Kid Jaya
New A/N: I was (still am) seriously considering making this a book AFTER I finish one of my other books. Would you guys be interested?
What better way to cure sickness than to write some kid Jaya. Let's see if I fall asleep writing this. Enjoy!
(One more thing, Jay and Kai are 4, Nya is 3)
Jay's Pov
"Jay, come on! You don't want to be late for your playdate!" Mommy yelled.
"Coming Mommy!" I yelled back. I bounded out of my house and into the sandy desert. I got into our car and we started driving.
"Where are we going?" I asked.
"Ignacia," Daddy said.
"There's some very lovely siblings there that you're going to play with," Mommy told me.
"Who?" I asked.
"A boy and a girl. I-"
"Is she hot?" Mommy and Daddy started laughing.
"Son, where did you learn that?" Daddy asked.
"You call Mommy hot sometimes so that means all girls are hot, right?"
"I-uhm," Daddy looked at Mommy who didn't look too happy. I think Mommy told me something but I was too busy looking out the window.
"What's that green stuff on the ground. Is it green sand?" Mommy amd Daddy laughed again.
"What's so funny?" I wanted to know.
"You are Jay," Mommy said.
"The green on the ground is called grass," Daddy told me. "And on grass, there grows flowers."
"Like that red thing up that hill?" I pointed. It was one big flower.
"No. I think that's our friends' house!" She exclaimed.
We pulled up near the house, but not too close. (And this is where I took my 3hr nap) Two people came out. The man looked kinda scary though.
"Ed! Edna!" I saw the woman with black hair say, running up to my parents. Everyone hugged. I just watched. I didn't know these people.
"Jay dearie, come here," Mommy said. I slowly walked foward. I don't know why I was so shy.
"Jay, this is Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Ray, Maya, this is Jay." I looked up at my mommy who just introduced me to these adults. She just smiled back at me.
"It's nice to meet you sweetheart," said Mrs. Smith. I sheepishly waved at her.
"Shy?" Mr. Smith asked Daddy.
"Only around adults," he chuckled.
"Kai and Nya are around back, I'm sure you'd like to meet them," Mrs. Smith said.
I nodded my head really fast. "Yes." Mommy glanced at me. "Please," I quickly added.
She took me to the backyard while my parents went inside with Mr. Smith. I still thought he was scary. I'm gonna call him scary man!
I saw a boy with spikey hair walking around.
"Kai! Come here, I want you to meet someone." I didn't notice before, but Mrs. Smith was now holding my hand.
"What mom?" The boy crossed his arms and then looked at me. "Oh." He sounded a bit disappointed when he saw me.
"Hi, I'm Jay!" I stuck out my hand. He looked at me weird.
"Kai," he said, not shaking my hand, so I dropped it.
"Where's your sister?" Kai's mom asked.
"We're playing hide and seek," he answered.
"Okay. I'm going back inside then. You can introduce yourself, right Jay?"
"Mhm," I nodded really fast.
"Have fun!" Mrs. Smith called to us.
"You can help me find her," Kai said. "Come on!"
We walked a few steps before I blurted out:
"Is she hot?" I quickly covered my mouth. Kai looked at me like I was an idiot.
"She shouldn't be, it's not too hot out today."
"That's not what I meant," I quietly said.
Kai started looking behind the bushes.
"Does she like blue?"
"Ask her yourself," Kai shrugged. "Wait a minute. Back off," he warned. Did that scare me? Not one bit.
I started to move towards the tall green stuff. It was way taller than my head. Suddenly I was being pulled into the tall green stuff by someone. I was about to scream, but a hand was over my mouth. I was dragged along to an opening in the tall green stuff. Then I saw the girl who must've took me. My mouth dropped open. She was pretty. So so pretty.
"If you're not Kai, you must be the boy who's coming over today!" she happily exclamied.
"Do you like blue?" I asked her. I just had to know.
"It's my favorite color!" she giggled. I quietly said "yes" to myself and did a little happy dance. I heard her laugh again. Her laugh was so so pretty too.
"I'm Nya," she said, shyly holding out her hand.
"Jay," I told her, taking her hand. I didn't shake it though. "Nya's a pretty name."
"So is Jay," she said. I think we both noticed our hands holding wach other and we quickly dropped them.
"Your face is red," I told her.
"Your face is red!" she shot back. We both burst out laughing.
"You two are really bad at being quiet."
"AHHHHHH!" we both screamed.
"Oh, it's just you," Nya said. I saw who she was talking about. Kai.
"Hi Kai!" I exclamied.
"What were you two doing back here?" he questioned.
"She dragged me back here," I told him.
"You don't drag random boys back here," Kai crossed his arms.
"But he's not a random boy," Nya retorted. Wow. She was pretty when she was arguing.
"Kids! It's lunch time!" someone's mom yelled.
"Already?" Nya asked.
"I'm starving!" I tell them.
"I wonder what's for lunch," Kai said.
Sandwichs and chips. That was what's for lunch. And it was yummy too. And I kept on making everyone laugh. Lunch just might be my favorite thing ever! Though, I know a couple people who are better than lunch...
"Mom, can we go swimming?" Nya asked after lunch.
"You guys have a pool?" I asked.
"Even better. A pond!" Her eyes were sparkling. I think I was staring at her again. She does this to me. A lot actually.
"I don't have my bathing suit though."
"Actually, I brought it with me, just in case," Mommy said.
"Yes Nya, you can go swimming."
"Really?" I ask, smiling big. "Thank you Mommy, you're the best!" I hugged her.
"Let me go get it from the car," she told me.
I noticed that Kai was mad and mumbling to himself.
"Aren't you gonna swim Kai?" I ask.
"No. I hate the water," he replied with crossed arms. He walked up to his dad. "Dad, can I go play video games?"
"While the other two are swimming."
"Oooo video games? I love video games!" I tell Kai.
"Sweet!" Kai said. "Maybe when you're done swimming we can have a competition!"
"Yeah!" I tell him.
"Here's your swimsuit Jay." Mommy handed me my blue ones with lots of lightning bolts on them.
"Thanks!" I say. We went inside so I could go change.
♡♡♡
"That's a pretty swimsuit," I say, running to the edge of the pond. She was wearing a dark red swimsuit with a cool wave design.
"Thanks. I like your lightning ones."
"Me too," I say. Nya giggled. Then Nya jumped into the pond making a big splash.
"Come on!" she yelled. I put my foot into the water and instantly took it back out.
"It's too cold!" I tell her.
"Just jump in. It'll be less cold that way."
"O-okay. I trust you." I took a deep breath and jumped in. Water splashed all around my face.
"It is less cold!" I smiled.
"I told you," she smiled back at me. I sighed. Could anyone be anymore pretty? Then, I felt water hit my face and go into my open mouth.
"Hey!" I yelled at Nya, but I was laughing too. I splashed her back. Soon, we were in a huge splash fight until Mrs. Smith told us to stop.
"Wanna see how long I can hold my breath for?" Nya asked me.
"Yeah! I'll count!" Nya took a deep breath and went under.
"1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 5, 8, 6, 9," Nya gasped as she came up. "Wow, nine seconds!" I tell her! "That's amazing! I can't hold my breath for that long!"
"I know!" Then the water high fived her.
"Whoa..." I watched.
"The water loves me." I laughed.
"I like the sky."
"Can you swim?" she asked.
"Yeah! Can you?"
"Duh." She was too pretty when she said that. "Wanna race?"
"Yeah!" Why can I only say yeah to her?
"1, 2, uhhh, go!" We took off. Only Nya was so much faster than me. She was like a fish! I tried to swim faster to keep up, but I was getting tired. I finally stopped swimming and stood in the water on my tiptoes. It was super deep right here.
"Boo!" Nya popped out of the water and scared me. I fell backwards not able to find the ground. Nya grabbed my hands and yanked me foward to where it's shallow... and into her.
"Ow," I said. Nya was breathing heavily. "Are you okay? Did I hurt you?" I asked her.
"No, I'm fine. You just scared me, that's all."
"You're strong," I told her.
"It's from swimming," she grined. "But I'm glad you're okay." She swung our hands a little. We were still pretty close. I looked at her, she looked at me and-
"Jay, Nya, it's time to get out now!" her mom yelled.
"But-" Nya tried to argue.
"Now!"
"Coming!" Nya sounded disapointed. She let go of my hands and started trudging through the water. I followed behind her wondering if I should say something to make her feel better.
"Nya?" She stopped and turned around to look at me.
"I-I," I looked at our moms standing near the pond, waiting for us. "Nevermind," I sighed.
Why was everything so sad now? A minute ago I was happy.
My mommy greeted me with a towel. "Did you have fun Jay?"
"Yeah... we're not leaving yet, are we?"
"No, not yet. But we'll have to soon." She kept rubbing me dry with a towel.
"How long?"
"An hour or so." I snatched the towel for myself.
"I can dry myself off," I tell her, wrapping the towel around me. I glanced over at Nya who was getting yelled at by her mom.
Me and my mom started walking inside. Nya ran past us, crying. Her mom caught up with us.
"What happened to her?" Mommy asked her.
"I sent her for a timeout. She should be fine though."
A timeout? "Why is she in trouble?" I found myself asking. "Oops." I didn't mean to say that out loud.
"She wasn't supposed to go that deep into the pond. Especially with you," Mrs. Smith answered.
"Oh," was all I could say.
♡♡♡
"Jay, are we gonna play? I convinced mom to let me play longer," Kai told me.
"Oooo, yeah!" I hopped onto his couch and grabbed a controler.
"You know how to play NinjaKart?"
"I love that game!"
"Me too! And I'm gonna beat you."
"Not if I beat you first!"
15 minutes later
"Ha! I totally crossed the finish line first!" I yelled.
"No way! You were not faster than me!" Kai yelled back. We looked on screen for the results.
"A tie!?!" We both shout. We started to argue more.
"But neither of you are better than me," Nya said, plopping down in between us with a controler in her hand.
"Can not," Kai scoffed.
"Can so. Do I need to remind you what happened last week?" Nya crossed her arms all... I don't know the word for it. But it was pretty.
"What happened last week?" I asked.
"I super duper beat Kai," she told me. Turning towards Kai she said, "and you totally thought you were gonna beat me."
"Ugh. Let's just play."
Another 15 minutes later
"
Ha! I won!" Kai yelled. "In your face!" Nya looked like she wanted to punch him.
"At least you beat me," I told her.
"Yeah! I beat you!" she was happy again. "But I wish I beat Kai." Kai had jumped off the couch and was starting to walk down the hallway.
"Where are you going?" I asked.
"Bathroom," he replied. And then he dissappeared into a room.
"I think we're alone now," Nya told me.
"Well, our dads were watching Ninjaball Run in their basment. My mom was trying to talk to them. And your mom is outside?" Nya nodded. "Yeah, I guess we are alone."
Nya was on her knees, facing me. Did I mention how pretty she is?
"Come here," she told me.
I giggled. "I am here silly."
She rolled her eyes. "Come closer." I scooted closer. "Closer," she said. I moved until I felt her knee touch my leg. My eyes widened.
"You're really pretty," I told her happily. I slapped a hand over my mouth. I did not just say that! "Did I say that out loud?" I laughed nervously. Her face turned red.
"You're pretty too," she told me. I think my face was red too. "Do you wanna know why I made you come closer?"
"Yeah!"
Then, she kissed me! It was short and sweet, but I liked it. No, I really really really liked it!
"I-I-uhm-uh..." I stared at her.
"Did you like it?" she asked worriedly.
"More than like," I said.
"Really like?"
"No."
"Really really like it?" I grabbed her hands.
"This is how much I liked it," and I kissed her.
"You really really really liked it," she whispered.
"Yeah," I whispered back.
"Me too," she said. Then we hugged until we heard footsteps. We quickly pulled apart only to see Kai. Nya slumped on the couch and I giggled.
"What did you two do? Kiss or something?" I laughed louder but Nya glared at Kai.
"No, idoit," she told him.
"Moooommm!" Kai yelled.
"Wait! Don't tell mom!"
"You called me an idoit!" Kai whined.
"I'm sorry! I just don't wanna get in trouble again!" Nya begged.
"Fine," Kai sighed, "but just this once."
"Thank you Kai," Nya hugged him.
But all of our parents came to us anyways.
"Jay, dearie, we have to go," Mommy told me.
"But why?" I asked. I didn't want to leave.
"We have to get home. I'll get your stuff. You go to the car," she told me.
"You guys wanna come?" I ask them.
Kai gasped. "I forgot to clean my room! I can't go."
"I had fun playing with you. Bye Kai," I said and we fist bummed. I figured that he doesn't like hugs.
"Yeah, me too. Bye!" Kai ran to his room while me and Nya walked outside.
I took her hands and held them. "I think we should keep the kisses a secret," I tell her.
"Me too," she agreed. "I don't think dad would like it very much." I nodded. "I think we should keep whatever we call this a secret too," she said looking me in the eyes.
"You want to run away?" I was confused.
"No, I mean," she glanced down at our hands, "this," she said, lifting our hands.
"Us?" I suggested.
"I think so?"
"We'll say that for now. Us."
"Us," she agreed. I saw our parents coming out so Nya turned our hand holding into a short hug.
"Bye Jay," she whispered.
"Bye Nya," I also whispered. Then she turned and ran inside.
"Nya," I whispered again. I liked whispering her name.
My parents came over to me.
"Now Jay, what do you say to Mr. and Mrs. Smith?" Mom told me.
"Thank you, I had fun," I told them.
"You're welcome," Mr. Smith said.
"You can come back anytime," Mrs. Smith told me.
"I can?" I exclaim.
She nodded.
"I'd like that!" I say, hugging her.
As the car drove off I waved back at them.
"Did you like Kai and Nya?" Mommy asked.
"Yeah! I had fun with Kai and Nya." I sighed. "Nya," I whispered, "I like that name."
Done! Though, I did not expect this to take me almost 12 hours to write. Of course I wasn't writing all day... but I'm glad I finished it. I could probably make a whole story line off of this. After I finish the Valentine's Special of course. Your guys' thoughts? I really need a Jaya oneshot book, XD.
