Left On The Edge

"So you actually told my brother you loved him?" Lillian asked as she eyed her best friend in the passenger seat.

"It's how I feel, why wouldn't I tell him that?"

"Who would have guessed that you and my brother would actually accept each other."

"This is a good thing," Victoria grinned as she stuck her head in between the two girls, "Everyone is happy now. Lets keep it that way!"

"I know but still, I mean her and my brother actually together, and of their own free will, I just never thought it would have happen."

"Well it did, and now all that's left is you."

"Me?" Lillian asked with a raised eye brow.

"We got to find you, your mate!"

"No!" She shook her head. "No mates for me, I'm sorry but I plan on staying away from men - holy f#ck!" Slamming on her brakes, Lillian turned the wheel sharply to the left. The front tire hit a large pot hole and the blue jeep went flying through the air. Screaming, Klaire covered her head and prayed to her god that they would live. After a few good roles, the jeep landed on its top pinning all three girls to their seats.

"Klaire!" Lillian screamed as the scent of copper filled her nose.

"I...I'm g...good." Klaire looked around her surroundings, red filling her vision as blood began dripping into her eyes. She struggled to push her self out when a sharp pain exploded in her legs. Biting her cheek, she sucked in breath and tried to keep herself from screaming. "Lillian..."

"God D@mn It!" Lillian shouted in frustration.

"What happened?" Victoria whispered as she began gaining consciousness.

"There was a man...I didn't want to hit him." Looking out the window, Lillian let her gaze slide around her surroundings but found no one. "He...he's gone I think."

Klarissa opened her mouth the speak but found the words floating away as a wave of light crashed over her. Feeling her fingertips go numb she drifted her gaze over to her friend. Staring, she watched her friends lips move, surprised to hear only silence.

The look on her face was pure horror, but before she could grasp the situation, there was a another wave of light, followed by nothing but darkness.

Watching the eyes roll back in her head, Lillian began to panic. "Tori!"

"What's wrong?" Victoria asked breathless.

"Klaire...she...she won't open her eyes - oh god there's so much blood, this isn't right Tori!" In desperation Lillian began trying to pull her legs free. All she could accomplish was forcing her body to go through large amounts of pain as something lodged in her leg began slicing through her flesh.

"Lillian you...need to calm down-"

"No! I'm not letting her die! I am going to get her out!" Lillian continued to struggle more, but the longer time went on, the more she realized she was stuck. No matter what move she made, there was nothing but pain. Even when she tried to shift, the moment her body began to change, what ever was stuck in her leg, began tearing at her flesh, and she would be forced to stop.

"Lillian..."

"Tori...she can't die! I just got back to her..." There was no holding back the tears.

"She...she's still alive...h...her heart beat is still steady...i...if I can get..." The more she talked the weaker she became. Victoria could feel her wounds healing, but the loss of blood of already taking affect. Both girls could feel the dark cloud of dread beginning to form over their heads. From the look of the situation, a dead body might be brought back to the pack home.

"Tori!" Lillian shouted her name but there was no response, "Tori please! Wake up! No don't leave me alone! Goddess please!"

"Why are you so mad Eric? You should have known she would have said no, I'm sure everyone in the pack can see your sister hasn't changed in the slightest bit....personality wise." Hector commented as he watched the pack fighters train. Eric snorted at his question and smirked in response.

"Seriously dude, give your sis a break." Eric looked up at his third in command and rolled his eyes. Both alpha's shook their heads at his stubbornness and joined in before his anger woke up. As the alpha watched his strongest train, his memories eventually took over.

Like every Wednesday, the Fighters were out on the field, sweat dripping off their chins. In the dead center, Hector was pinned on the ground, a slim, toned arm pressed against his throat, hard enough to give him slight breathing problems, but weak enough that he wouldn't suffocate.

After he waved his hands in defeat, his opponent held out her hand and pulled him to his feet. Only a few words were exchanged, he needed to train more, and try not to get distracted over the fact that she was wearing tight pants and a sports bra, the attire she often wore in order to distract the males.

After apologizing for his actions, she walked over and sat down next to her beta, "So little brother, why aren't you in the arena?"

"Please Amber, you know I let you handle the fighting, it's suits you more."

"Still that doesn't mean a little training won't hurt."

"I trained yesterday..."

"That was just our every day session, you know Wednesdays are when the alphas come out to play, your an alpha, so get out there and play!"

"How about you go back out and I will get back to the paperwork you refuse to do." With a grin plastered on her face from her brothers words, the commanding she-wolf jumped to her feet and took a swish from her water bottle before skipping off back into the training field. She wasn't even in for a second before she was on a males back, kicking his feet out from underneith him and bringing him face first into the ground.

Eric just watched with a smile as his sister ganged up on their weaker alphas, making all three of her opponents look pitiful. It didn't surprise him in the least bit. That girl was gifted with the ability to find a weakness and overpower her opponents with it, it was what made her just a great alpha-

"Eric!" Pulling sharply away from his day dream, the alpha found most of his pack members gone with a smaller she-wolf running his way. The paniced expression on her face had him jumping to his feet and meeting her half way.

"What is it? Is everyone okay?" He asked quickly, a clear sign he was nervous.

"Josh was out with a few of the guys, they had shifted and ventured off onto the Edrens territory when Dyson caught wind of a strong scent of copper. The closer they got the more they recognized the scent and-" The girl had no time to respond before he was shifted and darting through the woods towards his pack mates. Only one person could cause this much panic on the Edrens territory, and he was not about to take any chances.

With his paws extended in front of him, he blew up the link connection trying to find any answers he could get. All the lines were silent, the silence indicating that something was clearly wrong. He felt his heart pause and before he knew it, he was at full speed, crossing onto neutral territory and heading towards his sisters.

About five yards away, Josh's voice rang through his mind like a chorus of angels saving him from hell, you close?

What's going on, where is she?

We're with her, but you aren't going to like this one...

Tell me god d@mn it, or it will be your head!

She's lost a lot of blood - before he could even finish his sentence, Eric shut off the link. No he was not going to loose her, not after he just found her. Shaking his head in anger, Eric pushed his body even harder. Before he knew it, her scent was surrounding him.

He could feel her presence as he ran through their territory. It was like back home, all she ever wanted was to be in the woods. Even as a child, he could remember the old beta yelling at her for making him send out a search party at two in the morning to find her. Internally he chuckled at the memories, her excuse to the beta always being that the woods called to her, and that she a style as felt safer.

Pushing the memories to the side for a later time, he came upon an opening in the trees. Flying through it, he came upon a scene that ripped his heart to shreds. Amberley was on the ground, blood covering almost every inch of her body. He inched closer and closer, each step even with the beat of her heart. The alpha was so close, when he stopped.

No...

A/N: Mwhaha! Cliff hanger! I'm sure you thought the book was going to end smoothly, but nope you were wrong! I can be a little twisted sometimes :)

I hope you enjoyed the chapter and the rest to come!

P.s. So if any of you have checked out my second book "Hide Me" don't freak out if it suddenly dissappears...I am going to do it but I am changing the plot around. I plan on writing out the first few chapters, and if I like where it's going I will put it up, if not I will restart and in the mean time put up a preview for "Chained" (most likely will only be a preview and not the entire thing.)

~Stiel out!
