Now, I know this is probably everyone's answer, but Emma. Not only is she half of my OTP, but she's such a strong, brave and powerful woman. Emma grew up without parents, much like a lot of the villains on the show. She had so many reasons to be evil, to lose herself, but she didn't. She may have made mistakes like stealing the watches for Neal, and having a kid at 18, but she stayed true to herself.

Emma has come such a long way since season one, episode one. If you go back and watch the pilot episode, you'll be amazed at how different the Emma Swan is from the Emma Swan we know today. The old Emma was very reserved. She had major trust issues and didn't love anyone until a henry came along.

The Emma in season four, while still reserved had opened up to the people she feels closest to. Especially Killian, with whom she shared parts of her childhood that she didn't even share with her mother. Emma has made it very clear that she trusts her family and friends. Obviously, now, she believes in all the Fairytale things and magic that she refused to believe in season one. She has so much love in her life now, between her son, her parents, her brother and boyfriend, and I'm so proud of how much she's changed.

So, yeah. Emma Swan is my favourite female character, in any show, really.

Regina. I'm so proud of her character growth since the beginning of season 3! Even since the end of season 3, she's grown so much by letting Robin go. She's hurting, but she's handling it and her strength, sass and attitude is why I love her!
