Chapter 17
Naruto tore his way to the toilet, throwing the half ajar door wide open and flung himself onto the toilet bowl, vomiting into the bowl, the red colour bright against the porcelain bowl. Naruto was getting weaker and weaker as the days went by. He could rarely move around for too long. He dropped out of the school but made the headmaster agreed that she would say that he took the days off with parental approved absence. He sent both Sasuke and Itachi a text telling them not to worry about him and that he will be fine. Naruto flushed the toilet and cleaned off all the blood from his mouth. He leaned against the door frame, tired and dizzy. He stumbled towards his room. Everything was spinning and he managed to catch himself before he face planted into the wall. He staggered into the room, gathering the handwritten letters for each of his friends. There wasn't a lot, just 12 for his friends and 1 for his boyfriend. It's not much, just a one page long letter for each them. No big deal. He shook off the dizziness as he made his way to deliver those letters to all their houses. He doubted any of them cares. But oh well, for the sake of it. He knows Itachi and Sasuke might probably care. But they wouldn't know about anything.
"What's this?" Sasuke asked when their mother held out two letters to him and Itachi. The two took it and examined the outside. There was no return address, the only thing scribbled on it was their handwritten name on the envelopes. Mikoto and Fugaku waited around expectantly, wanting to know what it was about. The two eased the envelopes open and pulled out a letter, something shiny fell out of Itachi's envelope and landed on the ground near his feet. Itachi bent down to pick it up. He frowned at the object in hand. It was his necklace that's for sure but he gave it to Naruto...
Itachi unfolded the paper shakily and quickly, trying not to tear the paper with his impatience. His eyes moved side to side as they read the content. Itachi almost fell to his knees in shock. "What's wrong Itachi?" Mikoto asked worriedly.
"He just broke up with me... Over the letter." Itachi whispered as he heard a thud next to him. Sasuke faltered slightly, his eyes wide - staring at the paper.
"He... He just wrote a letter to me listing all the fun times and things he appreciated. It's almost as if something has happened to him and he isn't telling us." Sasuke said softly. Sasuke pulled out his phone that is ringing and answered it impatiently, his scowl turning into a worried frown as he started nibbling on his lips.
"What is it?" Mikoto pestered.
"A few other friends said they received letters from Naruto too. They were asking if I knew what was going on... Why didn't he tell me anything?! Why?! Does he not trust me?" Sasuke snarled to himself, angry at himself for not pointing out Naruto's weird behaviors and getting help for Naruto - not that he knew what kind of help Naruto needed. "It's not your fault Sasuke. He didn't tell itachi either, and Itachi is his boyfriend." Mikoto said gently.
"Was. Itachi was his boyfriend." Fugaku said, reminding them that Naruto had broken up with him over the letter. Mikoto glared at him before turning her sharp gaze towards Itachi. "You wouldn't just let him go like that right? Even if things don't work out after a talk, at least you guys managed to get some closure." Mikoto said, wanting Itachi to find Naruto so they can talk out the problems. Mikoto looked at him with pleading eyes, hoping he would carry out her wishes. "Yes, I wouldn't. Naruto would not walk out of a relationship without a reason. He must have had a valid reason."
"I'm home Naruto!" Tsunade announced, just coming back from her late night shift. She was somewhat sure that Naruto was still awake, she knows he is getting more tired easily as the time went by but there was a chance he was awake. There was no reply. He must have fallen asleep, maybe I should check on him now. Tsunade mused to herself as she proceeded upstairs, for some reason her body decided that she shouldn't take off her shoes. It was like a gut feeling she is having that something was wrong and she needed to leave as quickly as possible. She wouldn't feel better unless she checked on her blond angel. Her eyes widened in horror and her mouth dropped open when she reached Naruto's room. The blond was sprawled on the ground, unconscious. He seemed to have fainted as some things were knocked over and scattered everywhere. He must have tried grabbing onto something when he started falling but it didn't break his fall. Tsunade's medical instincts kicked in, she rushed to the blond and checked his vitals. His heart was still beating but barely. She could hardly hear his breathing either.
This is bad. This is bad. This is bad.
