Aleena: The life of a freedom fighter is hard and the sacrifices are many. In these dark days only an elite few live normal lives all because of one evil presence

The Sonic underground were at there hideout and Sonia was reading a letter

Serena: Hey Sonia! Hello?

Sonia: Oh sorry! What?

Serena: Cyrus wants to see us as soon as possible

She saw the letter

Serena: what are you reading?

Sonia: Oh nothing! Let's go!

The four of them made it to the freedom fighter base but Sonia walked ahead

Manic: Hey, man! What's bugging her?

Sonic: I'm guessing it's got something to do with that paper in her pocket

Serena: I got this

Serena stretched her robot arm and grabbed the letter out of Sonia's pocket without her noticing. Then the three of them read it

Sonic: What's a dee-but-on-tee?

Serena: it says 'debutante'

Manic: whatever it is it sure looks fancy!

Sonic: and it says Bartleby in charge! Yuck!

Serena: Oh come on not him again...

Sonia: Guys! Look at this!

Sonia pointed at a hologram of a giant ship

Cyrus: Take a look at Robotnik's new toy. He calls it the 'Predator'

Sonic: Looks like it's gonna be one mondo huge ship!

Cyrus: Fortunately for us some assembly is still required and an organically grown brain is the key component! Twelve hours from now it'll be mature

Sonic: He's putting a brain in a plane? Why?

Cyrus: To hunt Freedom Fighters.

Sonic: Then maybe we should hunt the brain

Serena: I can hack into ship and shut it down

Cyrus: It's not that easy Serena. That brain is genetically interwoven with a diamond-titanium composite so it's virtually indestructible. Once the brain is mounted it'll transform the ship into a living creature with an impenetrable skin!

Sonia: So how does this thing hunt?

Cyrus: It's equipped with a carbon seek unit which detects unroboticized people. There'll be no place to hide! It will travel the world capturing and bringing back Freedom Fighters to Robotropolis!

Sonic: Where he'll roboticize them!

Serena: We gotta stop it!

Cyrus: Since part of your body is a robot Serena the predator won't detect you. Thats why you should've the one to attach this to the ship

He held a metal bar

Cyrus: It's a biomechanical electronic override. It's called a 'sleeper'

Serena: so what does it do?

Cyrus: the sleeper will Assimilate and alter the molecular structure. Plant this on the ship before they install the brain and we control the Predator! You've got twelve hours. Think you can do it?

Sonic: Are chili dogs a basic food group?

Later that night Sonic Manic Sonia and Serena were right outside one of robotnik's factories

Sonic: Okay. Let's do it!

Sonia: Wait a minute Sonic. Let's recap. Now I set the explosives to make them think we're going after the brain

Serena: I was able shut down the camera's but only for five minutes

Sonic: Then when the bots go after you I tunnel underground then slap the thingamabob on the ship!

Manic: Then I can distract them so you two can escape!

Sonic: So can we get to it?

Manic: Remember when the light flashes it's time to spin!

Sonic: Outta here!

Sonic held onto Serena and ran off towards the factory

Serena: ok we have four minutes until securities back on

Sonic: that's more than enough time for me!

Suddenly a swat bot flew by holding Sonia

Serena: Sonia!

Sonic: We're coming Sis!

Serena: you go underground I'll take the high ground!

Sonic: On it!

Sonic used his spin dash to dig underground and Serena used her rocket boots to fly after the swat bots who landed in front of sleet

Sleet: Well well Sophie. Looks like you belong to us.

Sonia: Don't worry Slick. I'll be out of here in a Sonic second!

Serena was able make it to Sonia

Serena: You looking for a fight?!

She summoned her tambourine

Serena: Old man?!

Sleet: Old man?! Get her!

At that moment Sonic dug out of the ground right in front of sleet

Sonic: I bet you're wondering why I called this meeting!

Sleet: Priority one Hedgehog!

Sonic: Right here and at your service!

Serena: Have a nice trip! Literately!

Serena pushed Sleet down the hole sonic came through

Sonic: Don't you hate when that happens?

Suddenly the alarm went off and even more swat bots showed up

Sonia: I'll me!

Sonia summoned her keyboard and she played a few notes to create fog. The robots were confused and destroyed each other

Sonic: Alright! Now you do the brain we'll do the Predator!

Sonia: Got it. Where do I meet you

Sonic: Stay in there we'll come back for you

Serena: good luck!

Sonic held onto Serena and they made it to the predator

Serena: just one last step

Serena attached the sleeper to the ship which melts onto it

Serena: we got 60 seconds!

Sonic: Lets get Sonia and get out of here!

Sonic and Serena found Sonia in a lab

Sonic: Hey, sis!

Sonia: You ready to blow this popsicle stand?

Sonic: Considering the popsicle stand is about to blow the answer is yes!

Serena: we have 30 seconds!

The three of them made it out of the factory right when it exploded

Sonic: Mission accomplished! Let's beat feet!

Serena: we're cutting it way too close though!

Sonic: hey as long as we made it out alive right?

Manic: either way I'm outta here!

Sonia: Right behind you!

The four of them escaped the factory

The next day in their hideout Sonic Manic and Serena were talking about what happened

Sonic: I don't get it she could've super spinned out of there before any bot could lay a hand on her!

Serena: or used Sonia could've used keyboard just like always

Manic: Well let's ask her about it. But be cool! Don't get her... all crazed

Sonic: Cool? Hey that's my middle name

Serena: it's really not

Just then Sonia walked up to the three of them

Sonia: Mornin guys!

Sonic: Okay what the heck happened to you last night?!

Serena facepalmed

Sonia: What?

Sonic: How did those bots get their mitts on you?

Sonia: I don't know I guess I just let my mind wander and-

Sonic: Yeah! What's with that? Is this about that invite you got?

Serena: why do you want to go to the debutante thing anyway?

Sonia: Oh I... you wouldn't understand!

Sonia ran off crying

Manic: Gee I think that went well! Unfortunately we still don't know what's going on!

Serena: you're right but I might know who else to ask... even though I don't like him

Serena arrived outside Bartleby's mansion dressed as a gardener and was using leaf blower

Serena: this is going to be easy

Then Bartleby walked up to her

Bartleby: Excuse me! Hey! Stop and desist!

Serena turned off the leaf blower

Serena: have you ever heard of the word 'please'?

Bartleby: How dare you! Wait... Sabina?

Serena: my name is Serena and don't worry I'm not here to cause trouble. Believe it or not I need your help

Bartleby: very well come inside

They both walked inside his mansion

Bartleby: So what brings you here Sasha?

Serena: it's Serena. And I need you to come up with a way for Sonia to go to the debutante ball even though I don't get why she wants to go at all

Bartleby: Why it's every young girl's dream! The day she is officially introduced to society

Serena: either way do you have any ideas?

Bartleby: I always just saw you as a tomboy. I had no idea you possessed this level of sensitivity Sara!

Serena: Serena. Anyway Sonia is so distracted she was almost roboticized... also I want her to be happy because she's my cousin and I care about her. So can you think of any way for her to go?

Bartleby: As a matter of fact...

He held a mask over his face

Bartleby: I do!

Serena: Huh that might actually work

Bartleby: thank you Sofia!

Serena facepalmed

Meanwhile Sonic Manic and Sonia called Cyrus on the computer

Cyrus (on the computer): We cracked the code and we're testing for pilots. You guys wanna try?

Manic: Oh we're on our way!

Manic hung up and Serena came back holding a mask

Serena: Where are you guys going?

Sonia: Huh?

Serena: This is what all people are going to wear at the Debutante Ball

Sonia: Serena what did you do?

Serena: I didn't do anything. It was all Bartleby's idea. Now you can go to the ball and I'm going with you

Sonia: You did that for me?

Serena: yep and Manic helped! He stole the extra invite

Sonia immediately hugged Serena

Sonia: thank you so much cuz!

Serena: don't mention it

Sonia: Imagine me! Going to the Debutante Ball!

Serena summoned her tambourine and started playing it

Serena: you'll dance

Sonia and Serena started dancing while playing there instruments

Sonic Manic Sonia and Serena made it back to the freedom fighter hideout

Cyrus: To hijack the Predator and return the passengers safely it'll take alertness, agility and instinct

Sonic: No problemo!

Sonic put on a VR headset and held the controller

Cyrus: Don't forget you've got passengers on board so you've gotta maintain a safe angle and good flight attitude

Sonic: I've got a way cool attitude!

Serena: you sure you know what you're doing?

Sonic: Oh come on you know cuz!

Serena: yeah that's why I'm worried

Cyrus: All right let's start your run!

Sonic: Ready when you are!

Cyrus: And... go!

Cyrus started the simulation but Sonic crashes the ship pretty quickly

Cyrus: Aborting mission. Passenger injuries 100 percent! How about you give it a go Manic?

Sonic: Do it to it bro!

Manic put on the headset but also failed

Cyrus: 100 percent casualty rate

Sonic: Welcome to the club!

Manic: that cuts it. I'm ground bound

Sonia: Check right hold steady then descend!

Serena: well it was a good try

Cyrus: what to give it a go Serena?

Serena: Sure thing

She put on the headset and held onto the controller but failed as well

Cyrus: 90 percent casualty rate. Sorry Serena but if you pilot it's to risky

Serena: I'm good at a lot of things but piloting isn't one of them

Sonia was the last one to try the simulation and she put on the headset

Sonia: Check right hold steady then descend! Descend from mountain approach!

Sonia passed 100 percent

Cyrus: Perfect! I've never seen better! You're our pilot Sonia! Intelligence reports the Predator will return tomorrow night.

Sonia: But... the Debutante Ball's tomorrow night!

Manic: Sorry sis

Serena: I'm sure we can figure something out

Sonic: guess what I just did

All: Huh?

Sonic: Can you say 'secret passageway'?

That next night Serena made it to the ball wearing a mask and a fancy dress

Serena: Sonia should be here any minute now

Then Sonia entered the ball room with Bartleby also wearing a fancy dress and mask

Robotnik: Well who do we have here?

Bartleby: Oh this is my cousin from out of town uh... Serena!

Robotnik: Charmed

Serena: Oh now he gets my name right?

Announcer: Announcing Sir Bartleby of Dresdin and his cousin-

Sonia: Just a moment please

Sonia handed the announcer a piece of paper and he read it

Announcer: presenting Daughter of Queen Aleena Her Royal Highness... Princess Sonia!

Everyone in the crowd gasped and Sonia took off her mask

Sonia: Hello Buttnik!

Robotnik: Seize her!!

Serena: Oh well so much for a fancy party!

Serena summoned her instrument but then there was a bright light near the balcony

Sonia: Mother?

A small drone flew into Sonia's hands

Robotnik: Queen Aleena! Get her! And grab this one!

Serena: I don't think so!

Serena's robot hand became a grappling hook which she used to tie up robotnik

Robotink: No! I will be stopped!

Serena: yeah well neither will be baldy!

Then Sonic ran up to Sonia and Serena

Sonic: Gotta hand it to you both! You got guts. Now it's time to juice!

Sonic Sonia and Serena made it inside the passageway

Cyrus: Fifteen seconds!

Sonia put on the headset and grabbed the controller

Sonic: Activating override!

Cyrus: You're almost there! Safe hangar at Zero Two Zero bearing Niner Four!

Serena: you have three ships behind you!

Sonia: Okay turning around!

Sonia landed the ship back at the freedom fighter hideout

Cyrus: that's it! Mission accomplished!

All: Yeah! Alright!

Later that day Sonic Manic Sonia and Serena arrived back at their hideout. Sonia opened to drone she got earlier

Serena: what's inside?

Sonia held a heart shaped necklace

Sonia: Oh it's lovely!

Sonic: there's a letter to

Sonic handed Sonia the letter and she read it

Sonia: 'I wore this at my debutante ball. I'm so proud of you. Love Mother' thank you guys!

Serena: that's what family does

The four of them hugged each other
