"I hope they like the demo," said Jungkook as he sat on the sand; his knees tucked up under his chin.

It had been seven months since McKay had first met Jungkook on the beach. They would meet every couple days to catch up. During this time they got to know one another better and become best friends. They talked to each other practically every day now. The sunsets were still their favorite thing to enjoy together though. It was their moment where the world was transitioning from one of light into darkness; a moment they both found equally comforting and beautiful.

"I'm sure they will," said McKay. "Just wait. You'll be famous yet."

"Famous, huh? Who said anything about me wanting to be famous?" asked Jungkook with a soft chuckle, looking over at McKay. "I thought that you were the one that wanted to be famous."

"I never said anything about that either. I just said I wanted to be a published author. I don't care if only a few handful of people love my writing, at least I'd feel accomplished."

"Well, I can tell you that there will be people that love it," said Jungkook, "But not as much as I love you."

The admission came as a surprise to McKay. Such a surprise in fact that it didn't even register in her mind at first.

"It'd be nice if there were..."

Her sentence died out as she finally registered what he just said. Her eyes widened in surprise as she looked at Jungkook.

"Wait. What did you just say?"

"You know what I said."

"Say it again.

"I said that I love you," repeated Jungkook; a soft smile making the edge of his lip curl upwards.

"But why me?"

"You really do have a problem shutting off your brain sometimes, don't you?" asked Jungkook with a soft chuckle, leaning forward to press a soft kiss to her forehead before cupping her face in his hands. "Don't question it. Just let it be."

She didn't know what else to say to refute the words leaving his mouth. Leaning forward she kissed him delicately and gently; sharing their first kiss as they were bathed in the end of another day.
