I opened my eyes to a blue sky and a gentle breeze. Someone was running their hands through my hair, but I was too woozy to distinguish their features.

"It's alright, Uma. Everything's alright." A voice whispered gently. The person waved a hand over my face and I could finally see them clearly.

At that moment in time, everything came back to me full force. I jumped away from the man, growling at him.

"Salovan, I told you not to mess with the system! And what do you do? MESS WITH THE SYSTEM." I turned my back to the King of Demons and looked around, "Where are we at anyways? You know Triton will be mad at the delay."

Even though we were in the middle of a field, there was a bed beside us and a table that had a bottle of wine accompanied by two wine glasses. I looked back at the smirking angel of death with a raised eyebrow.

"Don't tell me you brought me here to have sex with me." I deadpanned. I turned back around to see Salovan's face softening before morphing into a smirk.

"Is that how much you trust me?" He asked.

"Yes. You are the King of Demons, after all." I replied before sitting on the bed, running my hand over the silk sheets.

"You know that's just my title, Uma. When the Allfather created us at the beginning of time that's the position he assigned us. You know I can't change it even if I wanted to. He'd make me King of something or have me do something pertaining to death."

As he said this, he started to walk over to where I was sitting and leaned over me.

"And I would still love you."
