Your P.O.V : 

         Oh ! Hello there ! ….. Oh come on ! At Least respond by saying " General Kenobi !" . Geez, kids just don't appreciate a good reference these days, do they ? Regardless, you must be wondering what and where you are. Don't worry. I just found that you wanted to know about the history of the cosmos. So I thought, who better than me to tell you about it ! Oh, you're wondering who I am. Why, I thought you must have realised by now ! 

It's a me , a Nyarlothep ! 

      Eh, why are you running ?! Oh …..! Wait, wait ! Calm down ! I know I don't exactly have the best reputation, and to be fair I'm kinda responsible for it, but I'm not that bad of a person ! Hell, I don't even kill that often ! I just alter and screw up your entire life ! I guess I am in need of some serious rebranding. Any suggestions ? I was thinking about going for the whole ' God of pranksters ' or something but unfortunately Loki already trademarked the department of pranks. Damn that bastard ! Annoying me, even after death ! I mean,I prank him just a few hundred times and disguise as him and mess with his wife a little bit, and he holds a grudge against me for the rest of his life ?! What the hell man ! Oh well, I guess you aren't here to hear me complain about these things now are you ? So , about the history of the cosmos. Do you want the long version, or the short version ? Eh, so you don't want to listen to a story for a few centuries ? Well then buddy, you have no choice but to choose the short version ! Let's begin our story , shall we ? 

                      ------------X-------------

      In the beginning, there was nothing. The essence of emptiness, the space between dimensions, the void itself was absent. Space , Time, matter , the laws , the forces , dreams, reality, all were absent. However from this emptiness, a single entity emerged. The entity was all that existed. The entity only stayed put in its place. It had neither needs nor desires. It was completely content with its state. However the entity wouldn't stay alone for long. 

      Soon , from the same nothingness, another being emerged. The being while was a structure that the first entity couldn't define.  However, if a normal individual were to gaze upon the second being, it would immediately identify the appearance as that of a humanoid female . With the second entity's movement, space came into being. Accompanying the birth of space, time soon came into existence. The being, discontent by the emptiness around her, willed the creation of light. With the birth of light, the being saw another being besides her .  She approached the first entity. While no words were spoken, they were communicating. For beings like them, words were not required  . She questioned the first entity, " What are 
you ? " The entity calmly replied, " Something that has always been. I've already been before you came into being. " The second being questioned him curiously , " Then why didn't you do anything ?" The entity once again calmly replied, " Is there a need to ?" 

        The second being was puzzled by his answer. She instinctively knew that the other being was perhaps just as powerful as her, yet he lacked any desire to do anything. She asked the first being once again, " Why wouldn't you ?" The first entity, not quite understanding her, maintained his silence. The second being replied cheerfully, " No matter your will. From now on, I , Maya , will be with you !" The first entity curiously said , " Maya ?...." 

      The second being, who had proclaimed herself as Maya , seemingly proud of herself said, " Yes. That is what I will call myself. I will call it , ' A name ' . It will be something that someone else will use for calling you !" The first entity still held a puzzled look. Maya suddenly made a face, as if she had realised something and exclaimed, " Oh I know ! You want a ' Name ' for yourself, don't you ?!" The first entity, once again, held his silence. Maya however, taking it as a sign of confirmation, said, " Hmmm….. Let's see…. Hmmm…. I know ! How about ,' Mahakala' ?! "  Maya kept a cheerful smile on her face. The  first being , took a moment to compose himself, before opening his mouth. This marked the first word that was spoken into existence, as the being said, " Mahakala…."

      The Mahakala sat on his  throne. He was seated inside his palace, one which he had created upon Maya's insistence after she pestered him for nearly hundred years. A lot of time had passed since he had first met her. The existence that she had created had now started to give rise to other beings too. However these beings, with the exception of one were truly weak. They had something that they called, ' A soul ' which was necessary for their survival.  They required another being like them to ' mate ' with , to produce another being like them. They apparently even had differences among them, but he himself could never bother with such trivialities. Soon , someone entered the throne room . It was one of the beings he had created, Drakon. While he was the only of his kind, upon the request of one of the beings of the cosmos and one of the only beings whose strength he acknowledged, Inferno, the Progenitor of demons , he had allowed him to propagate his bloodline. This had given rise to a new species, which named themselves, ' Dragons ' . While he was disappointed with their strength, he didn't exactly have much hope from them, so he didn't mind. Drakon kneeled in front of him and said that Inferno, the Progenitor of Demonkind requested his permission to meet him. 

        Mahakala only responded with a nod as Drakon got up and left the room after bowing once again. Soon, a being with black skin and blood shot eyes entered the hall. He bowed and paid his respects to the Mahakala. The Mahakala , being an individual of few words, nodded to show his acceptance. Inferno said that he wished to invite the Mahakala to hell as a means for showing his gratitude. It was certainly true. . The Mahakala accepted and told him that he would be there . 

           The Mahakala remembered about how he had involved himself with their family. He Mahakala had implanted a part of his power, a fragment of the Third Eye itself inside Inferno's daughter before her birth. While this had caused the child's mother to die, the child itself survived . And Inferno's daughter, daityayani was someone that he was quite impressed with not only her power, but also her skills as he was the one who was teaching her personally about the mystic arts. It seemed like only yesterday that all this happened. She had already grown up. He vividly remembered how she rushed to him giddily when she started to first harness the power of the third eye. She was just like Maya in that sense. Of course, Maya herself had resolved from most of her duties by creating something she called, 
' The Will of the World ' . At some point, he himself had grown accustomed to both of their presences. For some reason, he wished to be with them at all times, not letting them go. He found himself to deliberately annoy Maya just so she could stay longer to scold him or how he extended his lessons with daityayani to spend more time with her. At first he was confused, so he went to Vasuki, the first being he had created for advice. According to Vasuki, what he was currently experiencing was the emotion that the lesser beings called ' Love '. At first, he found this notion completely absurd. However, with time, he had grown to accept it. He had decided that today, he would request to daityayani and Maya about what they called ' Marriage ' . 

        However, when the Mahakala reached hell, things didn't go as expected . Inferno had attacked him in an ambush. The Mahakala puzzled by his behaviour asked him angrily the meaning of his actions. Inferno arrogantly said to him that he wished to steal the Third Eye, the essence of his power from him. It was also the reason why he had asked him to implant it's fragment into his daughter, just so he could take it from her in the future. He revealed that he had sealed away Maya , and soon he would have her power as well. He felt a strange emotion for the first time. What he felt, was pure unbridled rage for the first time.

          A great battle took place between them. Entirety of existence trembled due to the battle. Worlds were destroyed by the clash of the two forces. However, in spite of this, The Mahakala was being pushed back since while he depended solely upon his own strength, inferno had honed his skills and strength throughout the years. The Mahakala couldn't also use his greatest power,  the power of the Third Eye, since doing so  would result in the complete destruction of the cosmos. As such, he did the  only thing he could . He used all of his power to seal away inferno . In doing so however, he had destroyed his own self too. Daityayani upon discovering this, was struck by grief. Her grief filled rampage lasted for a many years before she gave up and destroyed her own self , accepting the same fate as her beloved.

       A teenage boy ran through the streets. He had a giddy look on his face. After all, how couldn't he ? Today was the day when he would finally propose to her, the love of his life, Aurelia. He was just a roadside nobody before she pitied him and helped him . She saved him from the verge of death and nursed him. All his life, he had no one to call his own. As such he had no name of his own. He addressed himself the same way the other bullies did, trash. However she was the one who showed him affection and gave him a real name, ' Ashura ' . Since then, he had changed a lot. He was finally able to stand on his own two feet and had a job now , instead of being jobless. Today he had purchased something for her out of his first salary, a small brooch. He once saw her admiring it on the shelves. He smiled thinking about how happy she would be upon receiving it. He couldn't contain his anticipation and nervousness. 

        However, as he looked up, he saw that  the sky turned dark suddenly. In the dark skies , strange glowing circles appeared. As the people were staring at the strange phenomena, out of these circles, like doorways, horrific creatures appeared. The beings were misshapen and revolting to look at. With scaly wings and long horns , they descended on the ground. Before the people around could react, the creatures started to tear through the people. The people began to panic and run away. However most were easily captured by the claws of the horrific beings as more of them started to step out of the circles. He himself ran, not paying attention to the surroundings. However, through the glimpses that he saw, he observed that some people lay on the ground, wounded by either the creatures or even having been trampled under the stampede. Some unfortunate of them had their bodies completely obliterated by some sort of strange light that emerged from those creatures' hands when they repeated some sort of unknown sounds. 

       He ran without a care in the world. His only goal was to get Aurelia and get her to safety. He wanted to go somewhere, anywhere safe, at least away from here. He soon approached the place where Aurelia worked.  From a distance he saw her. He breathed a sigh of relief seeing that she was safe. She was helping to evacuate the others. He started to run towards her. But he saw something that made his heart freeze in terror. He saw one of the creatures land right in front of her. With a single swipe, it took her life. Ashura screamed seeing her limp body fall on the ground. The creature did not care as it had already flown away, perhaps to hunt for its next target. 

      Ashura ran and picked up Aurelia's body in his arms. He pleaded and begged her to get up but it was too late. As he screamed in pain at his loss, a bluish light emerged from his body. In the pitch darkness, it was if the sun had suddenly arrived in all its glory on the ground. Before the people or the creatures could react, the light had engulfed everything. With that, his universe had come to an end…..

      Ashura soon found himself in some sort of strange place. He was in some sort of large hall. Everything around him was in the combination of the colours  pure white and light blue. He found himself face to face with seven people in front of him. They revealed to him , that his world had been invaded by demons. He was chosen by Aura, the purest form of light in the cosmos as it's bearer . However , before he could be discovered by them and awakened, his grief had caused the aura inside him to go berserk, which had now destroyed his universe. 

       They revealed to him that they themselves were chosen prior to him to bear the will of aura, The Aura Guardian. They had the responsibility of maintaining balance and safeguarding species throughout the cosmos. Ashura had realised that his world was already gone and so was the love of his life. He told the prior aura guardians that he wished to follow in their footsteps and maintain balance through the cosmos. He took an oath that he would never let another soul suffer the same fate as him . 

         He became the first pupil of the first Aura Guardian, Sir Aaron, The Light Bringer. Upon completing his training, he was given the title, Sir Ashura, Herald of Dawn . He became the youngest to master aura, at a mere 18 years , while even Sir Aaron had required nearly more than 300 years to do so. He had ascended as a higher being and True to his oath and title, his ascension ushered a new era for the cosmos. He brought to justice not just the rampaging demons, but also the various species which terrorised the weaker beings. 

       However he wasn't just someone who shielded the weak. No , he was someone who also helped them to stand on their own feet. For example, until that point, the knowledge of the mystic arts was available only to Higher Beings, a few gods and a select few species in the cosmos. Lesser beings like humans had no means to protect them. However, Sir Ashura began to propagate this knowledge to them. While the various Higher Beings were discontent with his decision as they did not want humans to have this knowledge, they dared not oppose the one who held dominion over all of the cosmos's force of Light. 

       He also put in place various systems in the collective unconscious. While the collective unconscious and the aracanas existed even before him, he reshaped it so that individuals of the Fool arcana could harness a larger portion of the collective unconscious and act as guardians for their worlds. Taking the name Philemon, he created the velvet room and the Akakshic records, two facilities which would help and guide the fool's. He then created his assistant, Igor, who himself would go on to create homunculi known as the Velvet Room siblings, who would act under him to help the fools. He even created personas, facets of the soul, which like martial spirits, could be summoned by the user.     

        He took upon himself the responsibility of mentoring the immature gods that were coming into existence in the various dimensions. Acting as their mentor, he taught them and guided them so that they could build great pantheons for their own fellow gods. And where gods were not present, he himself changed his appearance and took forms to guide and give hope to the residents of that dimension. 

        Eventually he came upon a dimension. He saw a single goddess that was present there. The goddess called herself Izanami. Eventually, both of them fell in love. While he still had Aurelia in his heart, he still loved Izanami. He took a name similar to her and named himself Izanagi.  Together, they shaped an entire dimension called Heaven which would serve as a Nexus for all gods of various pantheons throughout the cosmos. Under the protection of the Aura Guardian, they flourished. 

       After a few aeons, Izanagi handed over the reins of heaven to his son , The Heavenly Emperor, Ziwei. He then began to once again venture into the other worlds, taking various forms under various names to guide the lesser beings. Various names of him spread through the ages. In the form of Abe no seimei, he created the system of Onmyodo, which gave humans a new tool for fighting against the various mystical beasts and such. The creation of Onmyodo shook the cosmos as it was an entirely new form of mystic arts and the biggest thing was that the first to create and master it were not Higher Beings or even gods , but mere humans. 

      As news of it spread,soon a small group of cidonians, beings who belonged to the civilization Ritania which was a multiplanetary civilization visited earth. Their species was known for their arrogance and supposed superiority throughout the cosmos. They were notorious for destroying worlds if they found out a certain civilization that they deemed lesser ( which in their case we're all civilisations)  , they would snatch their object of interest and then either enslave the civilization or destroy it. All of them were at the true God realm while most of the cultivators on that earth were only at Nascent soul and Venerable Magus realm. They thought that humans with their low cultivation level could never beat them and they could take all of the knowledge of Onmyodo for themselves and kill all its current practitioners on earth as they believed humans didn't deserve such things. 

         After reaching earth, they arrogantly demanded Seimei to hand over all the secrets of Onmyodo and for all of humans to submit to them . Seimei was knowing of their deeds and the acts of their civilization. He calmly told them to retreat or that their entire civilization would face disastrous consequences. When they didn't heed his warning and decided to attack him for his supposed insolence, Seimei revealed his true form as Izanagi and defeated and killed each of them. Then in a matter of mere moments, he warped himself to the outer reaches of the galaxy that Ritania was located. With the spear that was wielded by the various Aura Guardians throughout the ages and now passed to him, The Amenonuhoko . With it, he wiped their entire galaxy with a single strike. 

        The news spread through the cosmos like wildfire. While a Higher Being destroying one or sometimes multiple galaxies because they were annoyed or hell, sometimes just bored was no new thing, this time it was different. The reason for this was that the Aura Guardian had destroyed the Ritanian civilization only because they threatened humanity. This was a clear message to everyone that humans were under the Aura Guardian's protection. However, as if it wasn't emphasized enough, the Heavens soon released a decree , stating that, henceforth, any God, Pantheon of Gods or civilization that threatened or caused harm to humans or beings descended from humans all throughout the cosmos would be considered direct enemies of Heaven and more importantly, The Aura Guardian . The decree ensured peace for all humans throughout the cosmos. 

      After several Yugas had passed, the Aura Guardian once again sensed a turmoil in the cosmos. Aura itself being the force of Light told him that some great evil was about to awaken. Something that would threaten the balance of the cosmos. As such, he once again took form as a normal human on earth, going simply by the name ash. What he didn't know was that this time, his whole world was going to be upturned. 

      During this incarnation, he came across someone unexpected. Aurelia had been reincarnated , this time as a princess named Aria. While he initially tried to distance her away from himself, he still believed that her getting involved with him would only prove disastrous for her. However, she wasn't going to let his efforts succeed . Since childhood, Aria kept tailing him, even if he tried to avoid her. Eventually, he took on the position of a knight in the kingdom. His achievements brought him fame throughout the kingdom. This was done by him to ensure that whenever the evil would awaken, he would have the first opportunity to fight against it. 

       Soon the princess confessed her love to him. However, before he could respond, the evil he had sensed made an appearance. It was the Progenitor of Demonkind, Inferno himself. Upon seeing Ashura, Inferno first was surprised, but then mocked him for having gotten weak as he had forgotten his existence. Ashura, while confused, revealed himself as the Aura Guardian and still tried to attack Inferno. However he was shocked that even his strongest attacks didn't faze him. Inferno gloated him and left his servant , Ilryos. 

       Ilryos then decided to fight with Ashura. Sensing that even this servant of the proclaimed progenitor of Demonkind was a troublesome opponent for him , Ashura immediately requested his son , Ziwei for help. Arriving on the Pushpak Vimana, Ziwei along with Izanami showed up and fought along Ashura against Ilryos. They had teleported themselves and Ilryos to the void to prevent the destruction of earth due to their battle. 

       However, even with the three working together, they were only able to make a stand against Ilryos , not defeat him. While they were beginning to lose hope, a figure showed up in the void. The woman, who had showed up, effortlessly defeated Ilryos. As Ashura and his family returned to earth along with the woman, she revealed herself to be Maya, the paramount Dao herself. She revealed that Ashura and Aria, or rather Aurelia were as a matter of fact, the Mahakala and daityayani reincarnated. She also told them that Inferno wished to destroy all of the cosmos including Demonkind and recreate existence in his image. She herself could not fight at her full strength since doing so could result in existence itself getting unstable and running the risk of it falling apart. 
 

       She told Ashura and Aria that they would have to absorb the energy from the Akashganga , a river of sorts which flowed through the void, nourishing the energy of the cosmos. However, unlike a normal river, what flowed through the Akashganga was not water, but rather the primordial energy, Numen itself. 

       After absorbing the energy, both Ashura and Aria were successful in harnessing the power of the Third Eye and together with Maya and Izanami, they finally defeated Inferno. After that, a peace treaty was signed between Heaven and Hell, which led to peace being ushered throughout the cosmos…..

       And there you have it ! The story of the cosmos ! Of course if you must have noticed,  the end part  where Ashura took the name ash and Daityayani regained her memories felt weird, right ? A bit off place, perhaps ? Well, what you're feeling currently is unsatisfaction . Know why ? Because in the end, we reached the crescendo, the climax, without any build-up. This huge threat to the cosmos, the progenitor of Demonkind was just ended in a few sentences ?! That's outrageous! Right ? Well, you are right . Kinda, sorta. After all, when you shorten a story, you do skip away parts of it. You cut short the various chain of events leading to another event. Like how I didn't mention that there were a few Demon Lords that opposed the truce between Heaven and Hell so Daityayani just slaughtered all of them ( She's the Demon Goddess, what do you expect ?) Or what happened to the first son of Izanagi ?

     All those stories are perhaps for some another day, some other time. Perhaps, if fate ordains , we'll meet again. Who knows what the future holds ? But for now, goodbye………

     So as you may have noticed, I kinda thought about writing this chapter in a different manner, as if Nyarlothep was narrating the whole story to you , the reader. I thought it would be fun to do so. And yes as mentioned above, the ending of the story may seem kinda weird. But that's to be expected considering I fit what was going to comprise of three different books in my original plan into just a few thousand words. Regardless, tell me if there are any mistakes, questions about the lore, any improvements that I can do or just questions in general.
