LYRIC'S POV
////////////////

I finally had all of my stuff unpacked and orginized. Only took me three fucking days

I looked around my new house, which wasn't small it was a normal sized house, and it had a pool, which was pretty awesome. I bought it, not rented, I felt more secure that way even though it costed me more, I'm not sure why though.

I stretched my arms above my head and yawned. I had been unpacking since I woke up at 7 am, it was now only about 3 pm.

I walked to the door and slipped my black converse on and walked out the door. I didn't have a car yet, I had to sell my old one to get some of the money to buy this place.

I was walking to the nearest coffee shop, when I heard the sound of a skate board.

I looked up and saw the person riding it. She had both arms and hands covered in tattoos, I saw one on her neck aswell.

She had a rimmed hat on, so most of her obviously short hair was covered.

We locked eyes for a second, I got a strange feeling in my gut, I wanted to talk to her but I didn't know what to say.

It seemed that she had the same idea. The woman let her skate board roll off and hit a pole of something, while she stopped about a foot away from me.

"Hey." She said with a smile, flashing perfect white teeth. "I haven't seen you around. Did you just move here?" She asked, I heard a soft accent, it took me a second to realize it was asturalian.

I nodded and started picking at the skin around my fingers. "Ya, I just got done unpacking my house, actually." I responded.

The woman nodded. "I'm sorry, how rude of me, my name is Ruby, Ruby Rose." She said holding out her hand. I shook it.

"I'm Lyric Remi." I said. Just a simple hand shake gave me butterflies, Ruby was absolutely stunning, it was pretty hard not to just stare, and admire her.

I had had girlfriends before, I had never dated a guy. I never really out a lable on myself, but you could call me a lesbian.

"So where are you headed?" Ruby asked as she let go of my hand.

"Um, I'm trying to find a coffee shop. Do you know a good one anywhere near here?* I asked.

Ruby smiled and nodded. "Follow me."

Ruby quickly jogged over and grabbed her skate board before leading me to the coffee shop.

We got in line and I read the menu, I didn't want any fancy coffee so I just looked around the building.

It was a nice little coffee shop, I noticed a 'Help Wanted' sign in the window. Perfect. I needed to get a new job anyway.

When it was out turn I just ordered a black coffee, and Ruby did the same.

We got our drinks and sat down at a table by the window.

Ruby propped her skate board up on the wall next to the table.

"So, why did you move here?" She asked.

I shrugged. "Just wanted to I guess. Nothing bad happened in my old town, guess I just wanted a change." I said sipping off of the bitter liquid.

Ruby nodded. "As you can tell I'm Australlian." Ruby stated.

"Why did you move to America?" I asked, tilting my head to the side slightly.

"Um, well, I encountered a lot of homophobia in my home town, and um, well I don't know, I guess that's it." She explained with a small shrug.

I nodded my head as she spoke. "That makes sense." I said quietly.

"So what about you? Gay? Straight?" She asked. I chuckled.

"Your pretty blunt aren't you." I chuckled. Ruby just shrugged and waited for me to answer the question.

"I've never actually officially come out, or even labeled myself, my family always knew I liked girls and so did I." I explained. Ruby smiled, a small amount of envy in her eyes.

"I wish I had the same experience." She said sadly.

I gave her a sympathetic smile and reached out, I squeezed her wrist comfortingly.

Ruby's eyes snapped to my hand. She smiled slightly at the sight and put her other hand over mine. "Thanks." She said quietly.

We talked for a while, even after we had both finished our coffee. It was so easy to get lost in what she was saying, her hand motions, and little quirks she had were all fascinating.

I glanced at the time on my phone. It was now 6 at night. "Oh shit. It's getting pretty late. I should probably go." I said as I started to gather my things together.

"Would you like me to walk you home?" Ruby asked as she stood up. I smiled slightly at her offer.

"Ya, ya, I'd like that." I said nodding my head a little.

"Here, let me see your phone." She said holding her hand out. I took my phone out of my pocket and unlocked it. I handed her my phone and watched as she typed her number into my phone.

I couldn't stop smiling like the idiot I am. I put my phone back and held my hand out

Ruby seemed to smirk as she took her phone out and handed it to me. I typed my number in and handed her phone back to her.

"Let's go." I said. Ruby picked up her skate board and gestured for me to lead the way.

I gladly did so. We talked a little on the walk back to my house, mostly about TV shows that we watch or our favorite movies, normal stuff.

When we finally got to my front door I was kinda sad she had to go.

"So I'll see you sometime tomorrow?" Ruby asked.

I nodded. "For sure." I confirmed as I unlocked the front door.

Then she did something I didn't expect at all. She leaned over and kissed my cheek.

I couldn't help the blush that spread across my face.

"I'll see you tomorrow Lyric." He said before putts her skate board on the ground and ridding off.

I smiled to myself.

Moving to this town might be the best thing I've ever done.

(A/N: So like, Ruby Rose is my favorite lesbian other than my GF XD She's also the second hottest, next to my GF of course. 😍😍😍 Like holy fuck, spare me please Ruby XD)
