Chapter 27: Fate

A/n: Wow. Time for the closing of the story. This is the the last chapter before the finale. Thank you for reading, and I hope you all enjoy.

(Alistair POV):

My footsteps were muffled by the bustling activity going on around me. My men were in the middle of preparations for the world's greatest revolution. I continued walking past my subordinates scrambling to perform their various tasks before arriving my office.

I entered the room and closed the door behind me. Immediately, everything went silent. I walked over and sat down at my desk. The only object on the wooden furniture was my laptop. It held the key to my plan to everything. I opened it, and multiple locations on a digital map were marked red.

Moscow. Berlin. Washington D.C. London. Beijing. Tokyo. Seoul. Capitals from across the globe were highlighted. They were ready to meet the future I have planned for all these years.

Kyle:"Boss." I looked up to see Kyle in full combat gear. Every part of his body was dressed with the latest military technology you could find, except for his face. His facial expression was a stoic one, but I could see the excitement for combat in his eyes.

"Are they ready?" I questioned sternly. Kyle nodded in response.

Kyle:"All of our men are on standby." He replied. I nodded and stood up. I walked over to the window in my office that overlooked the base. Crates of weapons, supplies, and W.M.D.'s were ready to be loaded into the planes for follow up operations.

"Good. We'll move in after the first wave of attacks." I ordered. Kyle nodded before exiting my room. I then looked back at the screen. The rd numbers for countdown have begun, and I have already activated the codes. No governmental override will stop this from happening. Nothing can stop me. Except...

(Third Person POV):

Clang!

The metal doors slammed shut. Creating echoes across the empty dark , concrete hallways. Once the redhead finished locking the prison door, she stepped away to reveal a blonde inmate sitting in the corner. The woman had her face tucked in into her knees, as she hugged herself. Her hair was disheveled, and worn, damp sleeves indicated signs of sorrow. The redhead stared at her with a blank expression.

IQ:"What are you going to do now?" She questioned with a bitter tone. The redhead flinched at the sudden question before hesitantly walking over to a nearby wall.

Ash:"M-My orders were to watch over you." She stuttered in a shaky tone. A bead of nervous sweat dripped from her head. IQ looked up at Ash with an skeptical look before turning away.

IQ:"I don't know what that man did to you, but..." She trailed off, as she took a moment to compose herself.

IQ:"To betray the man you love-we love. I-I-I..." She tried to speak, but each time she grew angrier and angrier until she broke into tears. Ash stared at IQ in shock before looking at her hands. They pulled the trigger on the man she loved.

IQ:"He's alive right? Please tell me he's alive...." She begged to a higher being with a desperate tone. Ash continued to tremble with remorse, pain, and fear. Flashes of what Alistair did to her invaded her mind. She screamed in agony and fell to her knees.

Ash:"Please no more! No more!" She cried out. IQ stopped crying and looked at Ash with a startled look. Ash then sprinted off and collapsed at a corner and began hyperventilating. Her eyes darted around for a means to stop her painful memories. Suddenly, a thought passed through her mind. She reached for the handgun she used to end (Y/n)'s life.

Ash:'Maybe...maybe I can be with him? He'll take away my pain? Right?' She thought madly, as a terrified sweat rolled down the side of her face. Before she could go any further with her crazed motives, the entire base began ringing loudly. The alarm has been set off.

Ash/IQ:'What's going on?' They both wondered in unison. The two ladies stood up in unison and trained their bodies to the the direction with most sound. Wherever it was the most noisiest, something is going down.

Suddenly, the entire base shook. Every floor felt the heavy tremors, and the people occupying them as well. IQ stumbled and fell to the ground due to her fatigue and condition, while Ash caught herself. Still, IQ managed to maintain her controlled mental state.

IQ:"Eliza!" She barked out the redhead's name. Ash remained in a daze with her mind flooded with a million thoughts.

Ash:'I-Is he coming for me?' She wondered ludicrously, completely ignoring IQ's cries. The lack of ventilation, heat, and trauma caused Ash to lose any stable mental capacity she had left.

IQ:"Hey! Listen to me, if there's any gram of sanity left inside you, we need to go now!" She yelled, but her words fell deaf to Ash's ears. The redhead was no longer able to process anything rationally. She sat on the ground mumbling incoherent thoughts that belonged in an asylum. All the hope began to drain from the German's face, as she closed her eyes and began to pray for a miracle.

Meanwhile...

(Third Person POV)

A strong arm wrapped around a startled White Mask terrorist's neck, before yanking him behind the grassy hill. A second of muffled screams before the recognizable snap of a human's neck being broken. A male with (h/c) hair then peeked over the ledge with a pair of binoculars to spy upon the enemy base. However, the alarm began blaring loudly, and everyone in the vicinity rushed to their battle positions. The (f/c) male looked down upon his victim and saw a blinking red light above his heart. Each and every terrorist was connected to the alarm system via their heartbeat. If one were to stop, it's known.

???:"Looks like sneaking in isn't going to work now is it, (Y/n)?" A familiar voice rang out from being the prone male. (Y/n) turned around to see a familiar face dressed up for war. Ace. Suddenly, several other men stepped out from their hidings and stood beside their comrade. Ace, Dai Kor, Wasp, Aegis, and Lucifer. They were here for one purpose that they all joined together for. To eliminate the White Masks once and for all.

Lucifer:"To think they'd wire up their own guys just so they know anyone is coming, this is their final move." The male observed with a slightly annoyed tone. (Y/n) then stood up and faced before the men he worked with. Everyone awaited a response from the man who had endured possibly the most out of all of them.

(Y/n):"This is my fight, guys." He stated somberly. The other males glanced at each other with a moderately surprised look before Ace stepped forward.

Ace:"Casting aside your personal vendettas, this is our fight too. This organization is going to bring doom to us all. If I'm apart of the group that was formed to stop this guys and stood by doing nothing, that would defeat my whole purpose wouldn't it?" He replied seriously. (Y/n) stared at the male before looking over at the others. They all shared the same views and were going to join this fight. No matter what. (Y/n) closed his eyes and sighed in thanks.

(Y/n):"Alright." He agreed to fight with his Black Mask comrades. Ace nodded and smiled before returning his attention to the situation.

Ace:"Now that the master of stealth has tripped the alarms, what's the plan guys?" He opened the question for discussion.

Aegis:"Since stealth is out of the question, how about a heads-on approach?" He suggested.

Dai Kor:"That's suicide. They have dozens of sniper posts and man-operated turret nests that over watch an open field towards the base. Which also happens to be the only way to the base. We'll be ripped to shreds before we even " He countered the argument.

Wasp:"Well...I got nothing. Any other ideas?" He said doubtfully. The Black Masks shook their heads, while Ace thought intensely. Suddenly, the loud sound of a turbine engine roared. The men readied their weapons and aimed in the direction of the sound. Moments after, a desert sand colored tank with a Soviet Union flag flapping in the back, emerged from the forest, running over the wild arbor life. The vehicle stopped before the men, and the hatch opened.

RC:"I've come bearing gifts from the Motherland." He said with a sluggish grin. Everyone lowered their weapons and looked at the arrived Russian.

Lucifer:"Are you drunk?" He questioned his teammate. RC burped and shook his head.

RC:"Drunk? Nooo. Russian's never get drunk. I just had to play a small drinking game to get this one for free." He denied and patted the armored vehicle. Suddenly, Ace's eyes widened, as a plan formulated before him.

Ace:"Maybe stealth isn't completely ruled out of the picture yet." He said ominously.

Ace began discussing his plan. They were to all adopt a "Hail Mary" move and barrel towards the enemy. Once in range, (Y/n) will depart from the group and proceed with his task, while the rest of the Black Masks took care of the White Masks. Everyone agreed and boarded the tank. RC whipped out his remote controller for his other gadgets and launched the tank forward.

Wasp:"When did you have time to hook that up?" He questioned curiously, as they rolled towards the enemy base. Before RC could respond, bullets and missiles began flying. The bullets deflected off the heavy metal easily, but the explosives were the problem. RC pressed a button on the controller, and a machine gun on the tank began to automatically gun down the missiles before they hit the vehicle. The explosions rocked the cabin violently, and RC decided to speak.

RC:"It's Bluetooth man." He replied simply which left the Polish operator with a deadpanned expression. Suddenly, multiple blips on the radar began appearing. (Y/n) glanced outside to see White Masks sending out their own tanks, and anti-vehicle personnel. They began to open fire. Sending the Black Masks in taking evasive measures.

RC:"I've got guns, bazookas, and a lot of bullets in here. Grab one and do something, while I focus on getting us to our destination in one piece." He suggested in an irritated tone, as he maneuvered away from another tank round.

The lone tank and its occupants exchanged fire with the White Masks. The superiority of the Black Masks was clear, as obliterated remnants of the White Mask squads deployed were strewn all over the field. However, supplies were quickly diminishing for the Black Masks, while the numbers from the White Masks seemed endless. It was time. RC fired his tank's gun at wall where sewage ran from the base to create a new entrance.

Ace:"Alright (Y/n), godspeed."

Dai Kor:"We'll take care of these lackeys."

Wasp:"Go save them."

Aegis:"Rip him a new one:"

Lucifer:"Finish it."

RC:"I don't know. Go shoot something, I guess."

They all wished (Y/n) farewell. (Y/n) nodded in thanks before exiting the tank and diving into the hole that was created. The tank continued forward before crashing into another side of the base. It's occupants exited the vehicle and entered to provide enough of a distraction for Reaper to complete his final mission. However, what awaited those men were once soldiers like them, with the same training, and one final foe.

Kyle:"This is going to be fun." He grinned ecstatically, as he watched the camera feeds. The Black Masks were headed straight for him.

(Y/n) POV:

After discarding the clothing I wore through the sewage system, I borrowed the White Mask's uniform and began treading the halls. The primary objective was to find Alistair and stop all this madness, but it wasn't at the top of my list. I have come here in search of three people. One being Alistair, and the other two that mattered above all else.

'All I need is to find intel on this base.' I thought to myself and crouched beside a blind corner. My ears searched for any sign that there may be anyone there. After quickly peeking over, I darted to one of the server rooms I located. There I pulled out my phone and began splicing into the network.

Various files appeared on the dim, small screen. My eyes quickly darted around in search of what I need. Most of the files were links to the plans Alistair had. Military officials, weapons documents, and so forth. Other than that, I continued searching for any way to reach IQ and.....Ash.

'Eliza....' Her name echoed inside my head. I felt everything around me dull, as I relived that fateful moment in my head. The look on her face. The bullets impacting my chest. The gunfire from the very sacred pistol I gifted her. Never would I have thought she'd betray me, but she did.

I spent hours of thinking after being evacuated by Foley's men. The operation was a set up, and I walked right into it. However, it was why Ash decided to betray me, was the question that kept me sleepless. I thought we loved each other. I think I still do.

Suddenly, I snapped out of my thoughts and returned my attention to the situation. The security file pinged brightly, and I tapped on it. Multiple feeds appeared on my phone, and I continued to sift through it. I saw the White Mask's mobilizing and multiple cameras going dark from the combat between the Black and White Masks. However, no sign of Alistair or the girls.

I then noticed that there was no security cams for a large portion of the lowest floor or a large section of the base near the waterside. They had to be at either of those locations. I decided to take my chances with the basement first.

???:"OH SHIT!" I heard someone shout and immediately trained my weapon in the direction of the source. I was too caught up in my search that the door was left open. The White Mask fumbled for his rifle, but he was too late. I fired one round right between his eyes, and the corpse fell to the ground. Clean kill, but I didn't have a silencer.

???:"Shots fired on level B2!" Presumably another White Mask shouted on the dead man's radio. I was compromised and had to move fast. They were bound to know who has infiltrated, and were ready.

I grabbed the dead terrorist's weapon and peeked outside the door. There I was immediately replied with automatic gunfire. They responded fast, but that won't stop me. I lifted the corpse in front of me and dived out into the hallway. The reinforcements didn't hesitate to unload their supply of bullets at anything that moved.

The White Mask's bullets riddled their own comrade's corpse. I knew my make-shift shield wouldn't last, so I tucked my rifle under the body's armpit and blind fired. The enemy gunfire lessened and opened a window of opportunity. I dropped both the rifle and body before taking aim. Three heads appeared from behind the walls at the end of the T-shaped hallway. I fired three shots, hitting their mark. The terrorists fell dead to the ground, as I turned and continued on my path. I ran quickly through to base now that the enemy knew where I was. Hopefully, the Black Masks can drop the numbers, so I could carry out what I needed to do. However, I knew the White Masks already outnumber us by a ton and possess the same training we have.

Eventually, I reached the floor before my destination. I slowly opened the door to see a large hanger. Multiple men were hurriedly shuffling around to prepare for a war. I saw crates of weapons and explosives loaded into armored vehicles. Alistair was going to raze the land if I don't stop this. Before I could enter the room, my phone buzzed. It was a message from Ace.

Ace:"We've taken out the main forces at the main hangers and floors. However, there's this one guy that poses very troublesome." The male typed. I stared at the message in deep thought.

'If it isn't Alistair, then it could only be-' I was cut off from my thoughts when all the lights went out. Shouts and panic came from the men in he hanger. It seems like they don't know what was going on as well. Was it my team's doing?

Kyle:"Oops! I may have cut off the power to the whole base! Boss is going to be pissed! Oh well." He suddenly boomed on the intercoms. What was this guy up to?

Kyle:"I know your little plan (Y/n). Have the Black Masks distract the small guys, while you take out the big man and save your women. I admit, it's simple and hard to beat. Considering who we're up against. However, the dark isn't only your element (y/n). I suggest you hurry before I come get ya!" He stated before silence ensued. I nudged the door open once again to see only a red hue from the flashing emergency lights. The men had readied their weapons and had their night vision goggles active. Nothing I've ever faced before.

It was almost dead silent. Only the occasional faint shuffle of a footstep. These men were on guard. Slightly more difficult to deal with, but there was only one factor necessary to beat them. I lurked my way through the large room until I found a worthy target. The one lone person.

As the soldier was turning to face me, I stabbed him in the neck and clamped his mouth. He choked on his blood before passing away. I clipped on a hook to his belt before tying in some nylon rope I had. I glanced around again to see if anyone had noticed. None yet. I then grabbed my rappelling hook and readied it.

'Good morning.' I silently stated before unpinning the flash grenade on the dead man's chest and rappelling upward. The explosive let out a deafening ring and blinding flash. Cries if pain filled the hanger, as I held onto the support beam and unholstered my weapon. I fired off multiple shots within the crowded areas and let things work out its own.

The blind and panicked men began blindly firing everywhere. They knew who I was. And despite their training, if I had the advantage in any way, they lose. So I took advantage of that. As more and more men were caught in their friendly fire, I decided to finish it.

I crawled over to the stair way and dropped to the ground. I unpinned a frag grenade and tossed it over to the missile crates. Quickly shutting the door, explosions ensued and shook the base. I remained unaffected since Alistair had these doors blast proof in case of an attack. Only to have it turn on him.

Without wasting a second, I rushed down the stairs to the lowest level. There, I softly nudged the door open to see the area dimly lit by the emergency lights occasionally illuminating the area. The level seemed mostly comprised of holding cells. All of which I've seen are empty.

IQ:"Ash? Where are you? Please listen to me!" I heard IQ's voice echo out in the distance. Before giving into my impulses to run for the woman I loved, I stopped myself. Ash was here, but neither of IQ or I knew where she was. Unfortunately, Ash could have a general guess on where I am if I acted with haste.

IQ:"Please Ash, this isn't you! I don't know what Alistair did, but we can get out!" She begged desperately, but there was still no response. With time on the essence, I had to do something. Without any other ideas, I decided to do something stupid.

"Monika?" I uttered out loud and entered the room at a steady pace. Even though I revealed my location, I still remained on high alert. Scanning everything I could for traces of anyone.

IQ:"(Y/n)?!" She cried out my name in a mix of joy and disbelief in her tone. I wouldn't blame her. With what happened, I should have been a goner, but...I'm very stubborn to death.

"It's me, Monika. I'm here." I assured her, as I proceeded farther into the room. My footsteps remained silent, as I followed the direction of IQ's voice.

IQ:"I-....I-..." She tried to form words into sentences, but repeatedly failed. She was under heavy distress, and I needed to calm her down.

"It's okay. I'm here, alive, and to rescue you." I assured in a soothing tone. Eventually, I found the cell IQ was held at and steadily approached her. There were streaks from tears running down her eyes, but a look of relief painted her face. I walked up to the metal bars and knelt down in front of her.

IQ:"I'm so glad to see you-" She cut off as a distinct sound of hammer cocking came from behind me. I recognized the sound all too well because it came from a valued weapon I had given to the other person I loved.

"Eliza....." I trailed off after uttering the redhead's name. I slowly stood up and turned around to face the woman. She stood across the room with my mother's pistol aimed at me. The one she used to betray me.

Ash:"I-I see you're still alive." She choked out these words. Whenever the light briefly lit up her face, I could only see deterioration of sanity and remorse. I knew all to well of what happened.

"Yes, I'm fine Eliza. You should-" I began to speak, but stopped when Ash took more precise aim. Her face was in panic, her hair was disheveled, the woman I love was slipping away fast. I had to play it out carefully.

Ash:"Take another move, and I will-" I stopped her by raising my hands up in surrender.

"I understand. Can I at least remove my helmet?" I asked calmly. Ash didn't reply, but she didn't say no either. I slowly reached up to my head and removed my helmet to reveal my face. Ash still trained her weapon on me, as I tossed the helmet away.

Ash:"So...you come all this way just to save her, right?" She asked shakily while twitching uncontrollably. I stared at her, choosing my words carefully before answering.

"No. I came her for both of-"

Ash:"BULLSHIT!" She snapped and fired a round into my chest.

IQ:"(Y/n)!" She screamed in terror, as I grunted in pain, but was more or less fine. The armor stopped the bullet. I made eye contact with Ash again.

"Why do you think that?" I questioned and slowly began to approach her. Ash chuckled madly before looking at me with an enraged expression.

Ash:"It's always been about her! You loved her more even though you promised to treat us equally! Ever since she got knocked up, it has been: IQ this! IQ that! Never about me!" She cried out like a jealous person. I knew Ash wasn't like this. Alistair broke her. I still wonder how she was able to hold it together for so long after rescuing her.

"I'm sorry you feel this way, but...it's not true." I denied and continued to approach her. Ash began to shake her head violently before clutching her head with her hands. She let out a pained scream before glaring at me.

Ash:"Stop lying to me! Alistair said-"

"Alistair is lying! He's a manipulator! He's been  controlling everyone even before I was born!" I snapped strongly. This threw Ash off. She probably wasn't expecting an outburst from me. Hopefully it would not go down badly.

Ash:"No....everything he said was true....I am a witness to it..." She stated in a dazed an unsure tone. Her hand lowered, including the gun. Now was my time. However, this was Ash. I knew if I tried anything funny, she would not hesitate to aim for my head. However, she was currently doing so.

"I know it looks that way, but....us on the plane... does it mean nothing to you?" I questioned firmly. Ash's eyes widened before she looked away.

Ash:"Y-Yes...I don't know." She stuttered in her confused mess. I took another step and continued to assure her.

"Because....everything I do and say...It's all true. I love you Eliza." I said sincerely. Ash slowly looked up at me with a hopeful look. I began to relax a little. Maybe she was starting to come back a little.

Ash:"No." She said in a dead tone before firing two more shots into my chest.

IQ:"Eliza stop!" She cried out, but I held out my hand for IQ to quiet. I looked at Ash with a pained, but stern expression.

"If you really wanted to kill me, then you easily could have." I stated boldly. Ash frowned and aimed the pistol again.

Ash:"Shut up!" She yelled and fired twice more. I grunted in pain, but continued my path to her. Ash continued to fire, but I kept going.

"I'm not giving up on you Eliza! I never will!" I stated, as I continued with my march. Eliza struggled to load in another magazine before taking aim.

Ash:"Stay away!" She cried out and began unloading the entire magazine. However, I closed the gap and embraced her tightly. The redhead tried to break free, but I held on tightly.

"It's okay Eliza, I'm here now. He can't hurt you." I consoled, but was replied with multiple gunshots into my abdomen. I grit my teeth in pain, as she landed point blank shots in the exposed areas of the vest. Now I had gunshot wounds.

"It's okay....I still love you...." I muttered in pain. Ash began to slowly stop resisting while pulling the trigger on the empty weapon.

Ash:"Stay.....away....." She muttered in defiance, but I felt her crazed resolve crumble, until she took my embrace. The woman let out sobs and cries of immense pain. I hugged her tightly and rubbed her head in comfort.

"It's okay...." I whispered, while Ash cried.

Ash:"I'm so sorry! I'm so sorry!" She cried and cried. I slightly let her go and kissed her deeply. She didn't resist and returned her love. After a few moments, we parted and would not look at me.

"Eliza..."I called out to her softly. She hesitantly made eye contact with me. Still shaking from her mental and physical torment. I gently smiled at her.

"I forgive you." I assured sincerely. Ash sniffed before nodding gratefully. I knew she still hasn't forgiven herself and was a long way from recovery, but she was back. I then quickly went over to where IQ awaited for me.

IQ:"Are you alright?" She asked with concern for my injuries. It was too dark for the two to notice my wounds, so I played on their lack of knowledge.

"I'm fine. The vest protected me." I lied to not worry the two. In fact, I would still be able to fight normally due to what I am. IQ nodded hesitantly but didn't argue. Ash handed me the key to IQ's cell, and I let the blonde out. Immediately, I was met with an intense kiss.

IQ:"I'm so glad that you're alive." She said in immense relief. I nodded at her and turned to Ash.

"I need you to do something for me, Eliza." I requested. She looked at me curiously.

"I need to stop the man behind all this." I said seriously. The two women remained silent before nodding in understanding. This was my battle to fight.

Ash:"I understand. I'll see to it that IQ-"

"That you both get out safely." I corrected sternly. Ash went silent before nodding in promise. IQ walked over to Ash, while the redhead looked away shamefully.

IQ:"It's okay, what matters is that (Y/n) is fine." She assured. Ash solemnly nodded before the two ladies turned to me. They were unsure of what to say. No one wanted to say goodbye after their reunion. Not even me. So I decided to say what was best. Not a goodbye or a promise, but the truth.

"I love you." I stated the most important words in my entire life to the two women that meant everything to me. They both teared up before running over and embracing me tightly. I grasped onto the two never wanting to let go.

Ash/IQ:"We love you too." They stated in unison with equal the emotion I had. After several seconds, I let go and marched over to the stairs. I looked back at the two before leaving without saying a word.

(Third Person POV):

After (Y/n) left to carry out his final task. The redhead and blonde began making their way out of the base. The two didn't utter a word, but had the same thoughts running through their minds. More specifically, a prayer.

Ash/IQ:'If you're listening out there, please listen now. Protect (Y/n).' They prayed together.

Meanwhile....

(Y/n) raced through the empty hallways of the White Mask's base. It appeared to be that the Black Masks have done their job well with providing a distraction. The lone soldier has not run into any obstacles. Eventually, he arrived at the double doors that stood in between his location.

(Y/n):'This is it...' He thought to himself and carefully reached for the door. Before the male could even react, a large arm burst through one of the metal doors and grabbed (Y/n) by the throat. He was then yanked through and thrown into a metal I-beam. The sickening sound of bones breaking filled the air. (Y/n) cried out in agony before sitting up to see the perpetrator.

Alistair:"You're too slow, (Y/n)." He taunted before punching the fallen male across the face. (Y/n) fell back to the ground in a daze. His vision was blurry, and a deafening ring filled his head. Alistair walked over calmly and grabbed (Y/n) by the hair before lifting him up.

Alistair:"I expected more fight from you: considering it's doomsday for the world, but I guess you're not up for it." He stated in disappointment before dragging (Y/n) over to a control panel. He dropped (Y/n) onto the ground before tending to his business.

(Y/n) wheezed in pain and struggled to get up. However, he was met with a swift kick to the temple and fell flat once again. Alistair clicked his tongue in a scolding manner before finishing up his work. Once he finished, the entire room lit up to reveal its larger size. It was an entire silo.

Alistair:"Seeing as they only sent you, and the group that followed you here is occupied, we can enjoy what's about to unfold." He stated calmly before lifting (Y/n) up and carrying him along. The two crossed a large metal bridge, while (Y/n) struggled to maintain his consciousness.

They then arrived before an airtight door. Alistair was in the process of opening it, and (Y/n) quickly looked around. They were about to enter an advanced version of the space shuttle. It was hooked up to multiple rockets to aid its launch.

(Y/n):"Where are you taking me?" He questioned in a hoarse voice. Alistair momentarily stopped and looked at (Y/n) with curiosity.

Alistair:"If my space suit and the rocket ship wasn't obvious, we're going to space. We're going to have the best seats in the house for the new age." He answered before the door hissed open. Alistair tossed (Y/n)'s body into the passenger compartment before entering himself. He was about to sit down at the pilot's seat, but climbed over to where (Y/n) was sprawled down.

Alistair:"Just for insurance." He pulled out (Y/n)'s knife and impaled it under the male's armpit. (Y/n) cried out in pain, while Alistair calmly removed any other articles of weaponry from (Y/n). Eventually, he found (F/n)'s pistol.

Alistair:"Ah...I remember this. A blast of nostalgia." He said before stuffing the weapon into a holster and sitting down at his seat. Alistair began the launch sequence, while (Y/n) bled all over. The (s/c) soldier desperately sought for a way to stop the madman, but couldn't in his given condition.

Alistair:"Get cozy (Y/n), wouldn't want to die before the main event." He suggested, as the silo doors opened up and the thrusters fired up. (Y/n), with his free arm, grabbed a hold of something sturdy and braced for launch. This was going to be a one way trip, and he needed to make it to his destination if he hoped to succeed despite it all.

Alistair:"Blast off." Those were the final words uttered from the two before the space ship lifted off. The entire base shook from the launch, and people from across the world monitoring the situation, began to accept their dark fate that awaits.

A/n: Holy crap! Despite my extremely long absence, this story is still alive! I have no one to thank but you all! This will be the last chapter before the finale, so I hope I performed the setup well. Make sure to stay tuned for the ending of my greatest project yet! Once again, I thank you guys so much! See you soon!

PS: I apologize for my lack of updates for so long! College has been taking up most of my life. Despite all that hate and complaints thrown at me, I still stand strong for dedicated readers like you all. Thank you.
