Seeing The Red
"Get Mia here now!" Josh shouted as he balled up his fist and began the first set of compressions. "Dessi, head off to the Edrens pack home. Go straight to Alpha Damien, tell him the situation and have him bring any medics they have." The she-wolf nodded her head in obedience and took off before anyone had a chance to tell her anything else.
Staring at the scene in front of him, all Eric could do was watch as his alphas and lower ranking pack members rushed around trying to save the three girls covered in blood. He could see that one she-wolf was awake, she was wrestling against one of his fighters, screaming for her Luna, as a tracker tried to pull what looked like the break pedal from her lower leg.
His fighter held her down, his jaw set at a manner that sent a shiver of shock down his back. He'd seen the look before, it was the look Damien held when ever he fought with Amberley.
"WHERE THE F#CK IS MIA?" Josh's fit of rage pulled Eric away from his current thoughts and back to his older sister. He could see the color slowly draining away from her skin as she slipped further and further away.
"Please not again...this can't happen again..."

"I assume everything is good between you and Luna Drev?" Damien looked up from his paperwork to see his beta with a smile.
"It's a mystery...I tell ya, that girl drives me crazy." He said with a sigh as he dropped her pen on the desk and relaxed in his chair. Jeremiah plopped down in the seat across from him and jumped into a conversation they had started week ago.
"How do you think the guys will react to her?"
"We'll I'm not taking her with me for the next meeting if that tells you anything."
"And if they don't accept her?"
"If your asking am I willing to give her up in order to keep my friends, then the answe is no. She's my mate, I'm not giving that up."
"Would it be better if she was a wolf?" He asked with a raised eyebrow. The alpha stared him down for a second as the question settled in his mind. When the real question dawned on him he was quick to deny him.
"No! She is staying human."
"Why?"
"Because...she...she's like her Jeremiah." The answer to why he loved her finally showed it's face.
"You really think so?"
"In a sense, think about it...what was Serena able to do that no one else was...?"
"I don't know...tolerate you?"
"Ha...you're so funny," Damien remarked as his friend laughed, "But no...like Serena, Klaire is able to bring the best in me out. She makes me feel...I just can't kill now, every time I think about it, the thought of what she would think crosses my mind. I don't want to loose her Jeremiah."
"Who would have guessed I would have been able to hear those words come out of your lips."
"Trust me, I'm just as surprised as you." He really was. Damien didn't think he'd find someone who could make him smile like Serena did. But there is so much more to it now. Klarissa is always challenging him, and as much as he hates it, the struggles with her keeps him on his toes. Every time she puts her foot down and does the cute little smirk, he finds it harder and harder not to pin her against a wall and have his way with her.
"What are you thinking about?" Jeremiah asked from the look plastered on his alpha's face.
"Her."
"She really has gotten to you hasn't she?"
"Oh yes she-"
"Alpha!" A pounding on his door interupted him mid-sentence. There was a low growl before he called them in. Logan was standing on the other side, a tall red head standing next to him, her face red like she had been running past her limit.
"What?" He spat in anger at the interuption.
"Sir, it's lady Amberley." The girl spoke before Logan could explain. Damien's rage grew at the unknown name, but before he could yell he remembered the way his mate would get angry when she was called that by her younger brother.
"Klaire...what's wrong?" He shot from his desk, worry racking his brain.
"She...she's been in a crash sir...there's a lot of blood, but my alpha's are already on the scene and-" Damien was out of the room in a matter of seconds. He knew it was impossible, how could his goddess give him back to her only to take her away. Struggling to control the anger growing inside, Damien tried to push all thoughts from his head and focused only on the link between him and his mate.
The link was still strong, giving him a straight line towards Klaire's destination. He tore through his clothes allowing his wolf to break free and pushed his body into a dead sprint as he closed in. The grass beneath him zoomed by, each pounce bringing him to his beam of light that was able to pierce the darkness. Each breath he blew, was one more breath closer to having her in his arms. Please, his voice rang out towards her, Don't leave me. I'll be there for you soon, I promise!
Suddenly, her scent swamped him. Light poured into his eyes as the trees cleared around him leaving a single paved rode in the clearing. Swinging his head around he spotted his sisters blue jeep crushed on its top side and two male alpha's leaning over a bloody body.
Jealousy, worry, and anger grew like a wild fire inside of him. He shifted back and ran up to the two wolves, shoving them both hard enough that they went flying back into the pavement. Fear flooding his system, he crashed to the ground and pulled Klaire's blood stained body onto his lap.
"Look at me!" He growled. "You have no right to die on me. I didn't give you permission!" The longer he looked, the more the anger within him grew. This could have even solved easily. He knew that if she had finished the bond, she could take his strength and heal from that.
"Alpha Damien, please let our healer take a-"
"I'll break every finger in your hand if you try to touch her!" He snarled, the wolf stalking below the surface of his skin. The black beast was ready to pounce on anyone who tempted to get to close to his mate.
"My medic could heal her..."
"No!"
"She needs medical attention!" Hector yelled in frustration.
"No she doesn't." Picking her up from the ground, Damien pulled her against his chest and began walking back towards the pack home. He wasn't even off the rode when a hand stopped him. Four alpha's were growling, their eyes turning gold as they let their protectivness for the girl sink in.
"Amberley is going to die if you take her. Mia is the best at what she does, please let her heal our alpha."
"No!"
"Why are you being so stubborn-"
"Because she's mine!" His wolf growled through his human body, the beast slowly taking over his humanity, "My mate! I will heal her not your pathetic medic!" Not caring about their replies, Damien tightened his grip around his mate and began running back home.
A/N: Yeah I know, kind of a short chapter, but I feel like if I add more I kind of drag it on. But dont worry there is more to come, the cogs in my brain are twisting and turning coming up with the ending chapters!
P.s. There will be an epilogue, and it might not make the most sense in the world, but the way I have it planned, you will understand it later.
I hope you have enjoyed 'Seeing The Red'
