Garroth's pov

After that incident Nicole sent word out to her father and a giant war erupted. Phoenix Drop won but we were left with many damages. Zoey had taken all of the kids to New Meteli along with Cadenza but returned after the war. Now for Aphmau.......her wounds were severely bad but Lucinda treated them with powerful potions. Aphmau still hasn't woken up though. She has been asleep for three days now.

I stood at her bedside and she looked troubled in her sleep. What is she dreaming about? "Aphmau.....why would something like this happen right after our wedding?" I asked in a shaky voice. I was afraid of loosing Aphmau.......I already have too many times. I smiled at her and wiped away the tear in my eye. "Don't worry, I'll be here for you when you wake up." I said before going back outside.

Aphmau's pov

I woke up and everything was blurry. I was in a white room and I could hear the sound of beeping and people talking. "Doctor, how much longer will she be in this state?" A faded voice said. It was a mans voice but....it sounded familiar..where am I? I couldn't see anything. Everything was so blurry and white. Then, I closed my eyes and opened them, I saw a familiar room. I was in my bed.

Garroth's pov

"Daddy!" Levin yelled. I set the stone down that I had been carrying and saw Levin come running. "Mommy's awake!" Levin yelled and I ran and grabbed him. "I'll be back Dale!" I yelled and ran with Levin back to Aphmau's house. I ran upstairs and saw Aphmau sitting up in her bed. I smiled at her and she looked at me. "Garroth!" She yelled and tried to get up but grimaced in pain.

"Aphmau! Take it easy. You're still not quite healed yet." I said worried. I walked up to her and hugged her. "I'm so glad you safe Aphmau.....I thought I lost you again." I said as I hugged her tight. "G-gar.....can't breath." She squeaked and I let go. "Oh! Sorry." I said and hugged her softly. "I'm sorry for making you worry." Aphmau said as she hugged me back.

"What all happened Garroth?" Aphmau asked and I started to explain. It took longer than expected and Aphmau looked at me about ready to cry. Zane broke two of my ribs and my arm. I almost forgot that I had a cloth wrapped around it and tied to my neck. "Are you okay?" Aphmau asked as she lightly touched the bruise on my cheek and the cut on my lip.

"I'm fine just some bruises." I said with a reassuring smile. Aphmau then looked troubled. "What's wrong Aphmau?" I asked and she looked at me. "Can't you hear that?" She asked and I was confused. "Hear what?" I asked and Aphmau looked at me shocked. "You don't hear the beeping?" She asked and I shook my head. "What beeping?" I asked as I pit my hand on her forehead checking for a fever.

"I swear Garroth. I can hear something beeping." She said in a scared voice. "I don't hear anything Aphmau." I said and held her hand. "I-I'm not going crazy am I?" Aphmau asked concerned. I laughed and said "You are not going crazy Aphmau. You probably just need rest." I said and she nodded. "Y-yeah......rest." She mumbled. Aphmau slowly started to stand up.

"Mommy!" Levin yelled as he saw Aphmau. "Hi baby." Aphmau said softly as she balanced herself. "Ah, I'll get some more medicine. Levin, watch over your mom."
