The wheels on the gurney rushed through the hospital as my brother was pushed down the hall. "Henry, can you hear me?" Emma asked. "Come on, Henry. Wake up, please. Come on, Henry. Come on. You can do it," I pleaded as my brother laid lifeless in front of me.

We reached the room that Henry was going into and a lady stopped me and Emma. "Let me take you-" she started. "No! I am not going anywhere!" I screamed. I ran with Henry's gurney as Emma followed quickly behind. Dr. Whale went up to Henry and started checking him.

"There's no pupil response. What happened? Did he fall? Hit his head?" Dr. Whale asked. "He ate this. I think it's poisoned," Emma said as she handed Dr. Whale a bag with the leftover turnover in it.

"His airways clear. Did he vomit? Any convulsion or disorientation?" Dr. Whale asked. "He took a bite of this and then he just collapsed. So, run the test for arsenic, or bleach, or Drano, or whatever could've done this to him," Emma demanded.

"This boy is showing no symptoms that would suggest neurotoxins. So, whatever's going on, this is not the culprit," Dr. Whale said. "Well, what else could it be?" Emma asked. I watched Henry, hoping he would wake up. That stupid apple and the curse...

"I don't know. That's what I'm trying to find out," Dr. Whale told us. "He's going to be okay, though, right?" I asked in a whisper. I felt a tear roll down my face. "Right now, we just need to stabilize him, cause he's slipping away. Is there anything else you could remember? Any little detail?" Dr. Whale asked us.

"We already told you everything! Do something!" I screamed as more tears rolled down my face. "Henry, please just come back to me," I cried in a whisper. "Look, I understand you're frustrated, I do. But I need something good to treat. And, right now, there is no explanation. It's like..." Dr. Whale trailed off.

Emma quickly grabbed the book out of Henry's bag. "Like magic," Emma whispered. Just then, Mom came rushing in. "Where's my son? And my daughter?" She asked worriedly. "You did this," I growled. Emma grabbed Mom and dragged her away. I didn't want to watch them fight. I was only worried about Henry.

I watched as he was hooked up to machines. I grabbed his lifeless hand and whispered, "Don't worry, Henry. I'll save you." Emma and Mom rushed out and I quickly followed them. "Where are you going?" I asked. "Something that doesn't involve you," Emma told me. "Go back to the hospital and watch over you brother," Mom demanded.

"No," I said. They both stopped and turned to me. "Did you just say no to me?" Mom asked. "What do you think?" I asked as I glared at her. This was her fault that Henry was in the hospital about to die. I made a promise to Henry that I would save him and I intend to keep that promise.

Mom glared at me and was about to say something when Emma said, "Fine, you can come along." I smiled at her and we went to Mr. Gold's Pawn Shop. "Do my eyes deceive me, or is that the look of a believer?" Mr. Gold asked as we walked in.

"We need your help," I said. "Indeed, you do. It seems quite the tragic ailment had befallen our young friend. I told you, magic comes with a price," Mr. Gold said as he looked at Mom. "Henry shouldn't have to pay it," Mom snapped.

"No, you should, but alas, we are where we are," Mr. Gold sighed. "Can you help us?" Emma asked. "Of course. True love, Miss Swan... The only magic powerful enough to transcend realms and break any curse. Luckily for you, I have happened to bottle some," Mr. Gold said.

"You did?" Mom asked. "Oh, yes. From strand of your parents' hair. I made the most powerful potion in all the realm. So powerful, that when I created the dark curse, I placed a single drop on the parchment. Just a little safety valve," Mr. Gold explained.

"That's why I'm the savior. That's why I can break the curse," Emma whispered. "Now you're getting it," Mr. Gold smiled. "I don't care about breaking the curse. All I care about is saving Henry," I said. "Which is why it's your lucky day. I didn't use all the potion. I saved some... For a rainy day," Mr. Gold smirked.

"Well, it's storming like a bitch. Where is it?" Emma asked. "Where it is isn't the problem. Getting it is what should worry you," Mr. Gold said. "Enough riddles. What do we do?" Mom asked. "You do nothing, it has to be Miss Swan," Mr. Gold said.

"He's my son. It should be me," Mom said. "All due respect, but it's her son. And it has to be her. She's the product of the magic. She must be the one to find it," Mr. Gold argued. "I can do it," Emma told us. "Don't trust him," I said. "What choice do we have?" Emma asked.

"That's right, dearie. What choice do you have?" Mr. Gold mimicked. "Where is this magic?" Emma asked. "Tell me, Your Majesty, is our little friend still in the basement?" Mr. Gold asked. "Oh, you twisted little imp. You hid it with her?" Mom asked.

"Oh, no, no. Not with her. In her, I knew you couldn't resist bringing her over," Mr. Gold smirked. "Who is 'her'?" I asked. "Someone your mom should be prepared for. Where you're going, you're going to need this," Mr. Gold said as he handed Emma a sword.

"What is this?" Emma asked. "Your father's sword," Mr. Gold smiled. We left without a word and went to the hospital. Emma walked up to Henry and placed the book next to him. "Henry... You and Ava were right about the curse. I should have believed you two. I'm sorry," she whispered.

She kissed his forehead and went to talk to Regina while I talked to Henry. "I don't know if you can hear me, but if you can, you have got to stay strong. Stay alive until we get back. I need you Henry, you've been by my side since day one. I don't know what I episode do without you. I... I love you, Henry," I cried. I kissed his forehead and wiped away my tears.

I walked into the hallway while Mom talked to Henry. I ran up to Emma and hugged her. She hugged me while I cried into her arms. I wiped away my tears as Emma said, "I had to go do something. I want you to wait for your mother and walk with her." I nodded and Emma left.

Not that much later, Mom walked out. We walked to the library together where we met Emma. We walked inside and Emma asked, "What is this place?" "Would you like a tour, or shall we just get to it?" Mom asked. "Lead the way," Emma told her. We followed Mom to an elevator.

Mom placed her hand on it and it opened. "Whoa," Emma whispered. "Get it," Mom said. "After you," Emma told her. "It's a two-man job. The elevator's hand-operated. I have to stay up here and lower you down," Mom explained.

"And I'm supposed to trust you?" Emma asked. "I don't think you have much choice in the matter, Miss Swan," Mom argued. "This battle I'm supposed to fight... Who is it? What is down there?" Emma asked. "An old friend," Mom answered.

"Then why don't you go talk to them?" Emma asked. "Because her punishment here was different than everyone else's. I trapped her... In a different form. She doesn't want to hear from me. You have to trust me on that," Mom said.

"Okay. I will go down there. But let's be clear about something... Your Majesty. The only reason you're not dead is because I need your help to save Henry. He dies? So do you," Emma said. "Well, then let's get on with it. Now, this is what you're going to have to do," Mom told her.

Emma entered the elevator and I followed her. "Woah, woah, woah. What do you think you're doing?" Emma asked me. "I'm coming with you," I said. "You can't," Emma told me. "Why not?" I asked. "I need you to stay safe. In case I don't make it bald up, I need you to find a way to save Henry. Just listen to me this once, okay? I love you, Ava," Emma said.

I hugged Emma and she hugged me back. "I love you too," I whispered. I pulled away and said, "Just promise me that you will make it back." Emma nodded and I got out of the elevator. Mom lowered her down and as soon as she was down Mom said, "I'm sorry."

"Sorry doesn't change that my real mother is down there fighting whatever that is and that my brother is about to die," I told her. We stood in silence until we heard Emma tell us to pull her up. We started to until we were suddenly gaged and tied to chairs.

I looked up and saw Mr. Gold. He leaned over the shaft and asked, "Miss Swan? You got it?" "Mr. Gold. What are you doing here?" I heard Emma ask.

"I've come to check on you. I'm glad I did. Ava and Regina abandoned you and sabotaged the elevator," Mr. Gold said. What?! I struggled to get free but nothing happened.

"What? I'm coming up," Emma said. "Now, there's... There's no time for this. You can't possibly scale the wall and carry that," Mr. Gold said. "Yeah? Well I can try," I heard. I heard noises that sounded like Emma was trying to get up.

"No, you can't. Just toss it up. You boy's going to me fine. I promise. We're running out of time. Toss it up," Mr. Gold said. No, Emma, don't.

"You hold on to it. I'll be right up," I heard and the next thing I knew Mr. Gold had an egg in his hand and was running out of the library. "Mr. Gold? Gold!" I heard. All of a sudden, Emma appeared. "Ava. Regina," she said.

She took out the gags and untied us. "He tricked you! How could you give him that?" Mom asked. "Where is he?" Emma asked. "Gone. Gold. He manipulated all of this," I said.

"Come on. He can't be that far," Emma said. Their phones went off and Emma looked up scared. "It's the hospital," she said. We ran to the hospital as fast as we could. Dr. Whale stood in front of Henry's room. "We did everything we could," he said. "I'm sorry. You're too late," Mother Superior told us as she walked up.

I ran past them and into the room. I ran to Henry's side and tried to wake him up. "Henry, come on. Please, Henry," My eyes filled with tears and I felt someone tap my shoulder. I turned and saw Mom. "Ava-" she started but I cut her off. "You did this! Why did you have to run my life? My brother is now dead! And it's all your fault!" I screamed.

I turned to Henry and I felt a single tear roll down my face. It splashed down and onto Henry. I wiped it off and kissed where it had been on his cheek. "I love you, Henry," I whispered. Suddenly, Henry sat up, gasping for air.

"I love you, too. You... You saved me. Ava, you saved me," Henry said. I ran up to him and hugged him. I held onto him until I heard a commotion around us. I turned and saw people gathering around. "Henry... Ava... What's going on?" Emma asked. "No," Mom whispered.

"Ava... She broke the curse," Henry said. "But, but Emma was supposed to. Why would I... Why?" I asked. "That was true love's kiss," Mother Superior said. "No, no..." Mom whispered.

"If I were you, Your Majesty, I would find a place to hide," Mother Superior said. "Ava, Henry, no matter what you think, no matter what anyone tells you two, I do love you," Mom said before she quickly left the room.

"I don't understand, Emma was supposed to be the savior..." I told Mother Superior. "That's what I thought too but something about you two..." She trailed off and quickly walked away.

"Kids... What's going on here? If the curse is broken, why didn't they go back?" Emma asked. "I... I don't know," we whispered. A loud noise was heard and we turned to see a nurse staring out the window with a tray on the ground besides her.

"Are you okay?" Emma asked. She suddenly looks outside and Henry and I do too. Purple smoke is seen coming this way. "What is that?" Emma asked.

I turned to Henry and then to Emma and said, "Something bad."
