After last night Draco couldn't keep still, apart of him was relieved, satisfied and content. However, the other part of him was annoyed at the fact that he almost let himself slip.
He knew that she deserved more, he shouldn't have had sex with her because now it appeared as if he was out for one thing. And that was far from the truth, but Draco could never resist her, not now and not two years ago.
It had been two years since he had her like that, two years since he had tasted her, kissed her, been inside of her. He never forgot what she felt like, and would never forget.
Draco knew he made a mistake, his obsession with her had only multiplied. That's not what he wanted, he wanted to ease her into it, show her how much he loved and craved her.
But once again, he let temptation get the better of him.
His doorbell ringing made him jump from his seat. He'd barely gotten any sleep last night, so he was on edge and not to mention his thoughts weren't in the right place. He found himself drifting off, delving into the memories he used to have with her.
Draco rose from his sofa, strolling to his front door and swinging it open, on the other side of the door stood Blaise and Theo.
Theo patted his shoulder and barged past him, heading straight towards his kitchen. Blaise frowned and shook his head, walking past Draco to sit on a sofa. He made himself comfortable and lifted one foot so it rested on the coffee table.
Draco shut his door, "next time you come into my house, greet me first."
He walked over to where Blaise sat, Draco raised his foot and kicked off Blaise's foot from the coffee table.
"And get your filthy shoe off my shit."
"Malfoy you called us over here, we didn't ask to come," Theo scrunched his nose, his words muffled by the apple pieces he had shoved into his mouth.
Blaise switched the television on in front of him, flicking through the channels, "exactly, and not to mention it's only 11 am."
"I don't even know why I'm still friends with you both." Draco rolled his eyes and sat on the single chair to the left of Blaise.
"Because without us— you'd be lost," Theo laughed, he sat himself up into the kitchen counter and continued to eat his apple.
"So, you didn't call us over here for brunch, what's the problem?" Blaise asked, his eyes trained on the television in front of him.
"Yeah, what's the problem, is it about Y/N again— you know you should see a doctor with this obsession— it's been what? Two years and you've yet to even say hi to her, even though Pansy works with her, pretty sad if-"
"Shut up Theo, you're honestly so fucking irritating," Draco spat, as much as he cherished his friendship with Theo, he still despised the unnecessary comments he'd make. Everything was a joke to him, which Draco hated.
"Yeah, Theo that was uncalled for," Blaise tried to hold in a laugh but noticed the scowl on Draco's face. He dropped the amused expression and cleared his throat.
"Alright sorry, don't get your knickers in a twist, what is it?" Theo mumbled, he drummed his fingers on the side of the counter.
Draco couldn't help the memories of when he had her on that same counter. His cheeks flushed pink, his palms became sweaty, he could still hear her light moans as he thrusted into her.
"Oh my God— you didn't did you!" Theo's eyes widened, he looked down at the countertop, twisting his face in disgust. He hopped off it and brushed his jogging bottoms.
"Wait— you had sex with her?" Blaise's mouth parted, his eyes matched Theo's ones.
Draco's hand rubbed the back of his neck, "yes."
"How in the fuck did you manage to do that?" Blaise appeared to be working it out in his head, his concentration apparent when he closed his mouth and began to stare into space.
"She knows me, clearly— she just doesn't know me, know me," Draco said, watching both of his friend's reactions.
"But how? She's never met you before, and you were able to get her here— on the fucking countertop that I was sitting on," Theo fake gagged and shook his head.
"Get over it Theo, I obviously cleaned it."
"How do you feel about it? I mean, are you going to see her again?" Blaise asked, he turned the volume down on the television and turned his gaze towards Draco.
"Shit."
Theo rolled his eyes, "isn't this what you wanted? Look on the bright side, you've got past stage one, well no, stage ten— it will be easier to speak with her now."
Draco shook his head, "she didn't even want to stay the night."
Blaise snorted and slapped his hand across his mouth, he looked over at Theo who had a smirk on his face.
"Draco Malfoy has been used for sex, for the first time in his life— and to top it off, he waited two years, just to be used," Blaise snickered.
Theo burst out laughing, clutching his stomach as he bent over, trying to control the loud noise that came from his mouth.
"Didn't your last girlfriend cheat on you, Blaise?" Draco raised an eyebrow, "I'd be used a thousand times by her rather than be cheated on by a girl that I dated for five years."
Blaise's mouth went into a straight line, his eyes hard as he glared at Draco, "that was ages ago, I'm over it."
"It was a few months ago and you still have pictures of her in your house," Draco's words came out harshly, Theo's mouth closed quickly as he realised how intense the conversation had become.
"At least I'm not still hung up on the girl that I obliviated."
"Fuck you, Blaise." Draco clenched his fists together, tempted to throw Blaise out of his house. But he needed his help, he didn't have anyone else to get advice from.
Theo cleared his throat, "what's your plan Malfoy."
"I want to see her again— today."
The three boys discussed their options, they weighed out the possibilities, the outcomes of every scenario. Draco didn't want to come across as a stalker, or a creep. He wanted things to happen naturally, with some force.
Draco didn't want to use Pansy again, she failed the first time and he couldn't rely on her. Pansy and Y/N had been friends all this time, but Pansy knew not to mention Draco, his requests of course.
And even though Pansy had worked with her for the past two years, Draco knew Y/N like the back of his hand. He knew what she did on weekends, what she did to entertain herself during her days off.
And, Draco knew what coffee shop she visited on Saturday's.
Blaise and Theo had left an hour ago, which gave Draco enough time to get ready and go to the coffee shop before Y/N. He didn't want to make it look obvious that he was bumping into her on purpose.
Today was chillier, he wore his usual turtle neck but left the jacket at home. The coffee shop wasn't far from his flat, nor hers, they only lived around 15 minutes away from each other, she didn't know up until last night.
Draco entered the coffee shop, confused about what to order. He hated coffee, and wasn't really a tea drinker either, so he had no idea what to get.
He stood in the queue and observed his surroundings, it wasn't as full as he thought. Maybe that's why she spent so many hours in here, alone, reading a novel, as she liked.
The whole shop suddenly went quiet, the air felt thicker, more tension lingered.
It was her, he turned his head and spotted her walking in, a book placed underneath her arm and her phone in the other hand.
Her eyes were trained on the phone, she hadn't looked up once, too interested in the muggle contraption.
She walked closer to him, only one person stood between them. Draco couldn't help but notice the wobble in her walk, she tried to disguise it but failed miserably.
He laughed under his breath and turned around, she would be the one to notice him first, not Draco.
Draco was next in line, he began to panic when he looked at the coffee list on the board in front of him. Coffee was coffee, why were there so many options, fucking muggles, he thought to himself.
"What can I get you today sir?" The barista spoke in a high pitched voice, a fake grin plastered on her face.
Draco coughed and gave her a quick glance, "can I get a coffee?"
"Sure, which coffee would you like sir?"
"A normal coffee," Draco squinted.
"Yes, I understand you want a coffee, but which one?"
"Any one, I don't really care."
"Do you take your coffee black? Sugar, no sugar? Chocolate perhaps-"
"Fucking hell— sorry, can I just get a normal coffee?"
"Sir-"
"He will have an Americano, I'll have a mocha please, one sugar," Draco heard from behind him. He spun around and saw Y/N standing there, a smirk on her face, partnered with a blush across her cheeks.
"Draco," she smiled, handing the bartender the cash for the two coffees.
Draco's breath caught in his throat, he swiped his tongue across his bottom lip, "Y/N, I didn't know you came here."
She let out a small laugh, "you don't either, clearly."
Embarrassment flooded through Draco, he needed to make an excuse for why he came here and quick.
"Oh— umm, I've been overloaded with work, a colleague of mine advised me to start drinking coffee," he lied, twice. Draco didn't work, he lived comfortably, thanks to his family's wealth.
"Hmm, well your colleague is smart, where do you work?"
"The ministry."
She nodded, "I can understand why you're so busy."
"Here you go," the barista interrupted them, handing over the two coffees. She cut her eye at Draco and gave Y/N a warm smile.
"Thank you," Y/N replied.
She gave Draco's coffee to him, the strong smell filling his nostrils quickly. He could've gagged then and there, but he held it together and thanked her.
It became slightly awkward, neither of them knew what to do next. Draco knew that Y/N would at least spend two hours in the shop. And he wanted to stay with her, but he couldn't impose on her free time, she'd have to ask him first.
"Well, I guess-" Draco began, but was quickly interrupted by her.
"I— are you busy? Do you want to sit down with me? Of course, you don't have to but-"
"Yes." Draco rushed, he mentally slapped himself for being so eager, but he couldn't help it when it came to her.
They found a two-seater table, by the window at the front of the shop. She sat down first and Draco then after. She placed her phone on the table, and then her book.
"You read?" Draco asked.
"Mhm, I love to read."
I know.
"How about you?"
"Sometimes, when I have the time, of course."
Another lie, Draco only read when Y/N did, usually, she'd sit in between his legs, Draco would hold the book open as she read through the chosen book for the week.
Sometimes he'd read through with her, maybe even read the book out loud to her as she snuggled against his chest.
But then there were other times, a game they'd play. Draco's fingers would be inside of her, stretching her with precise skill. He'd make her read every line of the book or chapter without missing a word.
If she missed a sentence or a word he'd delay her orgasm. He'd tell her to start over again until she got it right. Draco would do this for a long time, he knew she couldn't handle it, but he loved to tease.
He loved hearing her breathless as she read, the light moans that slipped her lips mid-sentence. How she clenched around him when he curved his fingers, she'd try so hard to keep her composure.
Towards the end of the game, she would be a mess, Draco's fingers would be soaked, her arousal dripping onto the palm of his hand. Draco loved that game, and so did she.
"Draco?"
Draco was pulled from his thoughts, "sorry, what did you say?"
Draco felt bad, he had the love of his life in front of him, alive and well. But he was too distracted by the memories of her, maybe Theo was right, maybe he needed to see a doctor.
"Don't worry, I get like that sometimes, sometimes I would sit there and stare into space, but it would be blank thoughts."
"What do you mean?"
"I probably sound crazy, but there are times when I'll be doing something, and then everything would stop, it's like— empty space, there's nothing there," Y/N frowned.
Fuck.
"Maybe you're just daydreaming."
"No— I know what daydreaming is, this is different, anyway, back to my question," Y/N took a deep breath and tapped her nails on the table.
"Go on."
"Where were you the last two years of school, I remember you so clearly up to the 5th year, but afterwards nothing, it's like you disappeared."
Fuck.
"I— probably in the dungeons, I had a lot going on before the war," Draco mumbled, this time it wasn't a lie, Draco was telling the truth about this.
She hummed and took a sip of her coffee, a satisfied sigh came from her mouth.
Draco couldn't help but stare at her, she was so beautiful. Delicate and kind, that's what she was. She was the complete opposite of Draco, an unlikely couple but they worked like clockwork.
"I wanted to apologise for last night, by the way," Y/N spoke, she checked her phone and then found Draco's eyes again. He was confused, did she regret what happened?
"Why?"
She took a deep breath, "I don't do things like that, it was very out of the ordinary for me, but for some reason, I felt comfortable with you."
"Please don't regret it."
"I don't," she paused as her cheeks went a pink shade, "trust me I don't— I just didn't want you to think I'm that type of girl."
"I know you're not," Draco whispered.
Fucking idiot Draco.
She raised an eyebrow, "how?"
"I— since school you've never been like that," Draco laughed nervously.
Y/N smiled and nodded, taking a second sip of her coffee, "you're not going to drink yours?"
Draco had almost forgotten about the repulsive coffee that sat in front of him. He gave her a weak smile and lifted the cup towards his mouth, the smell made his stomach churn.
But she was watching him, so he had to make it look like his first time drinking it. And not that he hated the drink prior to today.
He placed the cup onto his lips, tilting it back and taking a small sip. The bitter liquid covered his taste buds, he almost retched as he swallowed it.
"Do you like it?" She smiled, wiggling her eyebrows.
"Yes, it's— nice."
"I knew you would like it!" She said excitedly. Her phone rang suddenly, vibrating against the table. She picked it up and gave Draco apologetic eyes.
"Hello— wait...right now? But it's my day off....can't someone else?....fine...yes....I'll be there."
Draco felt his heart twist, she was going to leave him and he couldn't do anything about it. He didn't even know when he'd see her again, let alone get to speak to her.
"I'm sorry Draco, work called, I have to go," she rushed, picking up her belongings.
"Y/N."
She stood up and paused, taking in a deep breath, "yes Draco?"
"Can I see you again?"
A smirk formed across her lips, "maybe— I'll let you know."
"How will you let me know?" Draco frowned, watching she made her way towards the exit of the coffee shop.
"I'll find a way love," she smiled, she ran over to him and placed a kiss on his cheek and with that, she left the coffee shop.
Love, the nickname she used to call Draco, every day without fail. And she had just called him that again, unknowingly she made his heart race, and just as he thought he couldn't love her any more than he already did, she forced him to.
Draco made himself a promise, that by the end of this year, she would be his again, she would love him as she had before.
And now he had another task, how to reverse that fucking memory charm.
