- 04 ; reunion
After they managed to get some weapons from the telmarines, Robin finally felt as if nothing could go wrong. They were going to win this war, no matter what.
As she walked alongside Caspian in comfortable silence, he suddenly stopped and put a hand protectively in front of Robin. She peered at him confused, only to see his gaze on someone.
That someone was a blond boy, Robin had never seen him before. At least, not that she remembered.
When the two saw that he was advancing on a minotaur, Caspian jumped from the bushes and attacked the boy. The boy swings at Caspian but misses, making his sword stick in a tree. Caspian kicks the boys, making him falter in his steps. While the boy advances on the prince with a rock, Caspian picks up his sword.
"No!" a feminine voice comes from the clearing. Everyone looks towards the voice, and Robin felt her heart stop. No fucking way.
"Peter!"
The blond boy, Peter, looks at Caspian. "Prince Caspian?"
"Yes," Caspian huffs. "And who are you?"
By now the rest of the Pevensie's arrived, none of them noticing Robin next to the many narnians that gathered.
"Well, shit." Robin says rather loudly, making all eyes turn to her.
The Pevensie's eyes are frozen to her for a long time before Lucy breaks in a run. "Robin!" she yells as she jumps in Robin's arms, making her stumble. They squeeze eachother until they feel like they can't breathe anymore. "I missed you so much." Lucy mutters into her shoulder.
"I missed you too, Lu." Robin whispers back, a crack in her voice. She puts Lucy down only to be brought in another hug this time by all the Pevensie's. The five hug tight, reminiscing the time when they hugged on the battlefield after they defeated the White Witch.
"You cut your hair!" Edmund chuckles through his tears.
"I never thought I'd see that." Susan agrees with him as they look at her.
"How are you all so young?" Robin asks curiously as the five pull away.
"We went back to our world." Peter shrugs.
They all suddenly remembered that they weren't alone and quickly looked at the other narnians watching them with soft smiles. Well everyone, except Caspian.
"You're the High King?" Caspian asked, confused, directing his towards Peter.
"Yes, I believe you called." Peter respondes with a raised eyebrow, his cockiness showing. Robin slapped him over the head.
"Well, yes," Caspian hesitates. "But i thought you'd be older."
"Well we can come back in a few years if you want." Peter challenges.
"No! No!" Caspian rushed out. "It's alright, you're just not what I expected." he finally says, his gaze stoping on Robin. The two share a small smile.
"Well, neither are you." Edmund complains.
Trufflehunter looked between the Kings and Queens. "A common enemy unites even the oldest of foes."
"We have anxiously awaited your return, my liege. Our hearts and swords are at your service." Reepicheep says, looking towards Peter and Robin.
"Oh my god, he's so cute." Lucy whispers to Robin and Lucy as the chuckle.
"Who said that!" Reep says threateningly, pointing his sword.
"Sorry." Lucy mutters in embarrassment as Robin puts a hand around her shoulder, chuckling.
Reep's eyes widen. "Oh, uh... your majesty. With the greatest respect...I do believe courageous, courteous, or chivalrous might more befit a knight of Narnia"
"Well at least we know some of you can handle a sword." Peter scoffs, sending Caspian a dirty look. Robin hits him over the head again.
Reep nods. "Yes indeed. And I have recently put it to good use acquiring weapons for your army sir!"
Robin frowns as she sends Reep a small glare. It wasn't Peter's army. They weren't Kings and Queens anymore, neither was she. Caspian was the true ruler.
Peter raises his head in confidence. "Good, because we'll need every weapon we have."
"Well then I guess you'll be wanting yours back." Caspian says awkwardly, giving Peter his sword back.
Peter sends another glare at Caspian and walks away, the narnians following close behind.
Robin sends the other Pevensie's a small smile and a nod, indicating that she will talk to them later then she goes next to Caspian.
They walk in silence for a little before Robin breaks it. "I'm sorry."
Caspian sends her a confused look. "For what?"
Robin shrugs, putting a little bit of hair behind her ear. "It's your deal, it's your army. We don't rule these lands anymore."
Caspian shakes his head with a small smile. "It's fine, really." he pauses. "I just want to help."
Robin nods and hesitates before grabbing Caspian's hand and squeezing it. He looks at her surprised before he intertwines their fingers and squeezes her hand back. "You already did, Cas."
Caspians smiled at her, a real big smile. He then looks towards her puoch where Aragorn started stirring. "How come he didn't wake up until now?"
Robin laughs, a beautiful melodic laugh. "Believe or not, he can sleep five days without waking up. Dragons need a lot of sleep. But when he senses I'm in danger, he immediately wakes up."
Caspian hesitates. "May I?"
Robin nods. "Of course." she takes her hand from his and takes Aragorn out of her bag. His eyes are open wide, looking for any injury visible on Robin. Then he looks at Caspian. "Don't hurt him, Ara." Robin warns.
Aragorn puffs out before jumping in Caspian's awaiting hands. He looks at him with curious eyes, taking him in. Aragorn then looks between Robin and Caspian and apparently decides that he's good enough before curling on Caspian's hands and going back to sleep.
Caspian let's out a surpised laugh. "Did he actually just fall asleep?"
Robin chuckles. "Trust me, he can fall asleep anywhere."
"Is that a dragon!" Lucy's excited voice breaks the two out of their moment. At her question, Edmund and Susan turn to look as well.
Robin smiles a bit disappointed because they interrupted but at the look Caspian's sends her, she sighs.
"This is Aragorn."
