"Harry, I really need to talk to you," Liam said as he renters the kitchen where Harry cooked.

"What's up, babe?" Harry asked, not looking up from what he was making.

"I would feel a lot better if you would look at me," Liam said.

Harry put down his stirring spoon and looked at Liam. "Yes?"

"What are your thoughts on a baby?" Liam asked.

"Um..." Harry said, deep in thought. "I'd like to have baby. I think we're ready."

"Okay good because I have something to tell you."

"What's that?"

"I'm pregnant. Three weeks to be exact."

"Pregnant. You're... pregnant?" Harry asked.

"Yes."

"Baby.. that's amazing! I'm gonna be a daddy! We're both gonna be daddies!"

"Yes we are." Harry embraced Liam in a tight hug. "I love you, Hazza."

"I love you, Libear."

*~17 weeks later (20 weeks pregnant)~*

"Your baby is looking fantastic," the doctor said as she moved the wand around Liam's belly. "Did you want to know its gender today?"

Liam looked at Harry and nodded. Then he looked back at the screen. "Yes we do."

"Okay so it looks like you are having a..." She moved the wand around a little more.

"Actually, could you write it down then put it in an envelope or something then we'll look at it later?" Harry suggested.

"Harry-" Liam started.

"Babe, I promise it's more fun this way."

"Okay..."

"Okay I will go do that for you. I'll be back in a few minutes."

When she was gone, Liam turned to Harry. "What was that for?"

"I just think it'll be fun. I've heard it's better because then we can have as big of a celebration as we want."

"Okay fine..."

Then the doctor came in. "Here you go, boys. Enjoy your surprise."

"Thank you." As they drove home, Liam realised that Harry wasn't going the right way.

"Where are you going, Hazz?"

"You'll see..." Liam knew where they were as soon as Harry pulled into the parking lot.

"Why are we going here?"

"I'm going to give the baker this envelope. I'll have them make a cake that has the baby's gender in it and we'll have a big party for it."

"C'mon, Harry. I just wanna open the envelope and see. I'm tired of waiting."

"I'll be right back." Harry jumped out f the car without another word. Liam crossed his arms and shook his head.

"What am I going to do with your papa?" He said, looking at his stomach. "I guess I'll just have to live with him."

"I'm back." Harry turned the car back on and they left. "They said it'll be a couple days so that means we have time to invite some people over."

"A party?"

"It'll be fun. I promise."

*~days later~*

"Thanks for coming, everyone!" Harry said, getting everyone's attention. "We're going to do gender revealing if you'd like to join."

Everyone came over to the counter where Liam stood in front of the white cake. Liam clutched the knife and Harry put his hand on top of Liam's. "Ready?"

"Ready." They both began pushing the blade into the icing. As they got to the bottom of the cake, a colour began to show. As they pulled the blade out, they still couldn't make out the colour.

They shoved the blade into a another section, making it a full slice. As they pulled the slice out, the colour was out on full display.

Pink.

A girl.

Everyone cheered as Liam and Harry embraced each other. "We're having a girl."

"A baby girl," Harry said. "Our little baby girl."

*~a couple weeks later~*

"Harry, why did you make such a big payment on some shoes?" Liam asked as he looked at the laptop. "Seven hundred pounds, Harry."

"They're for work, babe," Harry said from the kitchen. "Plus I've seen you've been spending a lot too."

"Well yeah but that's because I've been getting stuff for the baby," Liam said. "It's all of the essentials."

"So I don't understand why we get all of this stuff for the baby and I can't treat myself to some shoes."

"Because we only have one income, Harry. And I know it costs a lot to have a baby, but you've spent three times as much as I have on one pair of shoes."

"Well I think I should be able to treat myself once in a while."

"I understand that Harry," Liam said as he got off the sofa and walked to the kitchen. "But we really need to watch what we spend."

"Okay I will from now on," Harry said.

"I need you to return the shoes."

"What? Hell no, Liam. I don't think it's fair that you get to buy lots of clothes and do I bother you for it? No I don't." Harry has now stopped working and was looking at Liam.

"I have to buy new clothes, Harry. And it's not for my pleasure. It's because I am growing a baby inside me and I will get much bigger than this," he said, pointing to his stomach. "Trust me, I wish I didn't have to get those clothes but I love our baby to death so I will do whatever it takes."

"Well guess what, it's not my fault that you're gonna get fat!" After Harry said that, he realised. "Wait, Liam that's not-"

"Really? Not your fault?! So you're disowning your baby. That's great, Harry. You just keep believing that because now that I think of it, I'm doing everything myself!"

"Liam, I didn't mean it like that," Harry said, trying not to explain.

"Okay so what do you mean?!" Liam demanded. Harry stayed silent. "That's what I thought."

He grabbed his phone, wallet, and keys off the counter. "Wait, where are you going?" Harry asked.

"I'm not sure. But you really need to get your shit together before I come back and you're ready to be a father."

Harry followed Liam to the car then put his feet in front of the tires so Liam wouldn't move the car. "Liam, please don't go."

"It's too late for that now, Harry." Liam looked out the window at Harry's feet. "Now move your feet. I know you wouldn't want those seven hundred pound boots getting scuffed."

Harry backed away and Liam drove away. As he drove, he could feel tears begin to blur his vision.

He drove until he though of a place to go. He pulled up on front of the small house and parked the car. He walked up to the door and rang the doorbell. There were footsteps on the other side before it opened wide.

"Hi, Louis."

"Liam, what are you doing here?" Louis asked.

"Harry and I got in a fight."

"Oh no!" Louis opened the door wider. "Come in."

Louis closed the door behind Liam. "What happened?" He pulled Liam over to the sofa.

"He spent seven hundred pounds on a pair of boots. Then he got mad at me for buying less than a hundred pounds of baby stuff ."

"That's stupid."

"I know. I worry about him. I worry about how he's going to treat our daughter. He's always at work and spending money on stupid shit."

"Well you're welcome to stay here as long as you'd like."

"Thanks, Lou. Oh and where's Niall?"

"He went to go get take out. Good thing he always gets extra food." He stood up from the sofa. "Here, I'll help you in the guest room."

"Thank you so much for letting me stay here," Liam said as they walked in. "This is great, Louis. I appreciate this so much."

"It's no problem, Liam. I'm happy to help and hopefully Harry can get his crap together soon."

"I hope so too."

"Hey do you want me to run to your house and get you some clothes? I would offer clothes but I'm so small (my smol son) I don't think they would fit you. Pregnant or not."

"You don't have to, Louis. You don't have to get involved in this."

"Liam, you're my best mate. I have to get involved. I'll go over and grab some stuff for you." Louis left the room without giving Liam time to argue. "I'll be back soon."

Liam watched as Louis left without another word.

When Louis arrived, he went up to the door and knocked on it. There were a few footsteps before these was a figure in the doorway. "Louis?"

"Harold," Louis said back.

"What are you doing here?" Louis walked in the door to see Harry in a better view. He was covered in something that he couldn't quite make out, his hair was flying everywhere, and his eyes were bloodshot.

"I just came to get some stuff for Liam."

"He's with you?" Harry asked, a bit of hope in his voice.

"No. He's staying in a hotel and he wants me to bring some stuff for him," he lied.

"Where is he staying?"

"I can't tell you. He doesn't want to talk to you right now." Louis pushed past Harry and walked up to their bedroom. He went into their dresser and pulled out whatever he could find.

"Louis," Harry started.

"Stop talking. I just came here to get some stuff and now I'm leaving. You can talk to me or Liam when you get your fucking shit together." And that was it. Harry stood there upset and clueless.

When Louis got back home, he was greeted with Niall and Liam sitting on the sofa talking. "I'm home!" He brought all of Liam's stuff to the bedroom only to realise that Niall was following him.

"You didn't tell me Liam was coming over for a sleepover," Niall said.

"I'm sorry. Is there something wrong with having Liam here?"

"No. I was just thinking you would call me or something to let me know. I thought we were an honest married couple."

"Sorry I just wasn't thinking and I felt so bad for Liam. He got in a big fight with Harry so I just offered for him to stay here."

"That's fine just please tell me these things from now on."

"I will, I promise." As they walked down the stairs, they saw Liam leaning back on the sofa, one hand supporting him and the other rubbing his belly. "You okay, Liam?"

"I'm fine. She's just kicking so hard right now. It hurts."

"Are you excited to be a mum?" Louis asked, smirking a little bit.

"Okay I may be the pregnant one but I will never be the "mum". Harry and I decided that I'm ring called daddy and he's called papa. Maybe." He moved to a different position. Did Harry say anything to you while you were there?"

"No. Nothing important. He asked if you were staying with me and I told him you're staying in a hotel. Just so he doesn't come here begging for you."

"Thanks, Louis. You're the best."

"It was no problem."

*~1 week later~*

"Liam, are you okay?" Louis asked as he walked into the guest bedroom. "You seem a little quiet today."

"Yeah I'm fine," Liam lied. "Just thinking."

In reality, he was thinking about Harry. He had started to think about what it would it would be like to raise the baby without Harry. What it would be like for this perfect angel to not have another parent.

"Okay well you can just wake us up if you need anything."

"Thanks, Louis. For everything."

"You're welcome." Louis closed the door behind him, leaving Liam by himself in the dark bedroom.

He put his headphones in, laid down, and fell asleep thinking about Harry.

*~1 am~*

"Harry, please help me," Liam cried as be bore down again. "Harry!"

"Honey, Harry's not here," the nurse said. "Your baby's almost here."

Liam sobbed as he pushed for the final time.

A few minutes later, Liam cried finely as he held his newborn daughter. "What happened to my husband?"

"Oh you don't remember?" The nurse asked.

"No," Liam said shaking his head.

"He committed suicide three months ago because you left him."

"What? No. Harry, no. No he's not dead!"

Liam sucked in a giant breath as he shot up to a sitting position. He put one hand on his belly and one over his eyes as he started sobbing. "Harry..."

He sobbed harder and harder until he couldn't breathe. "Harry don't go!"

The door all of a sudden flew open, revealing a frightened Louis and Niall. "Are you okay, Liam?"

They rushed over to Liam's bedside. Liam continued to cry but he was completely zoned out. He was hyperventilating a bit as well. "Liam, look at me," Louis instructed.

Liam continued to breathe heavily as he stared at the wall in front of him. "Ni, go get him some water. And bring yours or my phone just in case."

Niall took off down the stairs. Louis tried to get Liam to snap out of it, but he just wouldn't. Niall brought a glass of water that Louis made Liam drink. He somehow managed to get the water down Liam's throat.

Liam's eyes moved to Louis and Niall. "Liam, are you okay?"

"H-Harry is d-dead."

"No he's not dead, Liam. He's perfectly fine. What's going on with you?"

"I have to throw up," Liam said, taking a giant gulp. "And my stomach is tightening."

"Well c'mon. Let's go to the loo." Louis helped Liam to the toilet in the hallway and Niall stayed behind because he did not have a strong stomach.

He looked over at the spot where Liam was and noticed something that was definitely not supposed to be there.

He bolted to the toilet where he heard Liam retching. He went inside to see Liam leaning over the toilet while Louis sat next to him and rubbed his back.

"Liam," Niall started.

"Yes?" Liam said, looking at Niall.

"Are you supposed to have some sort of period thing when you're pregnant?"

"What?" Liam and Louis said together.

"You may want to see this." Liam and Louis followed Niall to the bedroom. Niall pointed to the bed where there was a large red spot.

"Oh my god." Liam collapsed on the floor as he started breathing heavily again. "My baby. And my stomach hurts!"

"Niall, call an ambulance!" Louis screamed. Niall was fast to pull out his phone and call.

"Okay they're on their way," Niall said, getting on the floor next to Liam.

*~minutes later~*

"... And that's when we saw the blood spot," Louis explained as they put Liam on a gurney.

"Okay we're just get some tests at the hospital." Louis and Niall drove in their car and followed the ambulance. "Liam, can you tell me how you feel?"

"My stomach keeps tightening every couple minutes. I feel really nauseous and I'm worried about my baby."

"Okay well I need you to stay awake for me."

When they arrived, Liam could hear all of the doctors talking. "Liam Styles, twenty two, twenty five weeks pregnant, heavy blood flow after an episode. Hyperventilating."

"I'm okay, I promise, I just want to know if my baby's okay," Liam said, taking the oxygen mask off. "Please tell me she's okay."

"We have to take some tests first, hon." She started hooking up a bunch of machines to him. "How did you feel when you started bleeding?"

"Nauseous. I actually threw up a couple times before I found out I was bleeding."

"Did you pass out at all?"

"No. Not that I know of at least."

"Okay. Let's check out the baby here." She pulled a sonogram machine next to the stretcher he was still on. She squirted the gel on his bump then moved the wand around it. "Baby looks and sounds okay. But we still have to do some more tests. Is there anyone I can call for you, love?"

Liam thought about Harry, but then let it go. "No."

"Alright."

She got an X-ray, MRI, and a CT scan before Liam was able to be admitted to a room. At that point. He was exhausted. They told him to sleep since they wouldn't know anything for at least six hours, but he needed at least one person to be in the room with him at all times.

Louis and Niall just crashed on the sofa in the room.

An hour later, the nurse came back to take Liam's vitals. As she put the stethoscope on his chest, he shook awake. "Hi, Liam. How are you feeling?"

"Tired," he said, rubbing his eyes. "Is she okay?"

"We're still waiting on all of the results but we'll let you know as soon as we have them."

"Oh my god," Liam said, obviously in vain.

"What's wrong, Liam? Can you tell me how to feel?" The nurse said as she moved around Liam.

"My stomach keeps clenching really tight. It hurts so bad!" He cried. "Can this mean that I'm in labour? I can't be! I'm only six months!"

"We're going to put this around your belly," she said pulling out a strap that connected to a machine. "This will measure these contraction-like feelings. It should help us determine what's going on."

"Okay."

She finished taking his vitals, did a quick stomach exam, a quick sonogram, then left. All of the boys fell back asleep within a few minutes.

*~5:30am~*

"Why is it taking them so long to do these tests?" Liam said. "It's making me anxious."

"I don't know," Louis said. "I'm gonna run down to the cafeteria and get some coffee. Want some?"

"Yeah just the decaf obviously. Thanks, Lou."

"Sure. Ni?"

"Yeah I'll have some. But make sure there's caffeine in it."

"I will." Louis ran down to the cafeteria.

As he was fixing up the coffee, he heard a deep voice from behind him. "Louis?"

He turned around to see none other than Harry. "Harry, what the hell are you doing here?"

"I came to see Liam. Where is he?"

"I uh..."

"Louis just please tell me where he is. I need to see him. I have some very serious things to talk to him about."

"Okay I'll show you where he is but if he asks, I didn't bring you there, understood?"

"Course." Harry followed Louis silently up to Liam's room.

"Just let me go in first and give him a minute," Louis said, stopping Harry at the door. Harry stopped and stood quietly as Louis entered the room then closed the door. "Here you go, guys."

"Thanks, Louis," they said in unison.

"Hey Liam, what if I told you that someone from a while back came to see you?" Louis asked subtly.

"Uh I don't know. It depends on who it is," Liam answered. "Who is it?"

Louis opened the door. "You can come in." In walked Harry.

"Harry- what the- did Louis or Niall call you? What are you doing here? You shouldn't be here."

"We'll leave you two," Niall said, pulling Louis out of the room.

"The hospital called me," Harry said.

"Why would they call you? I told them not to call anyone."

"Well I'm your emergency contact."

"Dammit," Liam said, putting no his face in his hands. Then he looked back up. "What do you want, Harry?"

"I came to talk to you."

"I don't really want to hear it," Liam snapped.

"I know you don't but please just listen to me," Harry said. "I was wrong. I was so wrong. I messed up so bad. You are far from fat and I never meant to mean it a way that I was saying you were. I spent way to much on a stupid pair of boots then bitched at you for buying stuff we really needed. I'm an idiot and I know that. I fucked up so bad. I'm sorry. I am so so sorry, Liam."

Liam stayed quiet as Harry took a breath. "I returned the boots and got our money back." Liam watched as Harry started crying. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I love you so much Liam and I need you back. I miss you. I never should have said what I said or have done what I did. I just want you to forgive me so I can be there for you and our daughter. You two mean the whole world to me and there's no me without either of you. Please, Liam, please please please forgive me. I'm sorry."

Liam wiped away a few tears himself. "Please Liam please."

"Harry just give me a minute please," Liam said. Harry stood silently as Liam sniffled and wiped away tears several times.

"If it helps, I got you this," Harry said, putting a small shopping bag on the bed. Liam looked at Harry before pulling the bag closer. He reached his hand in to pull out a really nice maternity shirt that he had been wanting forever. He also pulled out some maternity jeans which he had been wanting and needing. "Harry I-"

"I saw you looking at that stuff in the store before you left. I went back to go get them but they didn't have your size so I ordered them online."

"Are you saying on fat again?" Liam asked, sounding a bit upset.

"No! Of course not! I'm saying that they have certain sizes for all of the months of pregnancy. They had like months three, four, and five, then eight and nine. No six or seven. I had to make sure you had the right size but I also got you one eight month and one nine month pair. I know it's silly anything to let you forgive me."

Liam looked at the clothes for a minute before putting them back. "Come here, Harry."

Harry moved over to the bed then sat down on it. Liam embraced him unexpectedly in a hug. Harry felt so good to be back in Liam's arms so he wrapped himself around Liam. "I forgive you, Hazza."

Harry all of a sudden pulled back. "You do?"

"Of course. And it's not because of the clothes. It's because you realised what you did and you sincerely apologised for it. That's better than any maternity clothing I could ever ask for, although that was a nice bonus." He and Harry laughed together. "I love you."

"I love you too." They leaned in for their first kiss in a week and half.

They were interrupted by a nurse walking in. "Liam, we have your baby's results."

When they pulled apart, Liam looked at the paper of results while Harry asked what happened. "Basically he came in here because he was bleeding very badly. We couldn't find anything even after the tests."

"So what does this mean?" Liam asked.

"Well we do have a theory as to what it could be. We think it could be Placenta Abruption."

"What is that?" Liam asked.

"It's when the placenta and the wall of the uterus detach too early before birth."

"Oh god," Liam said, interrupting her. He put his hands on his belly while the machine started making noise. "My stomach again!"

"Page the gynaecologist please!" The nurse yelled while she scrambled around.

Another doctor came in a minute later. "What's going on?"

"He's having these contractions. They seem to be happening every twenty minutes."

"It's over now," Liam said, catching his breath.

"What is going on?" Harry asked, worried.

"We need to do a sonogram." The gynaecologist brought a machine in as Liam pulled up his shirt. She moved the wand around before she stopped. "And there's the problem."

"What is it? Is she okay?" Liam asked.

"She is fine but you have a Placenta Abruption. These contractions are symptoms as well as all of the bleeding and pain."

"So what does this mean?" Harry asked.

"Because it's too early for birth and it's moderate Abruption, we have to do a surgery to fix it. It's very risky but it's possible."

"When can we do this?" Liam asked.

"Tomorrow morning at earliest."

"Can we do it? I really need to make sure she's okay," Liam said.

"I'll put that on the board. Hit the call nurse button when you have another contraction feeling."

"Okay."

*~the next morning~*

"Are you ready, Liam?" The surgeon asked as they pulled him into the OR.

Liam nodded sleepily. The anaesthesiologist put the mask over his face and they watched as Liam's eyes closed slowly.

*~after the surgery~*

"How did it go?" Harry asked the doctor that was doing a check up on a still sleeping Liam.

"It went perfect. No complications. He should be out of here in the next few days," she explained.

"Thank god."

*~hours later~*

".... And we'll take her to my parent's house where I'm sure Gemma won't give her back," Harry said to Liam who was still asleep before chuckling.

Liam twitched a little before fluttering his eyes open at Harry. "Hi, sleepyhead."

"Harry?" He asked, his voice raspy.

"I'm right here, babe. You just got out of surgery. They said it all went perfect. She's okay."

Liam smiled. "She's kicking." Harry moved closer and put his hands on Liam's belly.

"Feel her in there. What a perfect angel." He moved right next to Liam's belly. "You really are a perfect angel. We can't wait for you to be here."

A few days later, Liam was released from the hospital but was put on bed rest for a few days. Just so they could keep an eye on bleeding and the stitches.

3 months later, Liam went into labour. His water broke at home and Harry rushed him to the hospital where Liam delivered their healthy baby girl 5 hours later, Darcy Anne Styles.

"Last push, Liam! She's almost here!" Harry encouraged.

Liam sat up and bore down for the final time. Cries filled the room as the baby was lifted up. "There she is, babe."

"Our baby girl is finally here."
