Will You Marry Me?- Chapter 22

Will You Marry Me?

Chapter 22

“It’s a surprise, so you have to keep the blind fold on,” Draco laughed as Elizabeth pouted and gripped his arm as they got out of their limo. He couldn’t wait until she saw it.

“Come on Draco,” she whined, “I have had this thing on for an hour now. It was the weekend after Draco’s divorce was final and Draco had told her he had a surprise for her. She had laughed at him at first when he had told her she had to wear the blindfold, but he had been serious.

“Okay, you can take it off,” he helped her undo the knot on the back of the scarf he’d used to cover her eyes.

There in front of her was the house they were trying to purchase and in front of it was a sold sign. “Is it ours,’ Elizabeth asked in a whisper, hoping it was true.

“It’s ours, sweetheart,” he smiled, taking Elizabeth’s hand and placing a key in her open palm.

Elizabeth cried with delight and threw herself into Draco’s arms as he swung her around. They now had a home to call their own. “That’s not all,” he laughed as she placed kisses on his face, “Let’s go inside.” And he took her hand as they walked up the walkway to the front door, “Just a minute,” Draco stopped her before she opened the door. He scooped her up into his arms, taking her through the doorway like a new bride.

“It’s a little soon for that don’t you think,’ Elizabeth wrapped her arms around his neck lovingly, looking into his beautiful silver blue eyes.

“Maybe,” he kissed her deeply, still carrying her in his arms. He made his way through the house, going up the stairs first, “I have something to show you.”

They went to one of the bedrooms and once inside the bedroom Elizabeth was shocked by what she saw. Draco slowly let her down as she looked around, tears gathering in her eyes. The whole room was adorable. It was painted a light pink and in the center of the room was a beautiful white wooden baby bed all done up for a baby girl, complete with a beautiful mobile done with little animals spinning around and playing a lovely lullaby. There was white baby furniture throughout the room and pretty paintings hanging on the wall. And by the window was a lovely white rocking chair.

“Do you like it?” Draco looked at her hopefully, “If not I can always change it.”

“It is beautiful,” Elizabeth whispered with a shaky voice. This beautiful man had gone all out for the baby’s room, even though they still weren’t sure the baby wasn’t Derek’s. Well, at least she wasn’t sure. Draco on the other hand was positive it was his child. She couldn’t control the tears that started.

Draco pulled her into his arms, kissing her deeply, “Don’t cry, sweetheart,” he said when he broke the kiss, wiping the tears from her face with his hands and taking her face in his hands, “I know what you are thinking, but don’t. The baby is mine.”

Elizabeth hugged him tighter, her head resting against his chest. “But what if it’s a boy?” she asked him, looking up at him, her sea blue eyes glowing with love.

“That’s easy; we will just have to change the walls to blue. But I know it’s a girl,” he smiled at her and even Elizabeth believed he was right. “Come on, there is more,” Draco took her hand as they went through the house.

Draco showed her the room he had finished for Scorpius when he would be staying with them on his weeks with Draco. It was a room that any little boy would dream of having and Elizabeth could not wait until Scorpius came to stay with them.

Draco finally led them to their bedroom and Elizabeth was in for another surprise. There by the huge windows overlooking the beautiful back yard gardens was Elizabeth’s own things from her flat. It was just like she had left it. Her collection of art work and art supplies, even her collection of things from all over the world. The only thing that was different was the bed. Draco had purchased a new bed. A huge canopied bed, hung with sheer light ivory hangings around the bed. The bedding was silky ivory with several beautiful pillows covering the bed in jewel toned colors. It was all so lovely.

“You are the most gorgeous, loving, beautiful man ever,” Elizabeth wrapped her arms around his neck, kissing him deeply, her hands going into his silky platinum hair. Draco returned her kiss pulling her tighter against him, his hands going to her waist. He finally broke off the kiss and led Elizabeth over to the bed, having her sit down on the end.

Draco got down on one knee in front of her, taking her hands in his own, and placing a kiss on them before looking up into Elizabeth’s eyes, “I feel like I have been waiting forever for this moment,” he said clearing his throat, “Elizabeth, when I met you I was a very lonely person. I knew there was something missing in my life but I didn’t know what it was. But then a beautiful girl found herself in my arms and I couldn’t forget her. I tried, believe me I did. But I couldn’t stay away from her because she was like the missing link in my gloomy existence. I felt like she was put on this earth just for me and just being around her made me light inside. Elizabeth, I want to love you forever. To hold and protect you and treat you like you deserve to be treated. Elizabeth Marie Thorne, will you marry me?” and Draco took a ring box out of his pocket opening it to reveal the most beautiful, sparkling diamond ring Elizabeth had ever seen. Draco took her hand. Elizabeth couldn’t help the tears of joy that started running down her checks as Draco looked up at her, love shining in his eyes.

“Yes, Draco Malfoy, I will marry you,” Draco slipped the ring on her finger and laughed as Elizabeth threw herself into his arms, causing them to fall backwards onto the soft, thick rug behind them, “I love you,” Elizabeth whispered as her lips found his as she lay across him, “I could not imagine my life without you. You have shown me more love in such a short time since we found each other than I have had my entire life. Before I met you I didn’t know love could be like this. I was basically going through the motions, but then a beautiful prince pulled me into the safety of his arms and I knew then that we were made for each other. You don’t know how much you were in my thoughts after that first night we met. And I hoped every night that I would see you again and then you showed up and I was lost to you, despite the fact that I was engaged to another man. I couldn’t resist you. We were meant to be together,” Elizabeth kissed Draco lovingly, feeling his hands go into her hair as his kiss became more intense, just the taste of him for Elizabeth was addicting and she could never get enough.

Elizabeth felt Draco’s hands running down her back and onto her bottom as he caressed her. Draco turned them over until he was over her lightly, his kisses becoming more urgent. Draco got up on his knees over Elizabeth, “Why don’t we break that new bed in,” he said huskily, his hands running from her neck down between her breasts as he slowly started undoing the blouse Elizabeth was wearing. Soon he had Elizabeth stripped down to nothing as his hands ran along her naked body. Elizabeth started helping Draco undress and once they were both bare he picked her up carrying her to the bed. He lay her down in the center, using his arm to knock some of the pillows off the bed.

Elizabeth pulled Draco to her and she was ready for him as he slowly slid inside of her, making love to her slowly. Pulling out slowly until he was almost out of her only to plunge back into her, causing her to gasp with pleasure. Soon he had Elizabeth whimpering with pleasure, her nails raking his back “Please, Draco,” she cried as she felt the pleasure building until she thought she was going to perish from it. She captured his face and kissed him deeply, her legs wrapping around his hips as she pulled him deeper inside of her, causing him to moan. A few quick, deep strokes from Draco and they both exploded together, Elizabeth feeling him pulsing deep inside her.

Draco rolled over, not wanting to crush Elizabeth and pulled her into his arms, her head resting on his chest. He took her hand with his ring on it and kissed it gently. They were both still breathless from their lovemaking.

“So, when do you want to have the wedding?” Draco asked as he ran his hand down her hip.

“I don’t know, as soon as possible would be good,” Elizabeth said eagerly.

“This is your first marriage so you need to do it right. We just need to decide where to have the ceremony and you will want to pick your dress and all.”

“Draco, I would be satisfied with a quick wedding right now. I don’t have to have a fancy wedding,” Elizabeth assured him.

“Elizabeth, you deserve a beautiful wedding because this is your first. You know I would just be fine with making you mine, but think about it some before we decide. If I know my mother, she would kill us if we ran off and got married. She absolutely loves planning this stuff.”

“Okay, we will tell Narcissa first, but I want a simple, lovely wedding and I already know the best place,” Elizabeth sat up and opened the window above the bed. Draco pulled the covers around them from the cool, early April breezes as he held Elizabeth from behind as they looked out the open window overlooking their back yard. The gardens were lovely and starting to bloom, everything so green and lovely. Off of the stone patio were lovely gravel pathways that led to a huge beautiful fountain that was a statue of Venus, holding a lovely giant sea shell above her head as the water poured over her and sprayed out of the top of it. Just beyond the fountain was a lovely arch way covered in ivy, the arch leading to other paths through the gardens. “That is it,” Elizabeth pointed out, “We can do it there beneath the arch way. I want to have the wedding here at our home.”

Draco pulled Elizabeth to him tighter, his hand going to her stomach and lightly rubbing it, “I think it is great,” he kissed her neck softly from behind, “I just hope we can wait a little while longer because I cannot wait until you become Elizabeth Marie Thorne Malfoy.” Draco continued his assault on her neck and back until Elizabeth turned in his arms and soon they were making love again, this time in their own home with Draco’s ring on Elizabeth’s finger.

Narcissa was so happy for them when she brought Scorpius to stay with them that Sunday. Astoria had allowed her to bring Scorpius instead of bringing him herself. Scorpius was so happy that Elizabeth was with his father running and jumping into her arms after he hugged Draco. Scorpius loved the new house and his bedroom, exploring every nook and cranny. He had even brought his kitten, Rufus to stay with him when he was at Draco’s. Scorpius did not seem the least upset that his father was no longer with his mother and when Draco and Elizabeth tucked him in bed that night they both hugged him goodnight, telling him they loved him.

“Elizabeth, I am glad you are going to be my new mommy,” Scorpius was only five, but he was very smart and grown-up for his age, “you make daddy smile and me too. I love you,” he yawned sleepily, “I love you too, Daddy.” Draco kissed his check, and he and Elizabeth slowly left the room.

“He is so precious, Draco,” Elizabeth could feel herself getting emotional, which was not unusual for her lately, “You are so lucky to have such a beautiful boy.”

“We are lucky,” Draco said taking her hand as they went back to their bedroom, “You are our family now, Elizabeth.”

“By the way,” Draco said as they got ready for bed, “Mother will be coming to keep Scorpius here at the house during the week.”

“Really, why would she do that?”

“Because I start to work tomorrow,” Draco saw her surprise, “I will be traveling with you to the Ministry. I start to work there tomorrow.

“Oh, Draco,” Elizabeth hugged him happily, “this is wonderful news.”

Draco wasn’t so sure, but he was going to give it a shot working at the Ministry of Magic. After all, he had a family now and he had to think of them and making life better for them in the Wizard World.
