Chapter 4

School is finally over for me so I decided to be nice and give you all an extra chapter this week! Enjoy!!!

“What are you doing just sitting there? Run!” Uraraka’s unnatural shrill voice yells. The three were already in either a battle stance or ready to run away. I couldn't move though. My legs feel like jelly as the large wolf stands over me, its long pointy teeth filled with meat. The drooly substance on my hands multiplies as the wolf takes a step forward to devour me whole. Just as I brace for the wolf, a loud clunk sound rumbles in my ear. Opening my eyes, Iida stands before me, holding his sword up against the beast’s arm. “Move out of the way, your majesty!”

Midoriya comes over to pick me up out of the way, dragging me off the ground. Iida blocks another of the wolf’s attacks and then runs over to us. “Come on, run!” He yells as we all start to run fast away from the wolf. Unsurprisingly, the wolf begins to run after us, throwing huge rocks as we do our best ability to dodge.

Wait, doesn't Uraraka have a potion to make this stop? The thought churns at the back of my head. I briskly throw the idea into the open, waiting for a response from the girl. “Well, I mean I could, but I didn’t learn anything about this specific scenario.” I nod as we keep running, the best thing we could do. Uraraka seemed to have an idea as she turned around, as she was in front. “Huddle.”

We do as she says, quickly as the wolf is right behind. She whispers something to the other two, and then they disperse. Uraraka grabs my waist as she spreads some kind of potion on her shoes. She passes it to the other two and then runs up the nearest tree carrying me along with her. We stop at a high, thick tree branch, the other two arriving on the opposite side’s branch. “What now?” Midoriya asks. We all have the same expression on our faces when we answer; “I don’t know.”

Midoriya looks down, quite puzzled. “Where is the wolf?” Uraraka makes a smug expression. “Probably was so scared of us towering down here in the trees.” She looks around as well, triumphantly grinning at the win. Just then, I look down to see furious red eyes glowing from down below.

“Uh guys, I think they brought friends,” I say, while Iida laughs.

“They can't climb trees, so we’ll be safe till they run off for other food.” He replies at the confused faces.

Midoriya mutters something and pulls out a journal from his bag. Speaking of bags… My satchel! I remember that my satchel was taken while we were still eating. Suddenly, one of the wolves clawed the tree, making indents into it. The others did the same until there were multiple indents all around the bottom of the tree. Uraraka screeches when she sees the wolves climb up the tree, making an indent so they can move once more. “I thought you said they don't climb! Don’t we have a book on this at HQ?” She yells, steadying herself for the beasts. Midoriya nods grimly. “Yes but I never actually got to the part where it says anything about this!” Everyone was freaking out on how to combat this threat, but I was more concerned about my satchel, looking for it on a high tree isn’t easy. Looking back down on the wolves, I search for my belongings while Midoriya switches places with Uraraka. He whispers something that I wasn’t quite able to hear, then almost slipping off the branch. I try not to chuckle, as he does too. Midoriya then holds out his empty hand.

I lift my eyebrow. “Just take it.” He softly says, a hopeful smile on his face. I mutter an “Okay,” and take his hand. We look at each other, then over to Iida and Uraraka.

“JUMP!” Iida yells, Midoriya stringing me along as we fall, the wolves’ jaws right open waiting for lunch.

What plans do our brave "heros" have in store? Guess we'll have to wait and see! Now time for another shout-out today.
