Chapter 3
"No! I'm not talking to him!" I scream over at Kat who apparently had Brendon on the phone. I was still pissed off from what he did yesterday. I know it's not that big of a deal to most people, but it was to me.
"Hannah, come on." She looked annoyed. Her arm extended out towards me with the phone in her hand. "Just talk to him. He deserves to hear from you."
"Or does he?" I send a glare in her direction, but she was persistent in trying to hand me the phone.
After about another minute, I finally gave in and took the device out of her hand. Hesitantly, I placed it to my ear to hear his uneasy breathing on the other line.
"Hello.." It was the first thing that came to mind. As pissed off as I was, I couldn't exactly come up with anything witty to say to him.
"Hannah..I am terribly sorry." A sigh of pure annoyance escapes my lungs. We've been over this Urie, I'm not forgiving you. Just forget it. "Let me make it up to you. Or at least attempt to. Before you refuse my offer, I'm just going to throw out there that I've made a special request and I'm hoping you'll come home to join me."
A special request? What exactly was he trying to pull here?
But before I got the chance to rebuttal his statement, I heard the clicking sound that indicated he hung up. The phone was still up against my ear as I tried to figure out what he meant. But it could be fucking anything. He wants you home. Go back to him! But I don't want to see him right now. Stop being so difficult!
"Hannah." Kat snapped her fingers in front of my face. Pushing her manicured hand out of my face, I give her phone back. "Just go back home. He's dying to see you." Her eyes softened as the words escaped her mouth.
"What part of 'I don't want to see him', do you not understand, Kat?!" I felt my voice raise slightly.
She sighed and brought both her middle and index finger to the temple of her forehead. She was just as frustrated with me as I was with her. But why was she siding with him? Why was she pushing me away? Was I overreacting? I mean, I kinda did explode on him yesterday. But I had every right to.

"Hey baby, you've been up here for quite awhile. Why not come downstairs for a little bit and relax? " I stood at the door to the music room, to see Brendon sitting at his desk set up in the back. As I stepped closer to him, I noticed his head was hung in his hands as he was looking over the clutter lyrics and tour ideas strewn about the surface.
"I need to do this." He mumbled and continued to quietly talk to himself. He always did this as a finalization. He always went over everything and sometimes even tweaked some songs that he hadn't released yet.
"Come on, please." I placed my hands on his shoulders and rubbed them slightly. "At least spend some time with me today.."
But he shrugged my hands off him and groaned. "Hannah. I need to do this and send it to Spencer before the end of the day. Leave me be." I couldn't believe him. Is he really forgetting what today was? Or did he care more about setting up the tour?
"Really, Brendon?" I stood there and crossed my arms. "I can't fucking believe you." He looked up at me confused. "You got up before I did and you've been hiding up here all day! No matter what I do, you won't pay any attention to me!"
"Babe! I give you attention all the time!" He quickly gets to his feet, now looking down at me. "Today isn't any different. I just need to get the tour information to Spencer by tonight."
"Today isn't any different? Are you shitting me right now?" My eyebrows shifted down into a glare. I couldn't believe this. "You do realize what today is, correct?"
"Uhm. Friday?" He goes quite. He really forgot. I don't know what to do with myself at the moment.
"Wow Brendon. You don't even remember your own godamn anniversary." His eyes widen and he grabs his phone off of the desk. After he turns it on to look at the screen, I heard him mumble to himself.
"Shit. Hannah I am so sorry." He places the device back onto the top of the desk and tries to take a step towards me. But I took a step back. "Hannah, please!" I was done. I needed some air. So before I even realized what I was doing, my feet were making their way down the hard wood stairs as I tried my hardest not to fall..

"Hannah, you're going back to him." My body twitched at the sudden sound of Kat's voice. As much as she was annoyed with the both of us, she was one hell of a persistent person. "Just talk to him. See how it goes. Maybe mention something about that." She pointed her index finger to my stomach. I couldn't help bit to feel a little self conscious about what she was referring to. "Better sooner than later, Hannybear." A genuine smile formed on her lips.
"Y-Yeah. Fine." As much as I wanted to continue arguing with her, I didn't. There was no point.
Brendon had something planned for the both of us later. He was actually sorry, and I was being an idiot. I was overreacting. Why was I being so stupid about this? Maybe just the thought of the past year messed with my head?
After Kat and I said our goodbye's, I found myself just kinda sitting in my quite car. The butterflies started invading my insides as I got closer to facing him.
About five minutes passed by before I decided to pull out of her driveway. The entire ride home was a bit nerve wracking. Why? I couldn't exactly wrap my mind around as to why. But I was happy Kat convinced me to go home. But last night was greatly needed.
"Brendon," Walking through our front door, I place my keys down on a small wooden table we have set there. "I'm back."
"Hey, baby!" He runs in from the kitchen, and I swear he had a smile that went from ear to ear. It warmed my heart. His arms wrapped around my torso and he picked me up from the floor. "I missed you." His lips came into contact with mine as soon and my feet touched the ground again. I missed this. Though it had only been one night, it felt like it had been forever.
"I missed you too." I pulled away from his kiss. "I'm sorry about yesterday, I overreacted."
He smiled slightly and shook his head. His eye fixated on mine.
"I don't blame you honestly." He took my hands in his and brought them up to his lips. "I was the one that fucked up. And I was hoping that it wasn't too late to fix what I did yesterday?" Yes! Let him fix things! For once in a few days, I was wanting to agree with the voice in my head.
"Depends on what you have in mind." I smiled up at him.
"Only what you've been hinting at for months now." He let out a chuckle and tugged at my hand as he walked toward the kitchen. "I know how you said you wanted a simple fun kinda night. So, voila!" He threw his arms into the air and stepped to the side to reveal two wine glasses with a bottle of opened Chardonnay and a box of what looked like a pepperoni pizza.
"Its perfect Brendon." I was in awe at how much he actually listened to how I imagined this night. Like he said, I didn't want anything extravagant. I didn't want anything all fancy and crap. A pizza, some white wine, and a movie is what I had wanted.
"Good." He smiled and straightened his spine slightly like he was proud of himself. "I'd much rather this than over some fancy ass place. Now dig in! And I put in your favorite horror movie to watch whilst we stuff our faces with pizza and try to be classy about it with the wine."
"Sounds like a plan." I can wait to tell him the news right? I mean, a little wine wouldn't hurt...Maybe it would. But I wasn't exactly up for telling him just yet. A sip or two and I'll be fine. I hope. I've never actually had any experience with this type of thing...But there's a first time for everything I guess.
