Ch: 20 Be careful with Takahashis
The group continued to eat and celebrate the joyful dinner, drinks and music. With some the kids dancing to music.
As everyone is enjoying the holiday, we see Tomoe and Miho chatting with each other as Kaede serves the two most dangerous women tea.
Miho: You know, Takahashi-san. I haven't celebrate Christmas since 1946. When I was still on Earth.
Tomoe:*sips her tea* I see, it must have either weird or a off not celebrating on Remnant for....
Miho: Over sixty years.
Tomoe: Yes that. But how do you like the celebration here? Not only at a Takahashi Clan Branch estate, but on American soil?
Miho nods thoughtfully, taking in Tomoe's perspective on the celebrations.
Miho: Indeed, the diversity and amalgamation of traditions here bring forth a richness to the holiday spirit. It's a fascinating experience, witnessing the myriad ways people celebrate and finding common threads that bind us all together during this time.
Tomoe: Exactly. The essence of unity, despite the diversity, is what makes celebrations like these truly special.
Their conversation continues, delving into the nuances of traditions, the significance of unity in celebrations, and the shared joy that transcends cultural boundaries during festive seasons. The Takahashi Clan estate becomes a canvas for the blending of past memories and present experiences, a testament to the enduring spirit of the holiday season.
As the two continue talking, in the corner of Tomoe's eye she spots Akari happily chatting with Ragnar. Miho notices this interaction.
Miho: I take it that she's falling for the young sailor?
Tomoe: Akari-chan lost her previous lover during the war. Like all Takahashis in the clan we need to be strong, fast, brave, and calm so when we find a new love. Then we'll find closure in our soul and learn to forget, but remember to mourn our first love.
Miho: Hmm. I remember your grandmother saying the same thing.
Tomoe: Thank you, Nishizumi-sama.
Their conversation highlights the Takahashi Clan's approach to love, loss, and finding closure, underscoring the importance of strength and resilience in navigating such profound emotions.
Tomoe's gaze briefly shifts towards Galen and Kaede, the latter is serving is making sure everyone gets tea while the former is helping her and trying small talk with her. Keyword: TRYING.
Miho notices this interaction too and inquires about Kaede's feelings.
Tomoe: Kaede-san. She's single and she's 24 years of age. She's one the few Takahashis that are not like most of us.
Miho: Insane, psycho and willing to bite your head off?
Tomoe: Yes. And she has zero blood on her hands at all. She also went to collage and after she graduated last year. She became my caretaker.
Miho: But is she good at combat despite her clean record?
Tomoe: I trained her myself. She is on the same combat level as Ryan Cooper II. And has a IQ of 190.
Miho:*mouths* Holy scheiße...
Tomoe: However, she not good with men.
Miho: How so?
Tomoe: She's excellent at hiding her shyness when it comes to boys she likes.
As they observe Kaede's reaction to Galen's conversation, her stoic facade betrays a hint of bashfulness, revealing her hidden feelings toward him.
Tomoe and Miho continue their conversation, their attention occasionally drifting back to Kaede's interactions with Galen.
Miho: It's interesting seeing someone like her within the clan. How does she manage being so proficient in combat yet somewhat reserved around men?
Tomoe: Kaede embodies the dichotomy within our clan. She's been trained to be exceptionally skilled in combat, almost unmatched in her abilities, yet she carries this softness, this shyness that she conceals beneath her stoic exterior. It's a delicate balance, and sometimes, her dedication to her responsibilities overshadows her personal desires.
Miho nods, understanding the complexities that come with such contrasting characteristics in an individual.
Miho: It must be quite a challenge for her to navigate her emotions and the expectations placed upon her.
Tomoe: Indeed. The Takahashi Clan has certain standards, but each member grapples with their own struggles and desires. Kaede is no exception. She carries the weight of tradition and duty, and yet, she longs for something more personal.
Miho: I can see that yearning for normalcy in her.
Tomoe: Yes, she deserves to find happiness beyond the constraints of duty. I hope she discovers that someday.
Miho nods in agreement, acknowledging the complexity of Kaede's situation within the Takahashi Clan and silently rooting for her to find her own path to contentment.
Tomoe rises from her seat, commanding attention from the guests who are engrossed in their conversations and holiday cheer. She clinks a spoon against her glass, creating a gentle chime that gradually captures everyone's focus.
Tomoe: Excuse me, everyone. If I may have your attention, please.
The room gradually quiets down, and all eyes turn to Tomoe, awaiting her next words.
Tomoe: As our evening continues with warmth and merriment, it's time for a delightful tradition that marks this joyous season—the gift exchange.
A wave of excitement ripples through the room, and smiles form on the faces of the guests, anticipation evident in their eyes.
Tomoe: Each of you has graciously contributed to our gathering with your presence, but as tradition dictates, a small exchange of gifts shall further commemorate our unity and goodwill.
She motions towards a beautifully decorated table adorned with an array of festively wrapped presents.
Tomoe: I kindly ask you to take a moment to retrieve a numbered gift from the table. The number on your gift corresponds to the same number in your seating arrangement. Please, let this exchange be a symbol of our appreciation and shared joy.
The guests eagerly rise from their seats, excitement palpable in the air as they approach the table adorned with gifts. Laughter and whispers fill the room as they select their respective presents, each one bearing a number that matches their designated seating.
Tomoe watches with a content smile as the guests return to their seats, holding their chosen gifts with anticipation sparkling in their eyes. The atmosphere brims with the spirit of camaraderie and festive cheer, ready for the delightful exchange to begin.
Anthony then comes up to a gift that says, "To: A. Towson. From: M. Macnamara". He opens the gift to see a Scottish kilt.
Anthony:........Wut?
Mihaly pats him on the shoulder.
Mihaly: Tom told me you have some Scottish family in ya. So I got a wee good kilt for ya. What do ya think?
Anthony just looks at the kilt, shrugs his shoulders, and checks if it can fit.
Anthony: Now I really wish I bought those bagpipes on Amazon.
Mihaly, grinning at Anthony's response, chimes in with a playful tone.
Mihaly: Ah, but dinnae worry lad! Yer family history will be honored once ya wear it with pride. And as fer those bagpipes, who knows? Maybe next year's gift exchange might bring ye a fine set!
Anthony, despite his initial surprise, couldn't help but laugh at Mihaly's words, finding the humor in the situation.
Anthony: Aye, maybe I'll be making some noise then, won't I?
The two exchange light banter, amidst the holiday cheer, with Anthony playfully examining the kilt and Mihaly joking about potential future gifts. The festive spirit of the occasion persists, adding a humorous touch to the gift exchange.
As Anthony continued looking at the gifts and everyone enjoying their time. He saw four twin quadruplets toddlers staring at him in amazement.
He looks at the them and smiles as he walks up to them crouches to their level.
Anthony: Hi there. I'm Anthony. What's your names?
Toddler 1: Sora...
Toddler 2: Junko.
Toddler 3: Tsuki!
Toddler 4: Tony!
Anthony blinks twice at the last one.
Anthony: Tony with a 'I'?
Tony: With a 'Y'.
Anthony:....Ok. Say, would like to celebrate with us?
Sora, Junko, Tsuki, and Tony with wide smiles showing their baby sharp teeth. Making it known that they're a Takahashi.
Sora, Junko, Tsuki, and Tony: Yay!
Anthony's warm invitation to the toddlers from the Takahashi Clan brought smiles and excitement to their faces. Their eagerness to join the celebration was evident, and Anthony couldn't help but feel a sense of joy seeing their enthusiasm.
Anthony gently stands up, extending his hand to guide the toddlers toward the festivities. The four energetic toddlers follow closely, their laughter echoing through the room as they join in the holiday cheer.
As they immerse themselves in the celebrations, Anthony ensures they feel included, introducing them to other guests and showing them around. Their presence adds an extra layer of joy and innocence to the gathering, enhancing the festive atmosphere.
Throughout the celebration, Anthony, along with the toddlers, engages in lighthearted activities, dancing to the music, and participating in the shared moments of merriment, creating cherished memories for everyone involved.
As the four toddlers enjoy their time, they spotted Mina holding a small gift and the four said something that probably made Anthony have a mid headache and the feeling of screaming like a madman.
Sora, Junko, Tsuki, and Tony: Mama!

Anthony: What?
Glynda, Coco, and Harriet: What?
Everyone Else: What?
Dustin and Miho:*to Anthony* Why are you so fertile?
Anthony:*brain shut off* I don't know.
Summer: What and how?
Mina: S(Sperm) Bank.
Everyone Else:*understanding* Oh okay.
Anthony does remember donating three samples to a sperm bank five years prior. So Mina bought two of the samples. The first sample resulted in Teka, Taka, Moche, Ino, Tenko, Saya, Mary, and Korea Takahashi-Towson being born fives prior. And the second sample resulted in Sora, Junko, Tsuki, and Tony being born two years prior.
Anthony, slightly dazed by the realization, chuckled softly, acknowledging the situation with a shrug. The toddlers, oblivious to the humorous chaos their innocent words had caused, continued enjoying the celebration, their laughter filling the room.
The revelation didn't overshadow the joyful atmosphere of the gathering. Instead, it added an element of surprise and laughter, becoming another cherished memory for the Takahashi family and their extended guests to share.
Lincoln: I guess you have four more daughters to take care of huh, Ant.
Mina: Three daughters.
Everyone:*confused* Huh?
Mina: Three daughters. Tony.
Mina holds up Tony who has long black hair.
Mina: He's a boy.
It was so silent that the only sound could be heard was the wind outside. While most of everyone jaw-dropped in complete shock.
Miho, Qrow, Mihaly, Lincoln, Willow, Anthony, Chris, Dustin, Pavel, Mako, and even Tomoe looked at their tea if there was any liquor in it.
Nope.
Alcohol free. Drugged?
Nope.
No drugs.
So they were completely sober.
They waited a bit to see if Mina was going to say, "Haha! I'm just kidding!" but she didn't. She was serious.
Tomoe dropped down to and cried tears of joy because the last time a boy in the Takahashi Clan was born was 1838.
Tomoe:*sobbing joyfully* 神が私たちを祝福してくださいました!!! {GOD HAS BLESSED US!!!}
Most of the adults then pulled out a flask pours its contents into their tea. They were too sober for this. They needed something stronger than mere tea to process the unexpected turn of events.
The revelation continued to resonate through the room, creating a surreal atmosphere amidst the festive celebration. It was a moment that would be talked about for a long time, an unexpected twist adding to the unforgettable memories of the evening.
Melanie: Whatever's next won't surprise us.
As if the universe heard her, Mina gives Anthony the small gift she was holding. He opens it and sees the third sample.....
....and a pregnancy test.....
....it was positive...
He stares at Mina as she holds her stomach with a closed eye smile.
Anthony:..................................*voice cracked* How long?
Mina: Six months now.
Anthony:........
The shock rippled through the room as Anthony processed the unexpected news. His silence spoke volumes, conveying a blend of emotions ranging from surprise to disbelief and a hint of overwhelming joy. As Mina confirmed the pregnancy, Anthony was left in a stunned state, trying to comprehend the sudden revelation.
The atmosphere shifted once again, with Miho, Mihaly, Artyom, Jonathan, Inspir, Lincoln, Dustin, and the others looking back and forth between Anthony, the positive pregnancy test, and Mina, their faces displaying a mix of surprise, amusement, and congratulatory sentiments.
Miho, with a wry grin, broke the silence, offering a hearty congratulations to Anthony in his newfound role. Mihaly and the others echoed the sentiment, acknowledging the unexpected but joyous turn of events.
Anthony, still caught in a whirlwind of emotions, took a moment to gather his thoughts before finally managing to find his voice.
Anthony: Thank you... I think?
The room erupted into a mixture of laughter, congratulatory messages, and an undercurrent of disbelief at the succession of surprising revelations. The celebration took an unexpected turn, creating a night filled with astonishing, memorable, and life-altering moments for everyone involved.
Timeskip
We open up to two weeks later with US President Lincoln Clinton in the Oval Office doing some paperwork.
The day was Saturday, January 8th, 2039. New year, new problems. And by problems, we see Lincoln trying to fix the fuck ups Lieutenant General Austin Reeves had done.
Aprenantly, having US general revivaled to be a traitor was bad if not worse PR mess. And any political leader knows that.
And let's not forget Atlas building up it's Air Fleets, but due to the bombing runs it's not much of a problem. But the media made appear to be a major problem.
And let's not forget the news Artyom shared about what he found out from both a US Submarine and Miho. A almost exact copy of the Bismarck. All we could say was Artyom and a good part of the Navy was a bit(most) pissed off hearing a battleship that was sunk by the Royal navy back in WW2. Now they found a copy of it hidden in a secret cave in the Steppes northern coast of Solitas, just south of the big peninsula at the west of the continent.
Most of the Navy and probably the Air Force. Wanted it destroyed, but Miho convinced Artyom and Inspir to hold off on such a task and just let her have the boat finish built. Artyom reluctantly aloud it, but under supervision from the USS-Texas, the USS-Anthony R. Towson, and the USS-Iwo Jima Amphibious assault ship.
And the Bismarck Copy is pretty much using damaged parts to help build, and the sailors are doing their best to repair it, but it will take time before it will be ready for use.
So yeah. Not much of a great time to start the year off.
As he was about to grab another report. The phone rings.
Lincoln: This better be something not relate to the bullshit I've been dealing with.*answers the phone* This the President.
As he listens to the other line.
He slowly goes wide eye in shock and rushes to his laptop and pulls up the NASA Satellite feed.
To see the Continent of Europe.
Lincoln:......Fuck. This will be a lot of paperwork.*to the caller* Can you get me line to USMC General Dustin Walker, General of the US Army Jonathan Grant, Fleet Admiral Artyom Eksinud, Lieutenant General Mihaly Macnamara, and General of the US Air Force Carolina Inspir. And tell my wife I'm going to be late for dinner again.
