A/N: Dedicated to jannahferrer22 for the cuteee banner! :D
Oh look! An early update!
You guys are making me blush with all the death threats (wishing we'd die in a hole, get run over a two-decker bus, killing me slowly then torture me in the afterlife, beating the poop outta us etc etc.) you're giving me and my characters aaaaaw. I never knew my story awakened all the serial killers in you guys. *cries*
........................................................
Kristina found it weird that Daniel didn't call her today. Not even a single text message from him at all. It was already past noon and she was sure he would've texted something stupid or outrageous by now. Maybe she was just overthinking and getting too worried over nothing?
Their conversation on the phone last night was nice. He kept sending her messages of how he wanted to hang himself because of Chie. She just laughed. But today. Nothing from him at all. She thought he was busy so she waited for another few hours.
Afternoon was pushing fast and she was still waiting. She actually texted him a few times already. She found it weird because usually he would reply after a few seconds, like he was anticipating her messages. She tried calling him, his phone was ringing but he wasn't picking up. She got worried. Did something bad possibly happen to him?
She kept thinking about what he said last night, about the marriage interview with Mari. He told her to just trust him. She did trust him, but her worrying over him was inevitable. Startling her small daze, she felt her phone vibrate, signalling a new text message. She quickly swiped the lock open and was expecting Daniel's message but was completely disappointed when it was just Daniella.
She sighed a bit before opening the text message.
Damn shit Tina! Emergency! Something's happened back at London! Ella and I are coming over RIGHT NOW!
That single, exciting text message was enough to give Kristina a mini heart-attack. Something happened back at London? She imagined all the worst scenarios possible. Did an accident happen? Are they alright? Is Daniel fine? Is he alive?
"Oh my God..." she bit her lip. What could have happened? Her heart was pounding in her chest and although it was cold in her room, her palms were sweating. In a matter of minutes, her best friends arrived wearing the same frantic faces.
"Tina..." Daniella said breathlessly. It looked like she and Ella were panting. They must've rushed over immediately.
"What happened to them? Are they alright?" Kristina quickly asked. She felt like she wanted to cry and scream. Ella rubbed her back in a soothing manner as Daniella pulled off her phone to read the message she got from her cousin a few moments ago.
"We've already begun the marriage interview. There'll be a black-tie party next month to announce Danny-boy's and Top-Top's engagements. The attire will be formal. Hope you can make it Annie." Daniella read in a bemused tone. "Holy freaking pasta what the hell is going on!"
Kristina stopped. At first she was relieved to find out they were alright, but another set of emotions attacked her mind when she heard about Daniel's 'engagement'. Clenching her fists and biting her cheek from time to time, she asked Anne. "Have you contacted Kristopher?"
"Yes," she said, a sad expression crossing over her face. "But he hasn't replied since this morning. I tried calling him too..."
"Same here," Kristina said. "Last time we talked was last night. Daniel didn't mention anything about a party."
"Neither did Tops. Maybe they just found out now?" Daniella unsurely shrugged her shoulders. She went to Kristina's bed and slammed her whole body on the soft mattress. Ella quietly followed as Kristina sat down in front of her desk. She hated not being able to do anything for her friends.
"I'm worried," Daniella mumbled. She was covering her face with the back of her arm. "Alright. I'm flying back there next month and find out. This is insane!"
Kristina nodded. She wished she could come too, but she didn't have the money or time to go. What was she thinking? Who cares about her time? She wanted to go. If only she could. She wasn't invited to the party. She sighed again. "Did Kristopher tell you about his marriage interview too?"
"Yes," she mumbled. "He also told me that Chie told him about my uncle's plan to make me meet his friend's son. It's insane. Why is this happening? I thought everything was fine already."
Ella intently listened to their mumblings and began to feel sorry for them. The mention of Chie's name startled her. So he was the bad guy in this situation? A puppet?
She kicked her shoes off and climbed up the bed next to Daniella. She furrowed her brows as she thought about Chie, the boy she met at the mall a few months ago. She was shopping for clothes back then, as her usual monthly routine, and had accidentally lost her phone.
She remembered panicking and going to the customer service booth immediately. There she found a guy wearing a cap, handing her phone to the lady behind the desk. He must've found it somewhere and was kind enough to turn it in. Ella ran to him immediately and checked to see if it was really her phone he was holding. Thankfully, it was.
Instead of handing it to the lady, he gave it back to Ella. She smiled and thanked him several times. The guy took the cap that was partly covering his face and grinned at her, introducing himself. He said his name was Chie, and she almost gasped when she heard his deep English accent. Ella's eyes widened as she studied the attractive young man.
After exchanging names, they carried on into a light conversation and ended up spending the whole day walking around the mall, talking. Apparently, Chie was lost because he wasn't from around here and just happened to step on a phone on his way to the department store. He apologized to Ella for stepping on it but Ella said she didn't mind at all. They exchanged emails after that and became chat-buddies just until last week. Chie had stopped contacting her.
She never thought that that was the same Chie they were talking about right now. Ella felt sad all of a sudden. Why does she always fall for the wrong guys? She shrugged it off again. She didn't fall for Chie. She barely knew him. She just thought he was sweet and funny due to their many conversations over the internet. Of course, she kept quiet about how they met and just told her friends that he was just some guy she met in the internet.
"Daniel..." Kristina buried half her face on her palm. She narrowed her eyes and sighed again. "He must be really mad right now."
"Yeah," Daniella agreed. "Tops too. Well they have every right to be. Uncle's gone crazy! Who does he think he is, randomly arranging marriage interviews?!"
They were all quiet for five agonizing minutes. Daniella kept covering her face with her arm, so they didn't notice her slightly tearing up. She couldn't help it. She felt like Kristopher was slipping through her fingers again. She was gonna lose him again. And this time, it may be for life.
Kristina just stared at her plain desk. Instead of feeling lonely, she felt mad. She hated feeling helpless and right now she was feeling just that. She wanted to go to London and tell Mari to keep her hands off her butthead. She concealed her sad face with a strong and determined one. "Anne, I'm coming with you to that party."
Surprised with her sudden decision, Daniella sat up and looked at her. Ella too. "Are you sure?" she asked. "Shouldn't you ask aunt Lizzy and uncle Jake first?"
"They'll understand," she assured. "I'll save enough money to buy my own plane ticket."
Daniella stared at her concerned. Of course she understood why Kristina decided that, but it was a bit reckless. Once that girl makes up her mind, she knew it'll be hard to talk her out of it. Her head was probably the hardest of the hard. "No don't use your money. I'll just ask Mari to send me a few extra tickets."
"Really?" her eyes twinkled, hearing that she didn't have to pay for a ticket. Daniella laughed unsurely at her weird expression before nodding her head.
"Yeah. When the Yaos throw a party, they handle all the expenses. And since I'm practically related to them so... yeah."
Kristina felt touched for no reason at all. If she could, she would've kneeled down or hugged Daniella, but that totally contradicted to her personality. Instead, gave her an appreciative smile. "T-Thank you..."
"Well in that case!" Ella jumped in again. "I'm coming too!"
Daniella and Kristina snapped their heads at Ella with questioning looks. Ella just shrugged. She didn't want to tell them her real intentions. "What? You said you two are gonna attend a black-tie party, and it's still a month away. When your boys see you there, I want them to drool. For short, I wanna be your make-up artist! Can I come too Anne? Pleeeease?"
Daniella giggled and sighed. "Sure. But ask your parents alright?"
Ella excitedly nodded. Inside her head, she thought that was the only way she could help them. And another reason was because she wanted to meet with Chie again. Kristina stood up and clasped her hands, a determined grin on her face. "It's settled then."
"We're going to London."
'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'
"You." Daniel snapped at Jonathan. He followed his father to their business building, the Curtis Corporation and scolded him as if he was he was the dad. "You're unreasonable. Why did you have to take my phone away?"
"It's distracting you son," he simply said. He was currently greeting their employees as they passed by the hall. The new female interns gaped as the handsome son of the boss passed by, but Daniel didn't spare them a glance. He was mad at his dad.
"Distracting me from what."
"Everything," he replied. He went to his office and reminded his son about the unfinished paperwork left on his desk. Daniel was pissed. He never thought his dad would be like this. He wasn't a kid. Why did he take his phone? He quietly left Jonathan and went to his own office. There he found a few stacks of paper, burying his desk.
The room was a bit stuffy since he hasn't been here for a while. He sighed his frustration out. Taking his suit and tie from a small closet, he remembered Kristina. He was worried about her, getting worried about him. What the hell was he supposed to do now? He pulled his shirt above his head and threw it over a nearby sofa.
Unbuttoning the white polo neatly ironed on the hanger, he paused and sighed once more. He was seriously considering the thought of escaping and going back to her side. But he thought about his father too. He couldn't just leave, even if his father was being selfish and unreasonable. Every time he asked Jonathan why he was doing this, his dad would just sigh and shake his head, dismissing the discussion.
"Oh—I'm sorry!" he heard a voice behind him. He turned around a saw a young lady covering her face with the folder she was holding. "S-Sorry sir... I should've knocked..."
It was obvious she was new. Daniel finally remembered that he was still shirtless, so he put on the white polo and while he was buttoning it, he noticed that the girl was still there. "What is it?" he asked.
The girl got startled like a little bunny in front of a cavernous creature. "A-A-A-A..." she stuttered. "I-I-I c-came to give you y-your m-mail sir..."
Daniel left his shirt buttoned down and casually went towards the new employee. She was short, blond and definitely nervous. He took the big envelope from her hand and studied it a bit. It looked too flashy to be just an ordinary letter. Maybe it was an invitation to a wedding or a party? He turned his head back to the lady and nodded his head. "Thanks," he muttered.
Seeing his half-exposed chest, she blushed and winced. She immediately left the room with a fast-pounding heart. She never knew their boss's son was this young and drool-worthy.
As soon as she left, Daniel opened the big silver envelope. Inside was a piece of hard, glossy paper folded into three parts. He curiously opened it and almost felt all his insides turn into knots when he finally realized who it was from. Suspicious, he stared grimly at the invitation, clenching the paper as he read it.

The following week was hell for everybody. Kristina had to endure the whole week without getting any news about Daniel. It was the same for Daniella. She couldn't contact Kristopher as well and was splitting her head trying to figure out what her family was doing.
Daniel was forced to continue the work that piled up in his desk. Not only that, but his dad made him lead all the meetings they had with their clients and employees. He had a difficult time avoiding the reporters too. It seemed that the news about them working with the Yaos already broke out. Kristopher got stuck with all the interviews his publicist arranged for him. Everybody was wondering what had happened to him and the press was also interested in his and his cousin's disappearance for the past few months.
From time to time in between work, Daniel would sneak out of his father's view and secretly contact Kristina through emails and Skype. He felt like he was being deprived of life since he hadn't contacted her in more than five days. Every time he would send her a message, she would either be offline or his connection to the internet magically disappears. He got annoyed about it, but lucky for him because today, she finally replied.
FINALLY.
When he saw that single message, he dropped everything and almost stumbled over his own chair. He quickly typed in a reply with a wide smile forming on his face.
Sorry I couldn't contact you for a while, been busy with work. How's my Poopy?
He waited for her reply like a puppy waiting for its food. His anticipating eyes were glued to the screen. When a small sound rang from his computer, signalling that he got a message, he read it immediately.
Shut up. They're torturing you out there aren't they? I know about the engagement party next month. I want to kick you and the Yaos' butts.
What engagement party? It's just an ordinary party, and the guests will mostly be their clients and family members.
That's not what I heard.
Daniel tilted his head and took the invitation from his drawer. He read it over and over again and made sure that there was no mention of 'engagement' in that letter.
I don't know. The invitation I'm holding doesn't say so.
Really? Well that's strange. And suspicious.
He couldn't agree more. What was she talking about? Where did she hear about it? Engagement? Were the Yaos unto something again?
They can do whatever they want. They don't own me.
Apparently they do. You said that bald man was going to force you to marry Mari right? Maybe that's what the party's all about. To announce your engagement with her.
Daniel could sense the anger and irritation coming from her through that message.
Didn't I tell you to just trust me?
I do. It's them I don't trust especially that Mari. I want to meet her personally.
Poopy's jealous? ;) ;) ;)
Of what. Shut up. I'm pissed.
He softly chuckled at that last message. Damn he missed her so much. It was relieving just to read her messages. He didn't know what he'd do once he sees her again. He was afraid he may not be able to control himself. Attempting to lighten up the conversation, he decided to use his customary wise-butt lines on her.
You're acting like a poop in distress. Admit it already. You're jealous.
You're acting like a butthead. You are annoying.
I can be your hero baby~
WHAT?
He snickered. He just happened to remember the lyrics of a song he heard a while ago. He didn't know. He was just restless whenever he talked to her.
I'm a superhero.
What the hell did they feed you
I can be Superman.
And I can be Captain America. What the hell. You are talking nonsense again!
Who's your favourite superhero?
None. What happened to our conversation?
Do you like Batman? His gadgets are cool, but his voice is creepy.
Ugh... Kinda?
Then I'll be Batman then.
WHAT
I'll be your Batman.
You seem more like a Buttman to me.
Daniel laughed blissfully as he continued to type, totally forgetting about the paperwork that was due today.
Alright. I'll be your Buttman.
Eew.
He was about to type in another ridiculous phrase when an annoying little box suddenly appeared on his screen. It seems like his internet crashed again, and he can't login even after a few more attempts. He groaned and hit his forehead on his desk. He mumbled inaudible words under his breath. "Why. Why. Why must I live with this depression."
'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'
Kristina sighed and furiously shook her hair. She lost him again. She was really relieved that she managed to talk to him after gaining a little knowledge from Anne, but she couldn't ask him everything that was running in her head. He even changed the subject and ended up spouting stupid buttheaded stuff again. She was close to getting crazy.
She sighed again and narrowed her eyes. Until when will this thing continue? When will it end? How will it end? The thought of him marrying someone else made her chest ache. The weird feeling inside her throat began again, and she swallowed hard to make it disappear. "Damn it."
'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'
Three days after that small chat, Daniel had decided to move to their new house. Jonathan already settled in and had already transferred all their stuff from their old house to their new one. He was rarely at home since he practically lived in his office, but his son was already used to that. Daniel looked around at their new house and concluded that it was actually pretty nice.
It was a bit like Kristopher's mansion, if not, a bit smaller, because only a few people lived in it. He went directly to his room and dived carelessly into his bed. Nice. It was soft. He didn't know what to do the whole day since his dad confiscated his phone and laptop. So he did what he always did since then. He picked up some books and read, but whatever he did, Kristina still kept lurking in his mind.
'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'
Two more agonizing weeks passed. Kristina, Daniella and Ella had already returned to school. As the class and council president, she explained to the teachers why Daniel and Kristopher won't be around for some time. She made up an excuse and said that they were migrating or something.
Daniella kept texting her cousins and aunt the whole time. None of them ever replied. She was so worried sick about Kristopher. Both she and Kristina kept staring at the boys' empty desks the whole week. Ella noticed that they became quieter lately, and she could understand why.
Ella was caught in a daze. Resting her face on her palm, she thought about Chie again. She didn't understand why, but she just kept thinking about him, even if she just saw his face once. She was mad at him. He was one of the reasons why her two best friends are like this.
"Hey," Sean said. Ella looked up and smiled at him. He smiled back. Their relationship got better after that talk after New Year's. Her sister Peyton might've told him some unnecessary things, but they were all past that now. At least, Ella was. "Everybody's asking why Daniel and Kristopher are absent these past few days."
"Ah," Ella mumbled. She glanced at Kristina. She was intently reading her text book and was even jotting down a few notes—typical Kristina, but Ella noticed how she just stopped and stared at her book with her eyes unmoving. After that, she glanced at her other best friend. Daniella was doodling on the back of her math notebook. She noticed how her eye twitched as she furiously scribbled. Ella sighed. "Everybody's affected huh..."
"What?" Sean asked, confused.
She knew Sean also knew about the reason why Daniel and Kristopher left, but he didn't know about the marriage interviews. Seeing that he was also the boys' close friend, he decided to tell him everything.
'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'
"Say what." Daniella stared at Sean. Kristina was staring at him too. Ella was smiling weakly.
"I wanna go with you girls. To London."
Both Daniella and Kristina exchanged glances with Ella. She just shrugged her shoulders. Daniella sighed as she eyed Sean again. "You do know about how complicated the situation is, right?"
He nodded his head. He looked at her with serious eyes and almost caused all of them to shiver. A serious Sean was a scary Sean. "I may have not been their best friend, but I consider those two as my best friends. They're cool. And I want to help you bash that party."
"Whoa whoa wait—" Kristina interrupted. "We're not gonna bash their party. We could get arrested for that!"
Sean tilted his head in confusion. "Then why are you going?"
"To clarify some things and if possible, convince my uncle to discontinue their plan of arranging marriage interviews for practically all of us," Daniella simply said. Sean huffed.
"You think that'll be easy? It's final I'm coming with you guys."
"It's alright with me, but aren't you three being reckless and all?" she eyed Kristina, Ella and Sean. They looked at each other and shook their heads. Daniella sighed and nodded her head. She couldn't say no. She was a bit relieved that they all wanted to lend their support though. They were really her true friends.
"Fine. But since it's a black-tie party, we must first do the most important thing." She said seriously. Sean and Kristina didn't know what she was talking about, until Ella jumped out in between them and yelled. "Shopping!"
"NO!" Kristina and Sean made a horrified chorus.
'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'
"Is it true that you and Daniel are getting engaged?" a reporter asked from the sea of people. Kristopher was holding a press conference today to settle everything. All the rumours were going berserk and it would be a hassle to attend individual interviews, so that's why he did this. Daniel was supposed to participate in this as well but he got stuck at work again. Jonathan strangely dumped everything on his son.
"I don't know where you people have been getting your sources of information, but that is not true," Kristopher said loudly on the many microphones in front of him. "My cousin and I simply had a small vacation at America and tried attending a good high school. We just wanted an experience. That is all."
"Is your cousin really engaged to a childhood friend of his? What's her name? Who is she?" another reporter asked. Kristopher got annoyed, but maintained his game face. This is what he hated about reporters. They ask too much selfish questions and don't listen until they get what they want.
"I have no idea about my cousin's relationships or engagements. So I have no comment on that matter. Why don't you try asking him instead?"
"Are you planning to return to show-business? Your fans are getting worried."
"Of course," he replied. "But not right now."
"Why? What's the reason? And is it true that you're acquainted to the son of Richard Yao? What is your relationship?"
Kristopher felt a nerve pop when he remembered the idiot. "We're good friends. We hope to work well together, along with my cousin and our fathers soon."
"Is it true that the infamous niece of Yao is getting engaged? Where is she right now? Who's the mystery guy?"
His eye twitched. Sucking in a deep breath, he sighed through his nostrils and flashed a smile to everybody present in the room. "Why are you asking me? I have no business with her."
'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'
"Why are you asking me? I have no business with her."
Kristina, Daniella and Ella were currently watching the news. Celebrity gossips were all over television, radios and even in the internet. They watched as Kristopher calmly answered all the questions that were shot at him.
"Anne..." Kristina looked at her. She was simply bothered by what Kristopher said. 'I have no business with her'? It was a pure lie and she understood that he was only trying to protect her, but even so. Those words stung.
"I'm used to it already," Daniella casually replied. Her eyes were glued to the television. She was glad he was looking healthy. At least his uncle didn't deprive them of food, since that was one of her greatest doubts, even though it sounded ridiculous.
They had just finished shopping. The three girls bought themselves cute gowns and even picked a nice tux for Sean. Daniella volunteered to pay everything. Her best friends finally realized it. Not only was it Daniel and Kristopher, but Daniella was rich too.
It seemed like they were too over-excited seeing that the party was still five weeks away. They still had to worry about their exams before the party. It was making them more impatient and annoyed as each day passed by. Why didn't Daniel know about the engagement? Were they keeping it a secret from them? What were they really planning? She was so confused she felt like cracking her own skull.
"Just you wait Mari," Kristina mumbled under her breath.
'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'
"Puuchuu!" Mari sneezed. Chie turned to look at her and gave her a funny face.
"What the hell was that sis?"
She rubbed her nose with her finger and narrowed her eyes at her stupid brother. "A sneeze."
"Ho-ho," he grinned wickedly. "Then someone's probably talking behind your back."
"Chie," she said, looking at him like he was crazy. "Everybody's probably talking behind our back by now. They all hate us."
Chie snickered as he shuffled his sister's hair. She winced and hit him on the head but he just grinned. "Well of course they hate us. They think we're breaking them apart."
"Well aren't we?" Mari returned with a sly smile. They both laughed like the most carefree people in the world.
'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'
"I don't think I can do this to him any longer," Jonathan whined to his cousin. They were having lunch at a small shop outside the building. "I hate making him do things he doesn't want."
"I know," Seth said. He was wearing a pair of large sunglasses, an attempt to somehow conceal his face. He was rather a famous musician around these corners. "Kristopher is mad at me. He won't even spare me a glance all week."
"Yeah?" he weakly replied. "Daniel is being polite and mature about it, but I know he hates me now too. I'm sure they're both confused why we're doing this."
Seth nodded his head as he took a bite of his food. He patted his mouth with a napkin before speaking. "Do you think what we're doing is really for the best?"
"I don't know," Jonathan sighed. "That's up to them to decide. After all, we're still their fathers. We have to give them their freedom to choose."
"Agreed."
'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'
"Really?!' Lizzy exclaimed. Jacob had just finished telling her about Jonathan and the Yaos' plan. She had an annoyed look on her face as she eyed her husband. "Why are you only telling me this now?! You knew the reason why those boys were leaving from the start!"
"I know, I'm sorry," Jacob honestly said. "But Kristina mustn't know about this. Lizzy, be quiet about this alright? I don't want our daughter to experience any more pain."
Lizzy wanted to pull her hair out. Everything was going too fast. She sighed as she slowly nodded her head, promising to keep her mouth shut. She didn't know how to talk to her daughter now. "My poor baby... Hang on there..."
'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'
Three more lousy weeks passed. Daniel felt like he was getting older. He kept thinking about her all day. He remembered telling her to just trust him, but the question was: could he trust himself? He didn't know what to do anymore. He was planning on winging it, but that seemed like a very terrible plan. That didn't even sound like a plan. It was official. His life sucked.
"Kristina, Kristina, Poopy," he childishly sang. "Oh sweet stinky Poopy, please ,please hit me."
He paused as his weird lyrics echoed in his mind. He raised his brows and then knitted them. Quickly signing a few more papers on his desk, he sighed heavily upon cupping his whole face. "You're driving me crazy."
Kristopher didn't bother knocking as he just entered his cousin's office casually. Daniel didn't acknowledge his presence since he was too busy staring blankly at the papers in front of him. Kristopher sat down on the chair beside his desk and whistled. "Wow Danny. That's a poop-load of work you got there."
"Poop," he repeated. "Poop. Poopy."
Kristopher sighed as he gave him a small smile. "You remind me of six year-old Danny. Nothing but 'Poopy' coming out of your mouth. How cute."
Hearing him call him cute earned him a glare. Kristopher chuckled as Daniel just continued his work. "You really look like an adult with that suit Danny. No wonder your female employees drool all over you. You're as sexy as me."
Daniel pressed his intercom. "Security please. Some strange pervert is in my office and is sexually harassing me."
"Danny!" Kristopher chortled. "Geez you can't take a joke now?"
"Why are you here Tops, I'm working. Don't you have interviews to attend to?" he sighed, sounding annoyed.
"They're all settled, thankfully. I'm exhausted."
Daniel gave him a weak smile. Of course he was. They were both exhausted. A few moments later, they heard loud muffling noises outside the door. They stared at it until the door opened and poured out a crowd of women, the young employees.
Kristopher raised his brows as he pointed his cousin to them. "Trainees?"
"Trainees," he said.
The girls gawked delightfully at the two boys staring curiously at them. Daniel raised his brows. Before he could ask what was going on, a tall man wearing a security uniform entered as well. "Sir, these ladies said you were being harassed? Is this the man?" He pointed at his cousin.
Kristopher snapped his head back at Daniel and glared at him. "Danny!"
"EEEEEH!" all the girls made an ear-piercing shriek. "It's Kristopher Walls! Kristopher Walls is having an affair with Sir Daniel! AAAAAAH!"
They sounded like teenage fan-girls. In fact, they pretty much were, seeing that they looked so young. Daniel quietly chuckled as Kristopher groaned. "Get out. All of you. Now."
'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'
The next two weeks passed by like a blur for the girls. Their exams for this month had already ended. Kristina submitted an excuse slip to their adviser, telling them that she, Daniella, Ella and Sean will be absent for the next few days. Her mother handled all the explaining so the teachers could agree without suspicion.
The four of them were now heading towards their plane. Daniella handed the tickets and their passports to the woman behind the desk. There was a lot of processing before they could finally pass through. As soon as they were all done, a stewardess kindly showed them to their seats inside the plane and they placed their stuff on the baggage compartment above them.
Daniella and Ella were seatmates, and on the opposite side were Kristina and Sean. They were getting nervous and excited at the same time. Finally. They were going to London. The captain of the plane made a few announcements and reminders before they started to take off. Kristina took a deep breath.
"Here we go."
