Chapter 5

"What are we doing!?" I yell, wanting to know just why in the kettle ARE WE JUMPING OFF. Midoriya tightens his grip on my hand as he yells, "Just trust us!" I nod at him as Uraraka pulls out what looks like a staff and holds it above her head. She starts to rotate it around, spouting words inaudible to me. This happened in a matter of seconds, as we started to ascend back up in the air, just missing the jaws of the wolves down below. A subtle "Woah," slips out of my mouth as Midoriya lets go of my hand. Iida and Uraraka make their way over to us, sitting on the long staff. "Join us on the staff." She grins while saying and we do as the girl says. When all of us were seated, Uraraka ordered the staff by tapping on it with the palm of her hand twice. We lifted into the air, steering us away from the wolves, which by their expressions, seemed to admit defeat, and climbed back down the tree.

Suddenly I remember my satchel was somewhere down with the beasts we just escaped from. "Uraraka, can we go back down there? My satchel--," Iida interrupts me, holding out my satchel for me to take. I take it and slightly bow, making sure I didn't fall off the staff. Midoriya gives Iida a thumbs up as Iida talks. "Grabbed it when I was guarding you against the wolf. You are the prince, and I am still a knight."

We flew around on the staff for a few more minutes before a thought popped into my head. Why didn't Uraraka do this in the first place? Asking about it, Midoriya answers for her in between chewing on some crackers from his bag.

"Her staff (which gives her magic,) takes some of her energy and makes her barf if she uses it too much, which is why we use it more as a last resort, as her potions are a lot easier to use, but not so to make. Her potions require ingredients from all over Jyne and the fact that there isn't a potion for everything makes it hard to travel long distances without running into trouble."

"So magic is real?" I ask, slightly confused. The three blink and then laugh at me for a bit. Uraraka halts the laughter. "Yeah, it does. Forgot you've been stuck in a castle forever, but yeah all those stupid fairytales and fables are all somewhat true." Thinking for a moment, I came to realize that the sword on my waist (Yes I just remembered that I could have used that when we were against the wolves), my grandmother's sword's tale could be true. Just as I'm about to ask, Iida takes his turn to speak.

"Isn't it the other way 'Aco?" Uraraka stops the staff's movement, taking off the hood she's been wearing. Seeing her face was a nice delight, but she had a scowl on her face. "Couldn't have said that a few minutes ago?" Iida and Midoriya flinched back, shaking their heads. Uraraka turns the staff back towards the forest we left.

Onward we go

...

Uraraka lowers us down back into the woods, into an empty clearing. We get off the staff and the three stand without doing anything. "Aren't we supposed to go somewhere?" I ask. Midoriya holds his index finger to his lips, shushing me to be quiet. Suddenly, the ground around us begins to rumble and a yellow light rings around us as a circle. The light shines upward, creating a cylinder containing us surrounded by light. A light blonde girl with black hair clips comes through to us as the corner of my eye catches a glimpse of what had appeared from the light. A cottage made from the trees had sprouted up in the few seconds we were blinded. The girl runs up and hugs Uraraka, talking with her about how much she missed her.

Midoriya looked back at me, seeing my face in awe of the cottage. "Welcome to UA headquarters. Make yourself at home." He chuckles as the blonde girl leads us inside. The inside was a lot bigger than what it seemed, two stories, plus what Midoriya had inferred about a secret basement or perhaps an attic. The blonde girl stopped at what looked like a sitting area. Three couches, and two spare chairs. We sat down, Uraraka next to Iida, and Midoriya next to me.

The other girl sat in one of the spare chairs. She then realized there was an extra person on deck. "Oh my lord, I didn't even see you! Sorry 'bout that, I'm Toru Hagakure."

"Shoto Todoroki." Hagakure gasped as soon as I said my name.

"Wait THE Shoto Todoroki?! PRINCE ROKI--!" Iida jumped up and covered her mouth. He whispers a "Sorry," as Hagakure sits back down in her chair. Uraraka and Midoriya looked down, suddenly interested in how shiny the wood floors were. Iida sighs as he sits back in his seat next to Uraraka. I tap Midoriya's shoulder, wanting to ask why everyone is looking down. He sighs, looking straight at me.

"We actually weren't supposed to do this whole mission." As soon as that was whispered, an old man with bright blonde hair and a bright banana yellow suit came walking towards the space we were seated in. He had a scowl on his face that made me shudder as a memory of my father came to mind.

"Young Midoriya, welcome back."

Hagakure has joined the cast as a new possible foe emerges? Who is this mysterious man? Find out next week!!!
