
