HE RUBBED his eyes repeatedly to be sure he was not seeing things. His eyes widened in shock as he accessed her.

She's on dreadlocks?

She was dressed in an oversized top, baggy jeans and boots.

He couldn't believe it. It felt like he had taken a block to head.

This was the lady he had seen last night... dressed sexily...

She had crazy curves just last night, but now they were gone.....they were hidden in that baggy.

He watched as she jogged, the morning breeze swaying her clothes.

He didn't know when he let out a loud laughter. All he knew was that she glared at him.

He found it really funny

What a strange woman she was...

HER EYES DARKENED in anger as she clenched to her fist. She could stand been criticized but she hated it when she was laughed at.

Was he crazy?

What the hell was he laughing at?

She walked towards him with a frown on her face.

" Hey!, why are you laughing?". She asked moving closer to him, so she was few inches away from him.

His laughter increased, making her more furious.

"what's  wrong with the way I dress?". A pregnant pause.

"I never talked about your dre...

Another laughter.

"what the hell is wrong with you?!"

When no response was forthcoming, she angrily walked away and wished she could beat him up.

SHE ANGRILY ENTERED the kitchen and the three other ladies abruptly ended their conversation.

"where's the package?". Cassie asked.

" can you imagine?... That stupid guy was laughing at me"

The three ladies exchanged glances.

"so you don't know why he's laughing at you?". Belinda asked sarcastically.

"Your dressing is awkward"

Matilda gritted  her teeth "Does that give that jerk the right...

"None of that Matilda, he is my husband's friend. You shouldn't insult him,  he deserves some respect ".  Cassie said.

"Husband's friend my ass". She mumbled as she walked angrily out of the kitchen.

She lay on the sofa sulking. They were all making her act like a child. And she hated it.

But seriously, was it bad to have a different dress sense?

Cassandra, Lily,  and Belinda came into the living room.

"cutie, we're not saying your dress sense is bad, we're just thinking you should dress more ladylike ". Cassie said.

"Exactly ".  Belinda chipped in.

"In case Cassie hasn't  told you, we will be having dinner together. Gray and Cassandra has something important to announce ".

Matilda wasn't ready for talks,  she just wanted to be alone.

Matilda stood up.

She left the living room for her room as Belinda followed pace.

"Matilda!"

She turned sharply to her sister" what is it this time "

"I wonder how you cope with this awkward dressing of yours. Aren't you tired of being nagged at?".

"That's none of  your nonsense"

" You are pissing me off.  Go and get married so you can change this dressing of yours".

"Is that a problem to you?"

"Yes, it is my problem. You are twenty eight for goodness sake!. Get married".  Belinda said walking away.

Matilda frowned.

She needed fresh air, she needed to breath.

The tables were set for all of them to dine and wine.

The ladies were dressed in beautiful  gowns expect Matilda who wore a baggy trouser and a large t-shirt. Cassandra especially  was dressed in a white fishtail gown and diamond accessories to match.

Rory was wearing a yellow shirt that he casually  unbuttoned to reveal his chest.  He sat opposite Matilda, once or twice, she glared at him.

And for the first time, she looked at him.

Really looked at him.

He was brown skinned, he had slightly pink lips, and he was dark eyed...

Dark eyed monster...

But,  he was too good looking to be a monster.

He was damn good  looking,  she  couldn't  deny that fact.Yeah,  Rory was a man who deserved a second look.  He had the looks,  the height, everything  a woman could dream of..

She  had been too furious to notice that he looked this great.

Cassie cleared her throat "We have an important  announcement to make,  Gray and I ". She turned to her husband "You should stand,  we have to say this together "

Gray stood up and held her waist firmly.

"You should  speak, you are the man here"

"Alright guys, you've been so supportive and kind to us and I thought it'd be unfair to keep this information from you". Gray said,  getting a nod from his wife.

"we're expecting a  baby". Cassie said

Lily and Belinda erupted in a sudden cheer as Rory joined in.

There was laughter and cheering but Matilda wasn't part of it.

From across the table, Rory watched as  Matilda strained her eyes. She was blinking rapidly and he could see something.... Tears.

She picked up her handkerchief as tears flowed freely down her cheeks.

Too excited, lily and Belinda went to give Cassandra a hug. Afterwards,  Rory congratulated his friend.

But...

Matilda sat still, tears  flowing  down her cheeks.

"Matilda". Cassie called worriedly "what's wrong?"

They all stared at her in concern.

She then smiled very slowly, revealing  sparkling white teeth and dimples. A beautiful dazzling smile that shook Rory.

She had a beautiful smile, he admitted.

She should smile more often,  her smile was breathtaking.

She ran into her sister's arms.

"I'm happy for you, sis". She said in tears"I love you so much "

Cassandra couldn't help but be touched. She held her sister and cried also.

Everyday is filled with surprises.

CASSANDRA WIPED THE LAST  trace of make-up from her face, even though it was messed up already. Tonight was an emotional night.
Only God knew what made Matilda cry so much. She had always had a thing for babies,  but could that be the only reason why she cried?.

"I'm surprised Matilda cried tonight ".  She said to Gray with a sigh. "I've always been  worried about her... Ever since our parents died, she has  always like that, never showing her emotions even though it was killing her inside. "

She had always acted like the man she never was. Always bottling up all her feelings.

"Don't worry, she'll  figure it out soon. Tonight should be a turning point for her". Gray said.

"I hope so "

She slept in the bed and pulled into duvet over herself.

"Honey, I'm suddenly hungry"

"You ate tonight, didnt you?. Fried rice and grill chicken ". She raised a brow at him.

"I'm hungry for you, ".  He grinned

A chuckle escaped her lips "What do I  do about this hunger of yours?"

"I want you,  come here".  He said holding her to him as he brought his lips to hers.
