Lilo part2 Louis

A/N: Part two to the Lilo Liam stomach bug was requested with Louis coming down with the stomach bug:) hope you like it!
--------------

Louis was right in suspecting that the day ahead of the two boys would be rough, but neither boy was expecting what they got. Liam spent most of the night puking in the connected bathroom while Louis stayed awake, rubbing his back and getting water and helping him out anyway he could. Liam puked up everything in his system and then sat through two hours of on and off dry heaving. By the morning he was completely empty, but only suffering from exhaustion and a sore stomach. His temperature was a little high and he wasn't going to risk eating for another day or two, but he'd recovered way faster than the boys expected him to.
Louis, on the other hand, woke up feeling less than well. His head was pounding when he first woke up and it didn't take long for the nausea to set in.
Liam took notice and when Louis didn't follow him from bed for a good 15 minutes, Liam came back in with a frown on his face.
"Baby, you're feeling sick aren't you. I got you sick,"
Louis looked at him and smiled a little.
"I'm not feeling very good, love. But I don't think it's your fault. We probably got it the same place," Louis guessed.
Liam crawled onto bed and mentally noted how completely pale Louis was already.
"Aw, I'm still sorry. I know how shit you're feeling. You didn't feel bad last night, did you?"
Louis shook his head.
"Felt fine then. Bit of a headache but we were in that horrible bathroom light for ages; thought I was jus' tired."
Liam curled beside Louis and pulled him in close. Louis nestled up against Liam without a complaint.
"I hope I'm not as miserable as you were," Louis groaned.
Liam chuckled sadly.
"Quick recovery time, though," Liam reminded.
Louis didn't seem very impressed.
"You threw up so much, babe."
Neither boy had forgotten how much pain Liam endured in the short 24 hours he was stricken with the illness.
"Feeling better though. Loads better, Lou. As good as I can possibly feel with a fever and 3 hours sleep."
Louis moaned and buried his head into Liam's chest.
"Doesn't sound very promising, does it? You're still not well and now I feel halfway dead,"
Liam pushed his hand through Louis's hair and made a disapproving sound.
"I'm well enough. And we both know how much energy you're gonna have today. We'll both have the time to catch up on our sleep. Just don't worry about me, alright? We'll be okay," Liam comforted. He really was feeling so much better, he had Louis to look after now.
Louis merely nodded his feverish head against Liam. He gripped Liam's shirt and pulled even closer, a soft sound of content leaving him. Liam smiled.
"You really are the cutest when you're ill, baby."
Louis pulled his face away and pouted.
"I'm older. I'm not the cute one. Jus' sleepy. There's a difference."
Liam laughed and didn't correct him. Louis couldn't see himself and his flushed cheeks and saggy hair and grabby hands. He was adorable.
"Okay, just sleepy," Liam said.
Louis nodded. "And cold, give me my sweatshirt back."
Liam looked down at the hoodie he was still wearing from yesterday. It was Louis's, but he'd sweat in it all night and it was in no shape to be worn for another day.
"I'll find you another, okay? This one's dirty,"
Louis let go but made a noise as Liam pulled away. Louis curled in on himself as he waited; his stomach wasn't doing very well.
"One of yours?" Louis mumbled tiredly. It took Liam a second to process Louis's late request before realizing the boy wanted one of Liam's hoodies.
"Sure, love," Liam smiled.
Liam met the request and helped Louis into the sweatshirt. It was large and hung over Louis's hands, but Louis didn't mind it.
Liam sat on the edge of the bed.
"Care to try some medicine? Might help to get it in early," Liam offered.
Louis blinked slowly and rubbed at his eyes before shaking his head.
"Feeling kinda pukey already..." Louis admitted. Liam frowned and felt Lou's forehead.
"Oh, you're burning already too. For some reason I didn't think it'd hit so quickly," Liam spoke.
Louis didn't answer, just closed his eyes and leaned back into Liam.
"You feel like throwing up right now? Or got a while?" Liam asked quietly.
"Got a little bit I think," Louis mumbled.
Liam nodded.
"Lets lay back down. Maybe you an fall back asleep,"
Louis followed Liam's lead and soon they were back in a similar position as before. Louis was out in minutes.
Liam woke up to the blankets being jerked away from him and a muffled gag.
Louis had twisted away from Liam and was holding a hand over his mouth, gagging multiple times in the process.
Squirming to Louis's side of the bed, Liam tried to get to the boy quickly enough, but Louis couldn't stop it. The sick boy gagged one more hard time before puking onto the floor from the bed. Louis choked and puked again before bringing his hand back over his mouth. Louis made eye contact with Liam with tears filling his eyes but Liam grabbed Louis's arms.
"Hey, hey. None of that, Lou. It's all okay, I'm not upset. You couldn't help it baby,"
But Louis couldn't hold back the tears much longer and soon salty water was landing on the tangled sheets.
"Shh, Louis its alright, hun. Just tell me if you're feeling better. Do you still need to throw up or did you get it out?"
Louis wasn't answering though, he was just sitting there trying to process what happened and making panicked noises.
Deciding against waiting it out, Liam picked up Louis and brought him to the toilet.
Liam didn't know if it was the movement or just good timing, but Louis retched the second he was set down and threw up large amounts of his stomach.
"Oh, honey. Get it up, just get everything up," Liam mumbled, rubbing Louis's back and keeping the hoodie out of the boys's way.
Louis held tightly to the side if the toilet and brought himself forward, continuing to heave violently.
When he was finished, Liam flushed the toilet as Louis sat still, obviously unsure of what to do.
"You alright? Finished?" Liam asked, messing with Louis's hair.
Louis didn't move, he wasn't sure if he would throw up again if he tried to relax.
"Aw, love. Just sit back. I'll be right here if you get sick again. It's okay."
Louis slowly did as he was told, unsure of how Liam knew exactly what he was thinking. His stomach flipped but he didn't even gag.
"I'll go clean up our bedroom. That okay? We'll be all set to go back to bed when you're ready. Or the couch, we can always relocate if that's better," Liam explained.
Louis nodded timidly.
Liam didn't really know what Louis was agreeing with but he got up regardless.
"Shout if you need me. I'll go quick as I can,"
Liam cleaned up the floor and changed the bed sheets. It looked a lot better but Liam suspected that any lingering smell would set Louis off rather quickly. The couch would probably be the couple's best bet.
When Liam got back into the bathroom, Louis was still facing forward to the toilet, but he was resting his head on the now closed toilet lid.
"Did you get sick again?"
Louis shook his head, finally looking at Liam. His eyes were tired and glassy and it really was crazy how bad he looked from just a few hours ago.
Liam smiled at him and walked closer.
"Feeling okay enough to move?"
Liam watched Louis's jaw tense a few times as Louis thought about his answer.
"I'm worried about getting sick again on the floor. Maybe I should just sit here for a while..." Louis mumbled. Liam could hear he was embarrassed.
"I'm not going to let you quarantine yourself here the whole day, love. If you're still feeling that bad then that's one thing, but don't fret about the floor, okay? We still have that sick bucket downstairs from yesterday, you can get comfy on the couch."
Liam knew that the most likely reason Louis offered to stay near the toilet was because he thought that's what Liam wanted. But Liam didn't care about the mess he'd cleaned up and he wouldn't care if it happened again. He just wanted Louis as comfortable as possible when he felt so bad.
"Are you sure? Babe, what if I can't control it, what if I get sick again? I really don't want to make you clean up anything else and I know I'd only make if worse if I tried to clean," Louis explained. He didn't sound completely there, Liam really just wanted to lay down with him all day.
"I'll clean it up and we'll fall back asleep and everything will be fine. I'm okay with it, Louis. I'm not stressing about this," Liam told him honestly.
Louis nodded and offered a small smile before shakily standing up and following Liam out of the bathroom. Liam watched the boy trudge behind and knew Louis was uncomfortable standing.
"Baby, you look miserable. Do you want me to carry you?"
Louis nodded instantly and blushed a little further.
Liam hoisted Louis into his arms and carried him through the bedroom and downstairs to the couch. He made a move to set Louis down, but the boy's grip only tightened.
Liam instead just turned around and sat with Louis still in his hold.
"Ah, Lou, elbows," Liam laughed as Louis repositioned in his lap. Louis didn't really listen, just shifted around until he was comfy and mumbled for Liam to grab the blanket. Liam pulled it from the top of the couch and laid it over the both of them and they both soaked up the warmth.
"Mmh, you're keeping me warm, Lou," Liam hummed.
Louis smiled against Liam's collarbone.
"These fevers will be the death of us," Louis laughed.
"You should be drinking water," Liam reminded.
"You didn't drink when I told you to," Louis responded lazily.
Liam rolled his eyes.
"I threw up instead,"
Louis shrugged and stated, "Well I just threw up and it was awful and I don't want to risk anything when I'm so comfy."
Liam laughed.
"Fair enough,"
So Louis didn't drink and Liam didn't force him. Instead, they sat on the couch and watched Gilmore Girls. Louis was fading off a few times but Liam didn't say anything, he just scooted the sick bucket from the night before a little closer when Louis wasn't watching.
"Liii, I feel really bad," Louis groaned an episode in. His stomach was twisting and he was getting worried about getting sick.
"Tummy?" Liam asked.
Louis nodded and made a sad sound.
"Think you're gonna throw up?"
Louis nodded but added, "not quite yet, feel it though,"
Louis didn't make a move toward the bucket for another good twenty minutes. Liam could hear the boy's tummy gurgling unpleasantly and felt awful watching Louis's face scrunch up in pain with each wave. Liam was just about to say something when Louis pulled himself from Liam's lap (blanket following) and curled up tightly.
"Lou..." Liam said somewhat questioningly. He didn't want to be over cautious and stress Louis out but he wanted to know what was happening.
"I'm not feeling too well, Li," Louis moaned.
Liam didn't hesitate now to pull up the bin. Louis was losing any color left in his face quickly and Liam could see that poor Lou was moments away from puking.
"Sorry, love. I'm right here, just breath nice and steady, you're alright."
Liam knew there was a relatively good chance that Louis was, in fact, not alright, but figured it was nice to be optimistic.
Louis just grabbed the bucket, leaned forward, and vomited. Liam was a bit taken aback at how quickly it'd happened and how much Louis was bringing up, but was fast to comfort.
Louis was shaking and spitting and trying to act like he was okay with how awfully he had just been sick, but he wasn't pulling it completely off.
"Oh, baby. Come'er," Liam sighed when he was convinced Louis was done for the time being. Louis just collapsed into Liam's arms and allowed his body to be pulled into his lap.
"That didn't feel good," Louis hiccuped, trying to keep his voice level.
"No hun, I bet it didn't," Liam agreed.
"I literally feel ready to fall asleep," Louis said softly.
Liam kissed his forehead and pulled the blanket back over their bodies.
"Sleep sounds wonderful."
Louis was hit harder than Liam was.  He was throwing up for three days straight and Liam was seriously considering taking Louis to the hospital by day 3. Louis was almost ready to go, honestly, but finally he was getting better. His headache got worse as his stomach got better, but he only endured the headache for a day and a half before it fading too, his fever breaking along with it. It was such a relief when both boys were healthy again.
