Chapter Thirty Four

A/N: This is unofficially Chapter Thirty-Four and a Half because I effed up my sitiation with the videos I post with the chapters.

Sorry :/

Somewhere around dusk was where Kali had slumped over in sleep. A little while later she was up and atom around dawn, sporting her sleek bow and sharpened arrows.

The others found her atop the ramparts, watching an army of elves with a look of dark scorn darkening her features, "Kali," Nori whispered as she drew her bow, "What are you doing? You can't go against a thousand elves single-handedly."

"The elven twat and his human servant plan to approach us," she answered, aiming her bow at was the others thought was only a sea of elven warriors. They knew better to question it, though: when Kali was armed with a bow and arrow she was deadlier than anything else you could encounter.

Soon, though, her suspicions were confirmed and Thranduil approached on his large elk, the army of golden-armoured elves parting as he moved through. Bard accompanied him on a white stallion.

The nocked arrow was released and it struck the ground right before the elk's massive hooves. In the split second Thranduil and Bard took to look up, another arrow was set, "One more step," she threatened, "I'll put the next one right between your eyes!"

The dwarves all raised their weapons and cheered, however that cheering was very short lived. Thranduil glared and raised his chin, only a fraction. A fraction was all that was needed for the first several rows of elves to nock an arrow. The synchronization was scary, and all but Thorin and Kali ducked beneath the wall for safety. Thranduil raised his hand and the elves went back to their resting position, synchronized perfectly yet again, "We've come to tell you: payment of your debt has been offered... and accepted."

"What payment?" Thorin growled, "I gave you nothing! You have nothing!"

"We have this," Bard said simply, reaching in his robe. From it be pulled out a large, white gem that sparkled the colours of the rainbow from within. Kali's bowstring tightened and she now aimed directly at Bard, not Thranduil.

"They have the Arkenstone? Thieves!" Kili shouted, "How came you by the heirloom of our house? That stone belongs to the King!"

A/N: Short as all hell, I know, murder me after I finish posting the entire story, please.
