Poisoned Magicks
Garroth's pov
After looking at my reflection I decided I shouldn't freak out about it and I should just focus on finding Aphmau. I sighed and ran into an alleyway. It led down a long path into a street with a lot of houses. I looked around and felt hopeless. This place is so big, how does Lucinda expect me to find Aphmau? This place is way to big. I groaned and ran to one of the houses.
Maybe if I asked if anyone knows a person named Aphmau. I knocked on the door of a little yellow house and a lady answered the door. "Can I help you?" She asked and I said "Is there anyone who lives around here by the name of Aphmau?" I asked and the woman nodded. "Actually yes. She lives over there." The lady pointed to a house across the street.
I thanked her and ran to the house. I knocked on the door and I was greeted with two familiar faces. I froze and stared at the two little boys. "Yes?" The one boy who looked like Malachi asked. "I-Is Aphmau home?" I asked a little flustered and he shook his head. "No, she just left." Malachi said and I sighed. "Okay thank you." I said as I hurried off.
She just left so maybe she is still around here somewhere. I looked everywhere but couldn't find Aphmau. The sun was starting to set. I only had maybe an hour left to find Aphmau. As I was walking back to the park I kicked a rock and put my hands in my pockets. I was walking back to the portal when I saw Aphmau....and the Garroth from this world.
"Aphmau!" I yelled out with tears in my eyes. I don't remember much what happened but I do remember a lot of talking and the warmth of Aphmau's hand in mine. I woke up and looked around. I was in Lucinda's house and I heard her yelling "Laurence! Get the potions quickly!" I saw Laurence rushing from one side of the house to the other. I slowly sat up and grabbed my head.
A sharp pain ran through my head and I blinked a few times. "Garroth! Good, you're awake. We need help!" Lucinda said very worried and I stood up. Aphmau was laying on the bed and she looked pale. "Aphmau!" I yelled and ran to her. "What is wrong? Is she dying!?" I yelled and and Lucinda said "The sword that stabbed Aphmau was poisoned and the poison is protected by a very strong barrier"
I looked at Aphmau's sleeping face and then remembered Zoey. "Maybe Zoey can help!" I ran out of Lucinda's house and saw Zoey walking with Levin and Malachi. "Zoey! We need you to lift a barrier." Zoey followed me to Lucinda's and we went inside. When Zoey saw Aphmau she froze. "Please Zoey, there is poison in Aphmau's blood that is protected by a barrier. Please...please help her." I begged.
Zoey nodded and walked to Aphmau. Zoey started to lift the barrier but then she looked like she was in pain. "Zoey!" Lucinda yelled when Aphmau and Zoey started to glow. When the glow faded Zoey was on the ground and her hair turned a very pale blonde. After an hour of waiting, the color in Aphmau's face came back. Zoey was now awake and I asked "What happened to your hair?"
She smiled sadly and said "I gave up my immortality."
