Chapter Nineteen: Escaping!

"Shadow Bind Technique (影縛りの術, Kageshibari no Jutsu)!"

Shikamaru Nara shouted once he finished off the last of the clay animals Deidara threw at him. His shadow stretched towards the giant bird's and immediately binded them together.

'Fuck this!' The blonde Akatsuki member thought and jumped off the bird. In mid air, he molded a lump of explosive clay into flying insects that directed to the ANBU strategist. He smirked and made a hand sign,

"Katsu!"

And just like that, the insects detonated.

Deidara landed on top of a building and used his scope to search for the brunette. Suddenly, senbon needles from behind attacked him. He gracefully jump away and avoided the objects.

When the smoke finally vanished, there stood Shikamaru with an expresionless face.

Deidara smirked, "You're really underestimating me, un! You think lame senbon needles could actually be enough to kill me? Don't be silly, yeah."

He was about to attack again when an eagle flew and perched itself on his head.

Deidara grunted and took the note on the creature's leg. When he read it, he sighed.

"Annoying, un..." he turned to Shikamaru and waved his hand dismissively. "Let's continue this some other time, un.. I have a show to watch."

And with that, he made a series of handsigns and poof! He's gone.

A few seconds after, Shikamaru Nara tucked both hands in his pocket and smirked.

"See ya."

Sasuke Uchiha stood in the middle of an elevated platform. Surrounded by more than a hundred knights and other allies of the new Akatsuki.

As far as he remembered, the Akatsuki was originally led by Mr. Pein. A wealthy businessman who loves peace and order---as to why he chose to make an organization full of paid criminals. They look for bad government official. Assassinate them. They get paid. That's that.

So the question that still resides in Sasuke's mind, where is Mr. Pein?

"King Sasuke Uchiha.."

He looked up, pulled out of his reverie. The onyx eyed man snorted, "You're gonna pay for this, Akasuna. I'll have you beheaded once all this shit is over."

But the knight in shining armour ignored him and pulled out his sword.

"..I'll kill you myself."

From the corner of Sasuke's eyes, he can see a very confused Deidara holding a senbon needle, murmuring, 'How the heck did this get tangled in my fabulous hair, un?'

He then averted his eyes back to where Sasori stood in front of him and winked at Sakura who nodded in understanding.

Just when the redhead was about to slash his sword, Sakura rapidly blocked his way and shouted,

"Kiss me, Sasori!"

Silence filled the room.

Eyebrows were arched in question.

Even the Akasuna knight was taken aback by her sudden request... well, sudden and very, VERY, unexpected request.

"W-What..? Are you serious, my queen?"

Sakura rolled her eyes in annoyance and pulled his collar to kiss him roughly on the lips. Sasori had no other choice but to comply with her intense kiss and even wrap an arm about her waist. Sakura's tongue invaded his mouth forcefully. Their salivas mixing with one another.

Sasuke was jealous, yes.. so jealous and angry that those words can be his fine definition.

Now's not the time to lose control, Sasuke.

He reminded himself and secretly worked on the chains on his wrists. It's a good thing Sakura had a duplicate of the keys.

Sakura pulled away, smirking.

Sasori forrowed his brows and was about to ask her what's the matter when his whole body started shaking. Sweat was dripping from his forehead and some of his veins were showing. He unconciously dropped the weapon.

"What is t-this?!"

The other Akatsuki members became alert when Sakura laughed. Green forest eyes seeked the swirly-masked wizard in the crowed.

"Good work, Tobi-sama! The poision's spreading faster then I expected!"

"THE FUCK?!" Sasori yelped in pain as everyone started advancing towards them.

Behind his mask, Tobi smiled genuinely. Tobi... is a good wizard. He thought and pulled out his wand and casted a curse on the other Akatsuki members, preventing them from getting near the King and Queen.

He's on the good side. That's for sure.

"Let's go!"

Sasuke dragged Sakura out of the room. Soon enough, they were running down the hallways, searching for the exit.

"You didn't have to french kiss the guy, Sak!"

She rolled her eyes,

"Seriously? We're in a hurry, Sasuke! Can you talk about this some other time?!"

"You could have just kissed him normally! Mind you, I am your fucking husband and I have the right to get mad!"

Queen Sakura sighed and ignored her husband. He's so possesive.

"SASUKE, SASUKE!!! GUYS, OVER HERE! OVER HERE!"

Suddenly, Miko emerged from nowhere and  ran ahead of them, pointing the exit of the crystal palace. Sakura and Sasuke exchanged looks but followed him nonetheless.

From behind then, they can hear the knights running after them.

After a few more turns, they finally reached the exit! Sasuke opened the door and stopped instantly when he saw a concrete the stretched for what seems like a hundred feet high! Even Miko's jaw dropped.

"B-But.... oh, no! They shut the emergency exit! Waaaaaaaaaah!"

Sakura shook her head. They were in the middle of thinking ways how to get pass the wall when a familiar man, riding an enormous ink bird suddenly came,

"You troublesome royals!"
