I find locking them in their basement with Netflix works extremely well. I did that to my friend who loved to criticize the show, and after the first episode, she just sat there in shock like "I... I want... More..." She's still on season one, but she's obsessed.

Another way is to make them feel guilty about making fun of the show and then they'll watch every episode ever. That was the first friend I got into it.

Sending picture of you favourite character over and over and over again has worked too. "If I watch the first episode will you stop?!?"

"Yes."

*an hour later*

"OH MY GOD I AM SO SORRY THIS IS AMAZING!!"

But, the weirdest way is probably that time a guy asked me out, I said no, and then he said if I say yes, he'd watch ouat. I was tempted but still said no. (He still tries though, and considering he knew who Killybear was when I asked him, I think he watched in anyway...)
