Ash:"Monika! Wake up!"

"Five more minutes..."

I grumbled, while trying to sleep. Suddenly, I heard the familiar sound of jump wires sparking. Immediately, I sat up pointing my pistol in the direction of the sound. It was Dominic and his batteries.

Bandit:"I swear, I wasn't about to use it."

"Lies."

Then I saw Eliza's hand gently lower my pistol.

Ash:"Calm down, Monika."

I put away my weapon, and noticed every operator in my room.

"Umm. Why is everyone here?"

Emanuelle(Twitch) then sat by my side.

Twitch:"We were looking all over you."

Zofia:"Where were you?"

Ela:"And why do you have Reaper's jacket?"

The two sisters finished each other's sentences, but quickly looked away.

"I-I don't know."

Ash:"Well you must know something."

I went silent for a second to recollect what happened.

"So I announced my resignation and went to get packed."

Everyone nodded.

"Then along the way, I saw Reaper leaving the base."

Lesion:"Leaving the base? Isn't that against regulation?"

Echo:"Based on what we've heard, Six has little control over him."

We all nodded in agreement.

Mira:"So what happened next?"

"I decided to follow him through the woods. Then I accidentally got lost in the beauty of the forest, that I lost him."

Rook:"How long were you lost?"

"Only for a second, so I went looking for him. However, I didn't watch my step."

Kapkan:"I told you."

"Okay! I'm sorry, but that's not important. I walked off a cliff."

Several operators raised their eyebrows.

Castle:"Then how are you alive?"

"Reaper saved me."

Everyone was surprised to hear this.

Frost:"Then what happened?"

"I tried to thank him, but you all know..."

Ash:"He walks away and says nothing."

I nodded.

"Yeah, but that didn't stop me. So I chased him down to the top of a cliff. He helped me out again, by giving me his jacket and helmet."

Ela:"You saw his face?!"

"No. He had a balaclava and sunglasses like Marius (Jager)."

Jager:"I don't always wear them though."

"Anyways. I tried to ask him questions and get him to talk, but he didn't do anything. Frustrated, I decided to leave, but..."

Everyone waited for me to continue.

"I kinda got lost."

Sledge:"If you had a GPS, you wouldn't have gotten lost."

Thatcher:"Don't get me fookin started."

"Afterwards, a blizzard hit. I tried to find shelter and stay awake, but couldn't. Next thing I know, I'm awoken here."

Everyone was thinking for a minute.

Dokkaebi:"Maybe he romantically rescued and carried you back here!"

I began to blush a little.

Vigil:"That's it. I'm cutting off your Korean drama."

Grace(Dokkaebi) then began to threaten Chul (Vigil) by changing his phone's ringtone. I tuned them out, while I thought about Reaper.

'Did he actually save me?'

Eliza then interrupted me from my thoughts.

Ash:"It has to be Reaper. Why else would his jacket be here."

Dokkaebi:"Told you!"

Vigil grumbled in annoyance.

"If it was him. What do I do now?"

Six:"You can start by returning his equipment."

We all turned to see Six standing at the doorway.

Fuze:"How long have you been listening?"

Six:"Long enough. Like I said, Reaper is someone you can trust. He may not look that way, but he does watch over you."

Montagne:"Besides the sniper cover?"

Six nodded.

Six:"During physical therapy, did you three ladies feel like someone was watching you?"

She asked Tina, Eliza, and I.

Ash:"Now that you mention it, yes."

Six:"Ever since Reaper brought you back to base, he has been keeping watch over you three during your recovery."

My eyes widened in surprise.

"H-He did that?"

Six:"Yes. He actually cares for his team. Many times more than himself."

Jackal:"That improves my outlook on him."

Ash:"Then why does he act so cold to us? A team should know each other and be strong together."

Six shook her head.

Six:"Unfortunately, that isn't a luxury Reaper can afford. Now before I leave, please do reconsider your resignation, IQ."

She then walked away after telling us this new information. I slowly stood up holding Reaper's jacket.

Blitz:"You're not still thinking about leaving, are you?"

I looked down at my resignation papers. Then I grabbed them as well and left the room.

Ash:"Wait IQ, stop!"

I didn't stop. I marched down the hall. Eliza and the others chased after me.

Ela:"Come on Monika, there's no point leaving."

Tiana (Caveira) quickly blocked my path.

Caveira:"You're giving up a chance many hope to achieve. We're saving lives here."

"I know."

Ash:"Then why are you leaving?"

"I'm not."

Everyone:"Huh?"

Instead of walking around the corner, I immediately turned right. Everyone looked to see what I turned to. It was Reaper's room.

Jager:"What are you-"

I cut him off by knocking on the door. No response. I then knocked again, but no response.

Doc:"Maybe he's not here."

Pulse:"I'll check."

Jack(Pulse) scanned the room with his heart monitor, but his device read static.

Pulse:"Jammed."

Thatcher:"I've got this."

He set an emp grenade. It went off, and Jack checked again. Still static.

Thatcher:"What can counteract that?"

Sledge:"I recommend a breach."

"I'm just trying to-"

I was cut off when Seamus(Sledge) hammered the door. His hammer bounced off like nothing.

Sledge:"Reinforced steel. No good."

Thermite:"I can breach."

Ash:"We're not trying to kill him!"

Thermite:"Don't worry about it."

Twitch:"If we manage to not kill him. What's to stop him from killing us?"

That was a good point.

Ying:"I'll use my flash grenades."

She set her charge on the door. Then Jordan(Thermite) placed his breaching charge. They both pulled the pins.

Thermite/Ying:"Clear!"

We all took cover.

The charges went off. After the dust cleared, we peeked into the room to see it empty. Everything was messed up because of the explosives.

Buck:"Could he be in the bathroom?"

Castle:"Eliza, go check."

She began to blush.

Ash:"What?! I can't go check a man's bathroom. What if he's changing?"

Bandit:"IQ, you go check."

I blushed red.

"Um-no."

Zofia:"I'll go check, since none of you are brave enough."

Ela:"I can go check."

Zofia:"No!"

She turned around to face Ela.

Zofia:"I will not have my little sister go check a man's bathroom?"

Ela:"Why can you then? You're married!"

The two were about to bicker when we heard something unpin. Everyone turned to see Fuze unpin his cluster charges. Our eyes widened in fear.

Fuze:"If there is no Reaper. No need to check the bathroom."

Montagne:"Hit the dirt!"

(Y/n) POV:

I was walking back to my room with some tea. Ever since I trained with the SAS, I was addicted. Tea and honey were what I woke up to. Suddenly, I heard someone yell.

Thermite/Ying:"Clear!"

Curious, I went to investigate. Suddenly, the sounds off flashbangs went off, followed by a single breaching charge. Then there was the sound of, hockey pucks? After that, multiple explosions went off in succession.

'I wonder what they're testing.'

I rounded the corner and froze. At the hall lied metal and cement everywhere. I looked to see that my room now had a second door. Not only that, all of the operators were all spread out in front of my now destroyed room. I saw IQ get up first.

IQ:"Oww. Why did I even let them do this?"

Ash:"Russians."

Glaz:"Cyka blyat! Shuhrat(Fuze), why did you use that?!"

Fuze:"No Reaper means-"

Sledge:"We get it, mate."

Doc:"Is everyone okay?"

Everyone announced yes.

IQ:"So what are we going to-"

IQ cut off when I dropped my cup of tea. It shattered on the ground loudly. Everyone stared at me in fear.

IQ:"H-Hey, Reaper. Umm- we were trying to talk to you, but things got out of hand."

I remained silent in shock.

Ash:"You're not mad, are you?"

Mad wouldn't be the term for it. Dumbfounded would fit better. Here I thought these people were the world's top operators, but they just blew up my entire room, only to talk to me. Then I remembered something and began to panic.

(Ash POV):

Suddenly, Reaper broke into a sprint towards us. Was he going to hurt us?

IQ:"Look, I can explain-"

He ran right past IQ and into the destroyed room. Reaper began to move rubble around. It looked like he was looking for something. He then pulled out a box from within the rubble. His body language showed him looking visibly relieved. Reaper glanced back at us, before walking out of the room. He walked past IQ again, but then stopped to look at her. IQ held up his jacket in fear.

IQ:"I-I have your jacket."

He stared at her silently for a second, and then took the jacket before leaving. We all watched him walk away silently.

Thermite:"I honestly thought he was going to kill us."

Suddenly, Six appeared around the corner.

Six:"I didn't authorize any explosive testing-"

She cut off when she saw our mess.

Six:"What did you all do?"

Every one of us pointed to Fuze.

Fuze:"Betrayed by my comrades."

Six looked scared.

Six:"D-Did he find the box?"

We got curious. Six was worried about Reaper finding a box?"

IQ:"Yes, why is the box so important?"

Six let out a sigh of relief. More emotion than any other time, I've seen her. Six then gathered herself and looked at us grimly.

Six:"I'm only going to tell you this because I do not want anymore seriously injured soldiers."

"What is it?"

Six:"The contents of that box are EXTREMELY valuable to Reaper. Under no circumstances are you to touch or open it."

Mira:"Okay. So he's got a few precious belongings."

Six:"You don't understand. The men who escorted Reaper here, nearly died because they tried to take away that box from Reaper. It was supposed to be a security check, but ended up horribly wrong. I had an infirmary full of injured men, and an operator who was nearly shot. Sometimes I think Reaper values the box more than his own life."

My eyes widened. All that for what's in the box.

Six:"Heed my warning."

She then left us again.

Dokkaebi:"Now I want to see what's in the box. Let's go investigate!"

Vigil:"I'm not joining."

The rest of the men agreed.

Dokkaebi:"Why?"

Smoke:"We like keeping what makes us a man."

Kapakan:"Or our lives."

The men then walked away.

Hibana:"Do we actually want to follow Reaper after what we've done?"

Zofia/Mira/Ying/Caveira/Frost/Valkyrie/Twitch:"Nope."

Hibana:"I agree too. I'm leaving."

Dokkaebi:"What?! We're about to find out information on Reaper!"

Twitch:"You can do that and tell us if you live."

Dokkaebi:"He wouldn't kill us, right?"

I looked around and saw everyone glancing nervously at each other.

IQ:"I guess we'll have to find out."

The other ladies left with the men to the dorms, while IQ, Ela, Dokkaebi, and I went to look for Reaper.

Ela:"I'm sure it's like my father's watch. Zofia highly values it."

IQ:"Maybe."

Dokkaebi:"It could be porn."

We all looked at her weirdly.

Dokkaebi:"Eliza, don't tell me that men don't hide their dirty stuff. You're in the FBI!"

"Yeah, but does Reaper look like he's into that kind of stuff?"

Dokkaebi:"He is lonely. A man has his needs like us women!"

We all blushed at the thought. Then quickly ignored Dokkaebi's suggestion and kept moving. We kept looking, but had no luck in finding him.

"Any ideas to find him?"

Dokkaebi:"I could track his cell phone."

IQ:"Would he carry a phone?"

Dokkaebi:"One way to find out."

She tapped several keys on her tablet. Suddenly, the Barbie girl song began to play somewhere.

???:"I'm a Barbie girl! In a Barbie world!"

Vigil:"Grace!"

His voice rang out angrily from the other side of the base.

Dokkaebi:"Oops. Wrong button."

She redid her code. Then we heard the sound of vibrations.

IQ:"That's his phone."

We walked in the direction of the sound. We arrived at the cafeteria and looked around.

Ela:"There!"

She pointed to a counter with a single phone vibrating.

"We found the phone, but where's Reaper?"

Dokkaebi:"Umm-girls-"

We turned to Dokkaebi. She was pointing behind us. I turned to see Reaper sitting with his legs crossed. He was stirring his drink, and a pistol sat on the table next to him. Next to the pistol was the box, and it was open.

IQ:"H-Hey, Reaper. I wanted to apologize for what happened."

He remained silent as always. Then he stood up, holstered his weapon, and walked away with his drink. We all watched him leave the cafeteria before rushing over to the box. When I looked inside, there was nothing.

Dokkaebi:"Aww man."

I guess Reaper took everything out before it could be discovered. I was about to speak, but Six's voice came onto the PA.

Six:"Would all operators report to the meeting room immediately."

We all looked at each other.

Ela:"Is this about the dorm incident?"

IQ:"I hope not."

The four of us then made our way to the meeting room.

(Y/n) POV:

I made my way to the meeting room. Along the way, my hand would occasionally pat my chest pocket. My priceless belongings remained safe, for now. soon, I arrived at the meeting room and opened the door. I was met with stares from the other operators.

Six:"Welcome Reaper. Please sit."

I went over to an empty seat far away from the others. Then I noticed IQ, Ash, Ela, and Dokkaebi staring at me.

Six:"Hello operators. We're here to discuss our next mission. Operation: Last Hope."

I raised an eyebrow. This mission was supposed to be for later.

Six:"Due to a recent intel gathering thanks to Mute, Tachanka, Buck, Pulse, and Mira, we have gathered enough info to launch an early attack on the White Masks. Up until now, we have been responding. This will be a major victory for Team Rainbow. However, before I can begin, IQ."

I looked over to IQ.

Six:"Will you be joining us?"

IQ looked at Six for a moment before turning to me. She and I locked eyes. Then IQ stood up. She pulled out her resignation papers and tore them to pieces.

IQ:"Does that answer your question?"

Operation: Last Hope

Objective: Eliminate the Lieutenant of White Masks. Retrieve data on White Mask operations.

Secondary Objectives: Capture White Mask if possible

Location: Unknown Thailand jungle

Team Leader: Capitao

Operators: Ash, IQ, Ela, Fuze, Echo

Back-up: Heaven's Reaper

Mission Status: Active

(Ela POV):

Fuze:"Easy mission."

"How so?"

Fuze:"Are there any hostages?"

Capitao:"No."

Fuze:"Easy. Blow everything up."

Echo:"We still need to retrieve data."

Fuze grumbled to himself. I looked over at Reaper. He had his hand on his chest. It was like that the whole time from the briefing to now. I was curious about why he was doing that, so I walked over and sat next to him.

"Hey."

Reaper shifted a little, but still kept his hand on his chest. This prompted me to reach for what I kept with me. A piece of my grandfather's uniform. I pulled it out of my jacket and stared at it.

"This is a piece of my grandfather's uniform. I always keep it with me, whenever I go into battle. It's like a good luck charm, and a way to honor my grandfather."

I then turned to face Reaper. He was now looking at my cloth. I had a feeling what he was gripping was something like I had.

"In your jacket, that's what was in your box, correct?"

He didn't reply, but his body language says it all.

"They meant that much to you, didn't they?"

Suddenly, the Chinook shook, and the sound of thunder boomed. I turned to my other teammates.

"What's going on?"

Ash:"Thunderstorm. A bad one too."

Echo:"Let's hope no lightining is around."

Just when he spoke, the entire front of the helicopter exploded. I fell out of my seat, but Reaper caught me.

Capitao:"Everyone, brace yourselves! We're crash landing!"

IQ:"If we crash at this altitude, we'll die!"

"Parachutes!"

We all grabbed the chutes beside us and strapped on. It would have been easy if the helicopter wasn't spiraling out of control. Just when I was about to get the last strap fastened, the helicopter jerked to the side. I was flung out of the helicopter.

Everyone:"Ela!"

My body flailed in the air. I tried to reach for the cord, but the parachute flung around crazily. The ground was approaching fast, and it seemed like it was my time. Suddenly, I felt someone grab me. My head turned to see Reaper diving beside me. He pulled me into an embrace and deployed his chute. The sudden decrease in speed jerked our bodies, but Reaper never let go. Unfortunately, a new problem appeared. Trees and sharp branches were in our flight path.

"Look out!"

A sharp branch approached. Suddenly, the chute was cut, and we began falling. I let out a scream, as we fell to our deaths. However, Reaper grabbed onto a branch. It snapped, and we continued our descent. Then he grabbed onto another tree. This time his hand held on. We skidded down the side of the tree, tearing up the bark before coming to a stop. Now the both of us were hanging several feet in the air. Adrenaline coursed through my body from the multiple near-death situations.

"Y-You okay?"

I looked up to see Reaper's hand bleeding. His arm was also covered in blood, but he made no sound. I quickly threw a rappelling rope onto a sturdy branch. It hooked into place, and I swung over. Then I looked back to see Reaper remain motionless.

"Reaper?"

Suddenly, his hand let go, and he began to fall.

"Reaper!"

I watched, as he fell down to the ground. He landed with a loud thud. I quickly descended down to check on him. My feet landed on the earth, and I sprinted over to his body.

"Stay with me!"

I went to remove his helmet, but a loud beep came from the helmet. My hands jerked back in surprise. Suddenly, a low robotic voice emitted from Reaper's helmet.

Helmet:"Life support system active. Please do not remove the helmet."

'Okay. That's strange.'

However, I didn't argue with the helmet. So I decided to treat the wounds on Reaper's arm and hand. While treating the wounds, I couldn't help, but notice the immense amount of scars Reaper has. This only adds to his entire mysterious self. After I finished, I tried to establish contact with other survivors.

"This is Ela. Anyone come in?"

Ash:"Ela? Thank goodness you're alright."

"Good to hear you too. Is everyone okay?"

Ash:"Yes. We're all okay, but Reaper is nowhere to be found."

"He's with me right now, but unconscious."

Ash:"What happened?"

She asked worriedly over the comms.

"He saved my life by catching onto a tree, but the wounds caused blood loss."

Ash:"Understood. Echo has picked up your location, and we're on our way."

"Got it. Over and-"

???:"Out."

I whipped around with my gun drawn, but it was instantly batted away. Then a foot made contact with my temple. I let out a grunt of pain and fell to the ground. My head was spinning, and faint cries of Ash from my comms rung.

Ash:"Ela? Is everything-"

Someone removed my comm. and spoke.

???:"Ela can't be with you right now. She's got some business to attend to."

Then whoever took the comm, crushed it. I opened my eyes slightly to see that Reaper and I were surrounded by White Masks.

Terrorist:"Bind them, and take them to the Lieutenant."

The other terrorists grabbed and bound me. I tried to struggle, but instantly was slapped. Tears welled in my eyes from the pain.

Terrorist:"Stop struggling, or we'll kill your friend here."

I reluctantly obeyed. The other terrorists bound Reaper and carried him. Then the White Masks began leading me to the Lieutenant. We walked silently for an hour or two. Soon, a large bunker came into view.

White Mask:"Open up!"

The bunker's door opened. The pressurized air let out with a hiss. When it fully opened, we all entered. I looked around to see White Masks everywhere. They were mass producing toxic weapons. One of the terrorists hit my back to tell me to move faster. After a few minutes of more walking, we reached a door. It opened to reveal a fancy room. The floor was carpeted, and a fire was in the fireplace. Sitting by the fire was a tall man in a suit. However, the rest of his body was hidden behind the chair.

???:"Welcome. Please come in."

I was shoved into the room, while the terrorist carrying Reaper tossed him onto the floor."

White Mask:"We found the two about 10km outside of our base."

???:"Just kill the others. It's Reaper that interests me."

The terrorist nodded and left. Now it was just this the mysterious man, Reaper, and I. The man stood up to reveal himself. He was in his mid-fifties. He was wearing a maroon suit, had grey hair, and a long scar running diagonally across his face. The worst part was his neck. It looks like it was cut up and had third-degree burns. He smiled creepily at me.

Syrius:"Hello, my name is Mark Syrius. Most call me, Syrius."

He then began pacing the room.

Syrius:"How I've longed to see the legendary Reaper at my feet. He looks so helpless right now. It could really hurt his reputation."

"What do you want?"

He looked at me in a little surprise.

Syrius:"Straight to the point. I would like to play a little game with Reaper here."

"Game?"

Syrius:"Yes, a game. You know, fun activities."

He then walked up to me.

Syrius:"And you are going to enjoy every moment."

He licked me on the lips. I reeled back in disgust and spit on him. He grunted in pain, while rubbing his eyes.

Syrius:"You bitch!"

"Fuck you!"

He punched me in the face, but I kicked him in the crotch. Syrius yelled out in pain and struck me across the face. This time he didn't stop. He continued to repeatedly hit me. Bruises began to form, and I coughed out blood. Suddenly, Syrius began to cough violently. This caused him to stop hitting me, as he stumbled backward. He then pulled out an inhaler and inhaled some medicine. This stopped his coughing, and he gasped for air.

Syrius:"Not again."

After his breathing returned to normal, he stood up scowling. Then Syrius pointed at Reaper.

Syrius:"This is all of his doing! I would not be crippled if it weren't for him!"

Curiosity filled my head. What did Reaper do? Syrius seemed to notice my expression.

Syrius:"Oh? Hasn't he told you yet? I certainly wouldn't if I was him."

Syrius let out a small chuckle.

Syrius:"Ela right? How does it feel to be kept in the dark all the time? I know it sucks to have Zofia and Six act all mysterious."

My eyes widened to his knowledge about me.

"How?"

Syrius:"Believe me. I have contacts in very high places."

"Who are you?"

Syrius:"I'm the Lieutenant of the White Masks, of course. And since you know my name now..."

He picked up a glowing hot fire pick.

Syrius:"We're going to play a game, you and I. It's not much fun without Reaper, so I'll wake him up."

He lifted the pick, ready to stab Reaper.

"Wait!"

Syrius froze.

"Don't hurt him. Hurt me instead."

Syrius:"Don't worry. I'll hurt you. I just want to torture Reaper by making him watch you suffer."

He swung his pick onto Reaper's head. However, it never made contact. Reaper grabbed the pick before it could hit him. My eyes widened in shock.

Syrius:"How did you-"

He was cut off by Reaper kicking Syrius down. Reaper took the fire pick from Syrius, and stabbed it into Syrius' leg. Syrius screamed out in pain, as Reaper kept twisting the pick into his flesh.

Syrius:"Please stop!"

Reaper didn't stop. Then Reaper crouched down next to Syrius and grabbed Syrius' arm. A sickening snap followed shortly after with a scream. Reaper broke his arm and began dragging Syrius over to a computer.

Syrius:"Stop please!"

Reaper yanked Syrius' hand violently onto a pad. A hum of a scanner reading the palm, filled the room. Suddenly, a beeping sound rang, and Reaper stuck a USB into the computer. Then he tossed Syrius' broken body away before walking over to me. Reaper removed my bindings and helped me up.

"Thanks."

Reaper walked back to the computer and removed the USB and began to walk to the door.

Syrius:"You can't beat us, Reaper! Or should I say-"

Reaper cut him off by throwing a knife into Syrius' arm. He screamed in pain, while Reaper walked over to his body. Syrius looked up at Reaper in fear.

Syrius:"Hey man, I'm just the messenger. I had nothing to do with-"

Reaper:"My father sends his regards."

Reaper pulled out a SIG P226 and shot Syrius in the head. My mouth dropped from hearing Reaper's voice. Then he tossed me an earpiece. I placed the comm into my ear, and Reaper began talking.

Reaper:"This is Reaper. What is your position?"

IQ:"Reaper?"

Ash:"Can anyone confirm?"

"This is Ela. I confirm. Reaper is actually talking."

I heard gasps from everyone on the radio.

Capitao:"We're currently outside the bunker. The place is crawling with White Masks."

Reaper:"The Lieutenant is terminated. We'll need a large distraction. Ela and I don't have enough ammo for a firefight."

Capitao:"Copy. I'll fire the incendiary arrows. Ash. Blow up that door with your launcher. Echo. Disorient the enemy to cover Reaper and Ela's escape. IQ. Covering fire. Fuze....you know what to do."

I heard Fuze chuckle on the radio.

Everyone:"Understood."

Capitao:"Mark!"

Loud explosions rang out from the other side of the hanger. I felt a tap on my shoulder and turned to see Reaper. He reached into his jacket and pulled out an IWI Jericho 941. He handed me the SIG P226 and an extra clip.

Reaper:"Only two clips total. Don't miss."

"Don't worry, I know how to handle these."

Reaper nodded, and the two of us exited the room.

(Y/n) POV:

I kicked open the door. The sound of automatic gunfire filled the air. Ela and I quickly snuck through the bunker. The team was doing a good job of distracting the enemy. I then heard loud footsteps approaching. My body instinctive covered Ela's.

Ela:"What are you-"

She was cut off with a loud explosion. The shockwave sent us flying into a wall. I hit the wall, but caught Ela before any actual damage. I looked to see the remains of a suicide bomber. Ela moaned in pain, and I gritted my teeth, as I got up. Blood dripped from my arm. I helped her up to her feet.

"Can you walk?"

Ela nodded weakly. I slung her arm over my shoulder and led her out. Occasionally, I heard Echo's drone go off. Concussing the enemy. Suddenly, more explosions rang out behind me. I peered behind to see the bunker erupting into flames. This place was coming down. I sped towards the exit with Ela. Along the way, she would shoot any terrorist that noticed us. We were a few steps from the exit, until I felt a sharp pain in my shoulder. Then another in my back, leg, and arm. I fell to my knees. Ela turned around and fired at the enemy. I blinked a lot to try and stay awake. A large pool of blood was forming at where I kneeled. Ela crouched beside me.

Ela:"Are you alright?"

I nodded and stood up. The two of us ran out of the bunker. A helicopter was hovering outside. In the helicopter was Tachanka mowing down the enemy with his turret. Lesion and Zofia were on the ground killing enemies. IQ noticed us.

IQ:"Over here!"

I saw everyone begin to board the helicopter. Ela and I ran to the helicopter, but I lagged behind. I was losing too much blood, and a bullet was still in my leg. Luckily, Ash and Ela turned back to help me.

Ash:"We got you."

They helped me onto the helicopter.

Capitao:"Pilot, go!"

The helicopter began to slowly rise. There was too much weight.

Pilot:"There's too many people!"

Ash:"We can't leave anyone!"

Suddenly, a red laser pointed on Ash's chest. A gleam went off in the distance, and I moved.

(Ash POV):

CRACK!

A sniper shot went off, and a something sprayed all over my face. It was blood. In front of me was Reaper. His body was facing me, as he covered me from the shot. Then another shot went off.

CRACK!

More blood erupted from Reaper's chest.

Lesion:"Sniper!"

Suddenly, Reaper began to fall backwards. I caught him before he could fall off.

"Reaper!"

He dangled aimlessly over the side of the helicopter. I could feel his grip weakening on mine.

"Don't let go! Someone help me pull him up!"

IQ went to pull Reaper up, but a bullet hit right next to her.

Capitao:"Let him go! He's dead already!"

"I'm not leaving Reaper!"

Pilot:"We need to go now! I got a missile lock on us!"

I looked back down and saw Reaper stick something into my vest. Then he began removing my hand.

"What are you doing?!"

He removed my last finger, and Reaper fell out of my grip. I screamed out, but everything was silent. His body fell into the spreading inferno, and the helicopter rose. A missile flew right past us, and we began to fly away. Reaper was now gone from my sight.

Pilot:"We're in the clear. Everyone accounted for?"

No one responded.

Pilot:"Hello? I kinda need to tell Six, or she'll-"

Zofia:"Just shut up."

She pointed her pistol at the pilot, and he shut up quickly. We flew for several minutes in silence before the pilot held out a headset.

Pilot:"It's Six."

Echo took the head set and linked it to our comms.

Six:"This is Six. Do you copy?"

Capitao:"This is Capitao. We copy."

Six:"Is the mission a success?"

Capitao:"Yes. Target is eliminated."

Six:"What about the data?"

Capitao turned to Ela.

Capitao:"Where's the data?"

Ela:"I don't have it. Reaper did."

I then remembered. I reached into my vest and felt three things. I pulled them out. One was a USB, and the other was a Jericho 941. The last item were dog tags. I gripped the gun and tags tightly.

Capitao:"We have the data."

Six:"Good. Mission accomplished."

'Yeah...mission accomplished...'

We arrived back at base after flying nonstop to be greeted by Team Rainbow and Six herself. The helicopter landed, and we all climbed out.

Six:"Well done, team."

Dokkaebi:"I knew you all could do it!"

We all were silent.

Dokkaebi:"Hey. What's wrong?"

IQ began sniffling. I fought back my tears. Six then frowned.

Six:"Where's Reaper?"

I silently held up my hand, and let Reaper's dog tags hang. Everyone at the base gasped. Six went wide eyed before letting out a depressed sigh.

Six:"Leave the USB at my office."

She turned and walked away. We all stood in silence. After a while, I began walking away.

IQ:"Eliza-"

I kept walking.

Thermite:"Eliza, wait."

I ignored everyone and made my way to my dorm. Before I reached my room, I came across Reapers. It was still in ruins. It brought back some tears, so I entered my room. I sat down on bed. Then I pulled out Reaper's pistol and dog tags. The pistol gleamed, as if it were new.

'A Jericho 941. Reminds me of home.'

I set the pistol down on my nightstand and read the tags.

'Heaven's Reaper: Name: (Y/n), Blood Type: O-'

"So you're name is (Y/n)."

Suddenly, someone knocked on my door.

IQ:"It's Monika and Ela."

I let out a sigh.

"Come in."

The door opened to reveal the two ladies. They entered my room and stood in front of me.

Ela:"How are you doing?"

I didn't know how to respond. I was still splattered in (Y/n)'s blood. IQ noticed the dog tags.

IQ:"May I?"

I held up the tags, and she took them. IQ read what it said.

IQ:"His name is, (Y/n)."

I nodded. Ela then walked to my nightstand. She picked up Reaper's pistol.

Ela:"Was this also his?"

"Yeah."

Ela brought out a SIG 226.

Ela:"This was his as well."

My eyebrows furrowed in confusion. Two different pistols. One is German and is used by the SEALs. The other is Israeli and used by Mossad.

Then Dokkaebi appeared at the doorway.

Dokkaebi:"Umm. Six wants to see you all."

We looked at each other. I then stood up, and IQ held out the tags.

"Keep it. I'm sure (Y/n) would have wanted you to have it."

She nodded and put the necklace around her neck. Ela then handed me the Jericho.

Ela:"I'm sure he would have wanted you to have this."

"Thank you."

I took the pistol and holstered it. Then the three of us followed Grace. She led us to the meeting room. We entered the room to see everyone waiting. Six was sitting at the table with a file in her hands. I sat across from Six, and she began to speak.

Six:"Reaper told me if he were to die, for me to show you his file."

She slid the file over to me. I took it and opened it. Everyone crowded around me and read. After a few minutes of reading and some tears, we all leaned back. His parents were Mossad and SEALs. That explains the pistols. Those mist have been his parents. Next was (Y/n)'s past. The things (Y/n) went through and did are horrible. As a child soldier.

Tachanka:"He was a comrade."

Thatcher:"I knew that poor bastard from somewhere. That wee lad."

Mira:"This boy...why..."

Montagne:"..."

Capitao:"I hadn't realized it was him..."

Caveira:"How do you all know, (Y/n)?"

We all turned to the older operators.

Tachanka:"Siberian takeover. General sent little boy to handle problem. Comes back with rebel leader's head."

Thatcher:"It was a bloody mess in London. Terrorists decided to play ball with the princess. Bloody command sent (Y/n) dressed as butler."

Dokkaebi:"What happened?"

Thatcher:"Kill every terrorists, and gave nightmares to the princess."

Mira:"Teenager rescues over 200 hostages and eliminates all hostiles."

Montagne:"Paris firefight. (Y/n) saved my squad's life multiple occasions with sniper cover."

Capitao:"(y/n) was with the US Marines. I was captured by cartel. (Y/n) was tortured like me. When the opportunity came, he broke everyone out. Then he slaughtered every cartel member."

Bandit:"I thought I had to deal with a lot."

IQ:"Why did these countries use him?"

Six:"He had more experience than most adult operators at a young age. With his age and size, he did things nonadult can."

Ela:"That doesn't excuse the use of children in war. It's a war crime."

Six:"That's why he was an unsanctioned mercenary. Never a true citizen of any country, or a soldier of any military."

Sledge:"He still deserves a proper send off of a soldier."

Six sighed sadly.

Six:"I know there isn't a body for (Y/n), so we'll do a search. However, the chances of finding anything are slim."

IQ:"Something has been bothering me."

We all turned to her.

IQ:"Why was this operation called, Last Hope?"

Six:"It was supposed to happen later on, but we  gathered new intel. Plus, Reaper was supposed to handle this."

"Why?"

Six:"It was supposed to be an unsanctioned mission. We were unsure of where White Masks were holed up. It could have been in a country where we didn't have permission to operate. Somewhere the White Masks had bribed higher ups."

Valkyrie:"So what now? We got the Lieutenant. Do we have the location of the White Mask leader?"

Six:"No. We do have intel on their future plans."

Six pulled out another folder.

Six:"You see, (Y/n) was supposed to undertake this next mission I had, but..."

We all knew why.

Six:"So that's why I need some of you to help me. There is a situation in New Mexico. It needs to be checked out to determine if Team Rainbow is required."

Without hesitation, I stood up.

"I'll do it."

Six let out a sigh of relief.

Six:"I'll send you the information later. In the meantime, the evening is to yourselves."

Six then left the room. We all sat silently mourning for our comrade. However, I dismissed my negative thoughts. I will keep on fulfilling my promise. To protect others. This time, for (Y/n).

(Third Person POV):

In a jungle in the middle of Thailand was destruction. The entire area was burned to ashes. Several fires still covered the area. No life could be seen for kilometers. However, there was a loud beeping in the middle of the burnt jungle. There could be seen, a half-buried helmet. Distorted computer voices emitted from the helmet.

Helmet:"Error! Condition: Critical. Life Support system is malfunctioning."

It kept repeating those statements into the air. Suddenly, a large figure stood by the helmet. He had (h/c) hair and (s/c) skin covered with ash. His body and arm were covered in ash and dried blood. He reached down and picked up the helmet. The visor was slightly cracked, but the helmet still looked operational. The man then slipped on the helmet.

Helmet:"Reanalyzing......Old User: (Y/n). Welcome back, Reaper."

(Y/n):"Status update."

The helmet hummed for a few seconds.

Helmet:"Vitals: Unstable. Recommending stim shot."

(Y/n) pulled out a syringe that looked like Doc's. Then he injected himself with it.

Helmet:"Vitals: Stable. Would you like for me to contact the authorities?"

(Y/n):"Negative. What's the status at Rainbow?"

Helmet:"Operator Ash, has been sent to New Mexico. Recent events suggest a new deadly infection."

(Y/n) went silent for a few minutes.

(Y/n):"What does the data from Syrius say?"

Helmet:"Analyzing..."

A few seconds passed.

Helmet:"White Mask scouts are sent to retrieve samples of infection. Shall I contact Six?"

(Y/n):"No. I'm operating in the dark for right now."

Helmet:"Understood. Terminating vital status."

The helmet beeped for a second and rebooted.

Helmet:"Operator 000 is deceased. New username?"

(Y/n) paused for a second. He looked around as the flames and ash surrounded him.

(Y/n):"Call me, Phoenix."
