Chapter 1: Run Away

A/N: Haha, surprise~! It's moi! Nessie! Aah, I'm so glad I decided to redo this fan fic. This has made me so much happier now that the plot I set up for this story makes a whole lot more sense now.

So, to all my readers-- new and old-- I hope you all enjoy this new, updated and editted version of my old story. And I hope you all learn to love this story as much as I loved to write it.

But enough with my chit chat, it's time to get on with the story!

You ran away from the abandoned warehouse hidden in an unknown area as small tears gathered at the corners of your (E/C) eyes, the sound of your father's gun cocking and shooting him fresh in your mind. You shook your head as you continued running off to God knows where as the shouts of your father's men echoed behind you.

Full of anger and grief, you continued running as the bright light of the full moon lit your way into the streets of London.

Throughout your run, you ran just about everywhere and anywhere in zig-zags through the desolate streets, trying to get the henchmen off your tail.

But after running for God knows how long, you managed to outrun your dad's lackeys-- which, in and of itself was a miracle-- as you hid in a dark and secluded alleyway on the shadowed side of a dumpster. You placed a trembling hand over your mouth to silence your labored breathing as you hid, listening to the thundering footsteps that had tried to follow you. Adrenaline coursed through your body-- the sound of your heart pounded in your ears as the footsteps grew more distant until it was no more.

You waited and listened to see if they would come back, but they fortunately didn't. Taking a second to re-evaluate the situation, you allowed yourself to relax and take in some much needed oxygen. You leaned against the wall as you slid down onto the cobblestone pavement, finally realizing how tired you were as the adrenaline left your system.

As you sat on the dirty floor, you froze as you recalled the events that just took place. Your shoulders tensed as you remembered the look of fear that crossed his face and how his blood seemed to have splattered everywhere. You gritted your teeth as you released a choked sob, with you curling up into a ball and crying quietly into your arms.

After mourning the death of your best and closest friend for what felt like hours, you passed out and fell into a dreamless sleep.

~~~~~~~
Slowly, you blinked your tired eyes as you woke up from your slumber. You rubbed at your eyes, trying to rid them of the crust that built up overnight as you slowly stood up, brushing any dirt or dust from off your jeans. You released a small yawn as you stretched your sore body, wincing slightly from the pain as you heard a familiar popping sound coming from your back.
You licked your chapped lips as you decided to take in your environment. To your left was the dumpster you hid next to, and to your far right was a brick wall. You blinked owlishly as you then turned to look up into the sky. It was painted an array of pastel colors as the sun was slowly coming up, the air somewhat cool and calming with the clouds slowly floating by, the total opposite of you: tense, scared, and anxious.
You pursed your lips as you walked a little ways from the dumpster and neared the opening of the alleyway. Peering out anxiously, you watched the few cars that passed by as you finally realized that you had no clue where you were. A small frown graced your lips as you placed a hand to your stomach, feeling it rumble in hunger.
You shut your eyes and let out a deep sigh as you leaned against the wall opposite of the dumpster. "I should keep going. Knowing father, he'll look through every nook and cranny in England just to find me, his only heir." You mumbled quietly to yourself as you opened your eyes and walked out into the open.
For the rest of the day, you walked around aimlessly, ignoring the strange looks people would give you as they eyed your dirty attire, hiding a few times when you got the feeling you were being watched.
When the day became darker and the sun began to set, you decided to camp at another alleyway for the night, hoping your father wouldn't find you.
You slid down the side of the building as you settled down on the cold hard floor of London. Letting out a sigh, you leaned your head against the wall as you imagined what kinds of actions your father was taking to find you. You gripped your hand tightly as you curled up into a ball to preserve some warmth for the cold night. You grit your teeth slightly as your mind wandered, taking a somewhat dark path as you shut your eyes wondering what it would be like if you were born into a different life, away from death and drugs and other gang-related things.
As your mind took off in all directions, you were suddenly brought back to reality as a wolf whistle startled you from your stupor.
Surprised and terrified, you jumped and stood up from where you sat with wide eyes and turned to the direction from where that noise came from, thinking your father's men had found you. But instead, it was a stranger with dark brown hair and hazel eyes standing at the entrance of the alleyway, his face flushed and his posture sloppy. His eyes scanning your figure with hazy eyes as a weird smirk appeared on his face. "Well, wouldja look at that! Looks like I found myself a lovely looking lady." The brunette slurred as he stepped forward with you taking a step backward.
Fear began to enter your system as you realized the situation you were in. Your eyes widened as the drunk man grew closer, with you stepping backwards once again. The stranger noticed this as his smirk changed into an amused grin. "Aye, what's the problem little lady, are you scared?" He chuckled as he stared into your fearful eyes with his lust-filled ones. "Ohoo, don't worry my lady, I'll take extra good care of you."
Your breath hitched in your throat as your back hit a brick wall, your muscles tensing and freezing in fear as your brain went into a frenzy having no idea what to do. The man smirked once again, the moonlight illuminating his lustful expression as he stopped right in front of you. He placed his arms next to your head as he leaned down close to your right ear, whispering huskily, "So, how's about you and I go and have a bit of fun, eh?"
You gagged at the smell of alcohol coming from his mouth as your mind blanked and went into fight or flight mode. Immediately, memories of those self-defence techniques your father taught you entered your mind as you kneed the drunken Brit in his famiy jewels. He keeled over in pain as you elbowed him in the back of the head, effectively knocking him to the ground. Quickly, you jumped over his hunched over body as you ran out the alleyway to nowhere.
Once again, you ran and ran, trying to rid your mind of the fact that a man years older than you tried to get into your pants. You paused after running for a little while and took in deep breaths of air as you looked around you. As usual, you had no idea where you were.
Suddenly, the wind began picking up as the familiar glow of the moon no longer shined down on you. You looked up at the sky with furrowed brows as the clouds turned dark gray, blocking the moon as the winds continued to pick up pace. At this you frowned and shivered at the feeling of the cold gust as you pulled your large jacket closer to your body.
You walked forward, choosing to go looking for some kind of shelter before the environmemt became worse, but paused once more when you felt a small drop of water fall onto your head. Your frown deepened as let out a sigh. More followed, raining lightly before it turned into a full on downpour.
You growled angrily as you began to run around blindly, not even caring if anyone or your father's henchmen found you. Not that it mattered at the moment as the streets were devoid of any life. You were hungry, you were scared, and you were tired. You stopped and looked up at the darkened sky, your (E/C) eyes narrowed as tears gathered in them. With your teeth barred, you yelled into the sky.
"What more do you want from me?! You already killed off my best friend!"
You then dropped to your knees as your tears fell from your eyes with no signs of stopping. You sniffled as you gripped your hands tightly. "Why don't you just kill me off too. I don't have a reason to live anymore, anyways." You muttered quietly, your tears and the rain blurring your sight.
You sat there on the pavement of wherever in England, your clothes long having been drenched by the rain as your head hung low, your eyes blinking slowly.
Your head was pounding painfully as your breathing turned shallow, your lips turning from their usual color to a shade of indigo.
You shut your eyes as your body was slowly growing numb from the cold and the rain. It wouldn't surprise you if you had gotten hypothermia or something from being out in this kind of weather.
As you awaited for what you hoped to be your demise, you heard a voice calling out to you.
"Hello? Who's there? Ah- what the bloody hell?! Are you alright?!"
'Huh?' You moved your head upward to look at the stranger calling out to you. You rubbed the tears and rain out of your eyes before they widened when you saw an average looking male with emerald green eyes, beach blonde hair, and large eyebrows dressed in a dress shirt, dress pants, a vest, and a coat rushing towards you with an umbrella in hand.
But as the blonde male neared you, your eyesight blurred as you suddenly felt dizzy. 'Eh-'
Your eyes suddenly shut-- your mind shutting off as you were thrust into an eternal pit of darkness, being thrown into yet another dreamless sleep.
HELLOOOO READERS!
How was that for a first chapter? Not bad for someone trying to get back into the feel of writing, even if it is pretty short. But, do no fret, the chapters will slowly get longer and longer. And hopefully, my fingers will be able to last by that time.
Alas, school has already started for me so future chapters will be delayed by a lot. (Stupid school systems and the homework) Especially so as I enter my last year of middle school, 8th grade. Oh, how I've grown from an angsty 6th grader to a somewhat less angsty 8th grader. (Pfft, not much of a difference lmao)
But enough with my rambling (jeebus I do that a lot in these Author's notes), I hope you enjoyed that chapter and look forward to future chapters as well. (I also apologize if there are any grammatical errors but eh I'll fix em later)
Hasta la pasta!~
