Chapter 12: Glass half
empty or full?

"So Alukusundari, what is your life about" Vidhi asked

"My Father, I mean I and Subramaniam... She stopped

"Speak up, I promise I will understand and will help if that's possible. Plus we won't tell anyone, we are family Alu" Vidhi said

Prabhas didn't heard anything she said, he was checking a foreigner out. He had many hotshot like her but still he wants her. Varun was worried about should he tell his problem or not, he didn't knew why but whenever he sees Vidhi he could feel a bond, a brother sister bond. Bhavani recognized Varun, she was feeling different, she felt different whenever around him because he would treat her as if it pains to talk to her.

Sumedh loved how motivating and encouraging she was, like his mom. What? He thought himself, she might be like his mom in many ways but he loved Bhavani and she was the girl of his dreams.

"We eloped, my Father is MLA. We came far from our hometown , Mangalore" she said

"Okay... that's nice why do you worry?" Vidhi asked

"We wanted to marry but without his and mine elder's blessing how can we" she stopped eating

"Don't worry, love is beautiful so enjoy it till you have it. You know I have a bestie Mansi, she loves a guy she saw in her dreams. You know, she actually loves him. I understand love from internet or calls or letters but her love is... different. And she found him, though it's still hard to believe but sometimes living in dreams is better than reality.

Everyone at the table laughed, Alu and Subbu looked at each other in awe. Vidhi saw them, and felt a tinge of pain, she loved how they... were together.

She always had that tinge of sadness seeing happy couples, she never had a boyfriend. She knew it was odd but she didn't wanted to loose her first love with some random guy. She was waiting for someone special but then she think about the sad couples, those couples who either were together but not happy and those who never got to spend their lives together.

She kept reasoning with her mind about love but each time she ended up being afraid again. For her it was hard to even imagine taking all the risk, she wanted to think positive too but her mind never let her do that. Coming here was her best decision, when she talks with all these unknown yet familiar people all she wants is to keep talking or stay with them.

She was a bit confused about Sumedh because till now she hurt him so many times, talking carelessly about his mom, how she had always teased him with you touchy topic even though she didn't knew that they were touchy topic for him. She was very guilty and maybe... just maybe because of that there's a soft corner in her heart for heroine, that's what she calls him ;)

She left the table and stood near the balcony, called Mansi.

"Yepp, he's hot but... way too hot. I look like a duck with him" Vidhi said

"Hey, he will be a duck not you. You're way pretty V"

"Yeah yeah..oh my goodness how can I not tell you. You know my dream came true too. I mean, I dashed a guy n we fought the same way, I mean each n every sentence was same. I can't believe, he's soo cute. And lots of things happened well."

"What? Really, that's awesome. Cute shute haa" Mansi teased

"Oye he's taken haha"

"Sad or laughing actually?" Mansi asked

"Oye why would I be sad? I don't care okay. I'm going on plan P for Prabhas"

"Cute guy is Prabhas huh"

"No he's the hot guy.. cute guy is Sumedh" vidhi smiling unknowingly

"Hmm.. wait Dhruv is here, take"

"Hi V, how's Devikot and I wanted to tell you something. Wait I'll go somewhere isolated"

With that Dhruv left, Mansi couldn't believe that they were sharing a secret. How could Dhruv not tell her about secrets? she felt jealous. Since childhood she was the one he used to share secrets with, she felt bad about the secret. She thought maybe he was proposing Vidhi, she felt bad very angry.

Mansi used to take tuitions of 6 to 10 class children. She loved babies, she was just completed with 9 class's students when Dhruv arrived with a smile, Mansi felt her heart flutter at the smile, she felt envious of Vidhi that she could make him smile like that why not she?

Then she stopped herself, she had always loved the Nigam guy and Dhruv was always against this dream thing. She had spent her childhood, spending her adulthood with him she is habitual to him. She would feel different if he isn't there.

Then 6th class students came back suddenly, she asked the reason. They showed their notebooks, they completed their homework before time. And asked for prize.

"What do you want?" Mansi asked

Raj, the shortest said "kiss"

"Ae!" She raised her eyebrows

"On cheeks di, of COURSE" they all said in unison

Dhruv was smiling looking at her so shocked. He told Vidhi about all his feelings for Mansi, he was so into her that mere name of her can do magic to him. Then Raj asked for kiss, he glared at him, except Vidhi only Raj knew that he loved Mansi.

Mansi kissed everyone's cheek, then it was Raj's turn. He coughed aloud. Mansi gave him kiss on both the cheeks, when Mansi wasn't looking he teased Dhruv from Back.

Dhruv motioned him to stay away from his girl in actions. Then suddenly Mansi turned, Dhruv kept hand above his head. Everyone started laughing. Dhruv didn't understand what was happening, Mansi was blushing.

"Bhaiya (brother) Mansi di asked who else want another kiss, and when she turned you raised your hand. You want kisss?" One of the child asked

Dhruv was blushing, even more red he got. Then he thought how would it feel when she will kiss. He suddenly forwarded his left cheek, just to test if she kisses or not and ... She did and went inside the room.

"Ohhhhoooo (wolf whistles)" all of them said

"Hey go away" he blushed

"You know to blush too, sooo adoraaable na" Raj said
