Recap

I realize I was crying when a hand started to wipe my tears. I look at Gabe, he looks at me. He grabs me in his arms and holds me tight.

Seth's pov 

I told her I like her, and her eyes looked as if they were seeing something different. I reached over and pulled her into my arms, slowly wiping little tears off of her cheeks. She gets out of my arms and wipes her eyes.

She stops crying while looking up at me. "Um, I really....."

Some girl comes walking over and interrupts her. "Emily, what's wrong," she walks over and hugs Emily. The girl looks a little like Emily but not enough to be her twin, it's probably her sister. "Emily, you look like you need to go home." She said.

"I am fine, Lily." Emily says.

Emily's pov

I was about to tell him I like him, but my sister was walking by, saw the redness of my eyes, and came over. I am fine, and I know if I go home early from school father will punish me. Lily knows this to, but she still grabs my arm and drags me to the car.

"You know what father will do to me, or you, and I don't want you getting hurt." I say.

"Dad wouldn't lay a finger on me, and you know it." Lily tells me.

"Yea I know, but if you get in the way you might get hurt."

"I don't care, you are getting in the car whether you like it or not."

We walk into the house, it was very silent, to quiet. My brother came running down the stairs to ambush us. I didn't move, because I knew what was happening, but my sister screams.

My mom comes running down the stairs in an attempt to shut her up, so father doesn't hear. She hugs me, she never hugs me. I try to get out of her grasp to go to my room, but with my luck father comes down the stairs to smack me across the face. Lily growls at him in a wolf-like matter, I almost did a double take.

I try to turn to Lily, but my mom stops me. "Emily, my office now." Father says in a commanding voice. "Yes Sir," in an attempt to make him actually like me. I follow him into his office, my mother comes with. "Sit down, we need to talk." We never need to talk, he hates me. Today has to be the weirdest day of my life.

"Okay this is how it's going to go, I am not your father. You're father died long before you were born. When I fell in love with your mother, I didn't realize until after her wedding that she had a child. So that is why you never were treated the same as your half siblings, my children. But now that you're 16 I can finally get rid of you for good, by kicking you out. I realized that you don't want to leave, but I can't force you without permission from your mother." Father said.

I am shocked, I look at my mother for confirmation that this is true, she nods her head. No no no no no no. This means I have to move out. This means I will be homeless.

"She said that she could never let you go out alone early. So you are staying till you are 18, then you will be gone." and with that I run out of the room. This is t much for me to handle.
