Part 2! Read the first part to understand this one!

Zombies - Kaname, Fuuto, Tsubaki, Iori, Yusuke, Wataru, Subaru

Humans - You, Azusa, Natsume

You held your breath and hid behind a wall when you spot Subaru surveying the first floor with a bandana around his forehead. You grit your teeth, knowing that there are only at most three humans left. You'd need to avoid seven zombies in the next hour.

"Don't worry, (Y/N). As long as I'm here, you'll make it to the end." Natsume assures you as he reloads his own nerf gun.

"Thanks," You smiled at him, "we should find Azusa, three people will have a better chance than two."

"We'll search the courtyard, first, then."

Nodding at each other, you slip to one of the many exits of the house to the courtyard. 

The first thing you saw was Kaname, Tsubaki, Iori, and Yusuke cornering Azusa into a wall. There was no way he could get out of four people. You and Natsume nodded at each other before you dashed out. 

Catching the enemies by surprise, the two of you--with Azusa's help--managed to stun all four zombies with only five bullets.

"Darn." Kaname chuckled, "I can't deny that was a good tactic."

Tsubaki glared childishly, "You better run, we're gonna get ya!"

"Thanks, guys." Azusa says while the three of you run back into the threshold, "I'm a little concerned, though, I haven't seen Fuuto all night."

You felt a shiver go down your spine at the mention of the sly boy who didn't tag you when he had the perfect chance to. Just what is he up to?

"We last saw Subaru on the first floor, we better be careful." Natsume warns as the two boys go on ahead quietly. You silently giggled behind their backs at how seriously they're both taking the game.

Azusa stopped, then made a hand gesture pointing upwards. You and Natsume glance up to see Subaru and Wataru patrolling the second floor, closing inspecting every room. If Natsume had still been hiding in the closet by now, they would've caught him.

Keeping quiet, you guided Natsume and Azusa to the opposite end of the house. You hid inside the garage to orchestrate your next courses of action.

"We can't risk running for the forty minutes, surely Yusuke or Subaru would be able to catch up to us." Azusa analyzes.

"I think the best thing to do is go to the front gate, the three of our firepower combined should be able to hold them off until time's up." Natsume says, "But first, there should be more nerf guns around that were left by humans when they got caught."

"Let's meet at the front gate in ten minutes. If one of us don't get there by midnight, they'll be presumed turned." You said. The three of you agreed on your plan before going separate ways to see if any of you could retrieve any more weapons.

You had Iori's and Yusuke's nerf gun. There should be two more laying around somewhere in the house. In the beginning, Wataru wanted to hold two, so you gave his to him. Then, you got separated, meaning Wataru should've had two. But when you found him, there wasn't any around him and he only mentioned Subaru taking one. Where did the other one go?

You examined the kitchen thoroughly once more to make sure Wataru didn't drop one around there. Moments later, you heard footsteps coming so you quickly stuffed yourself into a nearby cabinet.

As quietly as possible, you quickly shuffled bags of flour and pots and pans in front of you to form a shield-like barrier, then laid down horizontally and crammed your legs up to fit. You managed to stuff the two nerf guns you possessed in between your face and the barrier you constructed. By the time you did so, whoever came into the kitchen just began opening every cabinet to make sure no one was hiding in them.

"Damn... where did she go...?" You held your breath in nervously when you heard Fuuto's voice. He's been looking for you, and only you, this whole time. He's pretty darn close this time, too.

"I know I wasn't supposed to touch the toy guns as a zombie... but whatever, kicking it into a bathroom doesn't count. I'll just act like I don't know how it got there like the rest." He mumbled to himself, unbeknownst that you could hear everything.

Your cabinet opened and quickly closed in Fuuto's hastiness. You shakily let out a breath when his footsteps retreated towards the back of the house. You were smart to have set up that barrier of regular kitchen supplies.

And now, you knew where the last nerf gun was. 

You arrived at the front gate a minute late, but you had three nerf guns with you. Azusa and Natsume were both already there, with Natsume possessing two. He must've found the one Subaru dropped.

"I thought we lost you, there!" Azusa exclaimed when you handed him the nerf gun you found casually lying in a bathroom, just as Fuuto said. Maybe this tells you to not include him in future games.

"Good work." Natsume commented while he readjusted his grip, "get ready. They should be finding us any moment now."

However, ten minutes passed with none of them discovering you. You caught glimpses of people walking inside through the large glass windows, but none saw you. 

"The most dangerous spot is the safest spot." Azusa commented with a sigh, "the front gate is so obvious no one thought we'd be here."

"This is great!" You cheered, "twenty more minutes, and we'll win!"

Just then, Kaname and Iori appeared at the front door. The three of you quickly crouched down near some bushes. You watched them carefully as they scanned the lawn, but soon giving up and returning into the building.

"Wow, this could be easier than I thought." Natsume said, "It's really dark outside, and we blend in perfectly with the bushes in dark clothing."

"Let's just hope Fuuto and his keen eyesight won't be showing up." 

Oh ho, how you jinxed it.

The second Fuuto peered out of the floor-length glass windows from the living room, he singled you out. Immediately, he pushed open the door and began advancing towards you. 

"Shoot!" Natsume cursed while standing up and aiming his nerf gun. Fuuto was too far away to fire at, and he stopped in his tracks when he sees that he's up against three people and six nerf guns.

As soon as a wicket smirk bloomed on his attractive face, you knew something bad was about to happen. 

"They're over here!" He yelled. Having a pop star's voice really helped him in this announcement. As large as the Asahina household is, there's no way people couldn't have heard him in the silent night.

Nothing in the rules said that zombies weren't allowed to communicate with each other, of course Fuuto would pick up on that small loophole.

Within two minutes, Iori and Kaname came from the left side of the house; Tsubaki and Yusuke came running from the right side; Wataru and Subaru came speeding down from the second floor. 

All of a sudden, it became 3 against 7. 

You 'tsked' in dissatisfaction and prepared your guns. You weren't going down so easily.

"Let's go all out, boys!" You called out. That was when all of them charged towards you.

All of you used up all your bullets, including your backup ones, but it was worth it when you see all of the zombies with no choice but to stand in place in front of you. Fuuto got dangerously close before your bullet grazed him on the shoulder only about five feet in front of you.

"Quick, collect the bullets." Natsume says.

As soon as you reloaded your guns and the three of you began running to relocate somewhere, most zombies were already able to move. A couple seconds later, all of them began running towards you at full speed again.

"Ahhh! I can't do this twice!" You complained and ran the fastest you've ever your entire life.

"We have to split up so they will, too." Azusa says in between breaths.

"Agreed." Natsume says. 

You ran into the household, while Azusa went left, and Natsume went right.

In the midst of your aimless running, you quickly checked your phone. The countdown only had 12 minutes left, you could totally hide that time out. You contemplated your options. It's a large household, but only so many places to hide considering all doors are required to be open.

You glanced behind your shoulder. Fuuto, Yusuke, and Wataru were heading your direction.

Maybe you could head back to your kitchen hiding spot? As you ran past the left wing of the mansion you spot Azusa, Subaru, and Tsubaki outside the window. You sighed.

Zombies - Kaname, Fuuto, Tsubaki, Iori, Yusuke, Wataru, Subaru, Azusa

Humans - You, Natsume

I'll avenge you, Azusa! You thought to yourself. Tsubaki stayed back to wait until Azusa is turned while Subaru made his way into the mansion. 

Great. The entrance is right next to the kitchen.

Now, you had no choice but to head upstairs in hopes that you could stall for longer. You could clearly hear their footsteps getting closer, now. If not for the walls and furniture, they'd have spotted you by now.

You spun upstairs and ran past the right wing of the mansion. Entering someone's room, you glance out their window. Natsume was desperately trying to hold off Kaname and Iori. He was having a hard time aiming. You hoped he'd be alright.

You quickly shuffled to the end of the hallway into someone's room and got in the closet. There were lots of boxes at the bottom of the closet. Mentally apologizing in your mind, you emptied two boxes at the far end of the closet's contents into others. 

You put one box upside down and in front of your feet to block your legs, then put the other one over your head and bent your spine as much as you could to hide your body. You then slid one of the filled boxes to your side in case they decide to open both sides of the sliding door. You kept the nerf guns stacked on top of each other under your legs.

You risked checking your phone, calming yourself when there are only seven minutes left. You quickly put your phone back into your pocket and got into position when you heard frantic footsteps up the stairs.

Very soon, someone entered the room you were hiding in. The closet door was opened first and he shuffled the clothes in it to make sure. You tried your best not to shiver. The person groaned in frustration that he couldn't find you. You recognized him as Fuuto. Poor guy, you've camouflaged past him twice now.

When the footsteps stomped out and off to the next room, you shuffled out. Once they see that all the rooms are empty, they'd definitely search thoroughly again. Your best bet was to sneak back downstairs.

When you got to the double staircases, Wataru was guarding them, but he stood at the far side. You believed you could still outrun him.

"There she is!" He yelled as soon as you darted out and down the other set of stairs.

You were able to make it to the courtyard when you see Natsume there, as well. He was still human, much to your relief, but he only had one nerf gun left.

"(Y/N)! Good, you're still alive." Natsume gestured you to come over, "They'll all be here any second now. Any idea where Azusa is?"

"Probably with the other zombies." You muttered your answer, making Natsume sigh.

You saw Yusuke first, then Fuuto following and Wataru struggling to keep up. Tsubaki and Azusa also appeared from another entrance. 

There were only five minutes left, and you were once again surrounded. 

"Go to the backyard, I'll hold them off as long as I could. There's more space there, your chances of survival are higher." Natsume whispers to you, then smiles a little, "Just don't forget to save me a slice of cake, alright?"

You would've laughed at his humor if you weren't in this situation.

"I can't just--"

"Save it." Natsume deadpanned, "Do you want that cake or not?"

You pouted, then turned around and ran off. You heard several shots being made from the nerf gun before you ran inside to go back outside.

However, when you got to the backyard, Subaru was already waiting for you from around the corner. You cursed out loud and barely dodged his hand, which was about to tag your shoulder.

Since that threw him slightly off balance, you quickly fired a few shots and eventually, one of them hit him. 

You spun around and ran to the ends of the back yard. Kaname and Iori appeared from the right wing. Fuuto ran out from the door, as well, meaning he must've gotten past Natsume.

 Zombies - Kaname, Fuuto, Tsubaki, Iori, Yusuke, Wataru, Subaru, Azusa, Natsume

Humans - You

Holy crap how the tables have turned since the beginning of the game.

Okay, okay, calm down. Maybe if you juke them and swing around to the side of the mansion again, you'd be able to get to the front gate. By that moment, time would definitely be up.

You did exactly that, except Yusuke and Subaru were already waiting for you from the left wing. You couldn't promise your bad aim with toy guns could hide those two athletes, so you backed yourself up further away from the house. 

Fuuto was getting close and fast. You were out of bullets from immobilizing Subaru. You were in too much of a hurry to pick up your bullets from there. No matter where you moved, he'd get you before you can run anywhere. It's over. You couldn't get away.

"I got you now, Nee-san!"

As his hand reached out to grab your shoulder, you squeezed your eyes shut and crouched down, earning yourself and extra second when his hand ended up tagging the fence. 

In that split second, loud alarms rang through the house.

Your stunned mind couldn't comprehend what was going on until you realized: Time's up!

"WOOOOO!!!" You sprung up and screamed at the top of your lungs. You managed to stay untagged for three whole hours of this game. Everyone else around clapped and laughed in congratulations to you while Fuuto had a dissatisfied look on his face.

You did your victory dance while you had the entire chocolate cake to yourself. 

And of course, you saved a slice for Natsume.

This was a LOT longer than I expected. And btw, the camouflaging methods mentioned in this game were realistic. I did the closet one before XD not with boxes tho

so my cousin and i were playing hide and seek, I was like, 9 years old. I hid in the closet of the master bedroom on top of a stack of blankets and some clothes on top of me. I knew he'd find me like that, so I picked up one of the blankets and held it up in front and over my head to make it look like I was another folded up blanket 😂

NO ONE, NOT EVEN THE ADULTS, COULD FIND ME. 

They opened the closet several times but didn't bother to do more than just glancing. In the end, I walked out and laughed in their faces.
