After yesterday's events, you had preferred to stay inside in the warmth of the bounty and the warm arms of your boyfriend.

The others had agreed that was best, of course after giving Lloyd a glare. You had told them it wasn't his fault, you just weren't in the mood for the snow today.

After the rest of the team had gone outside once again, their loud voices reaching your ears, you turn in the arms of Kai, who had his feet on top of the coffee table, staring at you with fondness.

"What?" You furrow your eyebrows and tilt your head in question while drawing small patterns on his bicep.

It takes him a moment to answer, "I was just studying your beauty." He smiles softly and places a kiss on your forehead.

You give a soft snort and stare up at him with big (E/C) eyes, "Okay, what do you want?"

"What?!" He gasps in fake shock, "Who said I wanted anything?" His bottom lip sticks out, quivering the slightest.

You rolls your eyes and push a stray (H/C) hair out of your eyes, "You seem to be sucking up to me." You smirk and lean your head on his shoulder, "So, what is it you want?"

Kai bites his cheek as he stares off into the distance for a few quiet seconds before looking down to you, a normal smirk on his lips. "A kiss?"

You giggle at his antics and lean on the couch, placing your slightly cold lips onto his warmer ones. "How's that?" You mumble against his lips.

"Perfect." He whispers and pulls you closer so that you're practically sitting in his lap.

You use this new angle to wrap your arms around his neck, gently tugging at the hair at the back of his neck, earning a small groan from the fire ninja.

Pulling back teasingly with a smirk, you peck his nose. "Okay, kiss done."

You place your hands on his chest and push yourself off him and off the couch, your bare feet touching the wood of the ship.

"Hey!" Kai manages to get out as he sits up on the arm rest of the couch, a shocked look on his face. "Where're you going?"

You send him a smirk and point towards the kitchen, "I'm hungry." You state simply before walking off towards the food.

As you open the fridge and pull out an apple, the sound of padding feet is heard coming towards you.

Finally, Kai appears in the kitchen. "An apple?" He asks with a raised eyebrow, "since when do you ever eat healthy?"

You send him a sharp look and pull out a chair, "Since now." You huff and plop down on the wooden stool, biting into he red fruit.

"Uh huh." Kai mumbles, not at all convinced.

As you go to take another bite, Kai walks towards you and places his arms on the back of your chair, effectively trapping you in your seat.

You let out a sigh and lower the apple from your mouth, "What?"

"Don't what me, missy." Kai rolls his eyes, "what's wrong?" He asks softly, searching your eyes.

You furrow your eyebrows in confusion. "Kai, I swear on our relationship that nothing is wrong."

Kai bites his bottom lip in thought, his eyes soft. "Are you sure?" He whispered softly.

You smile up at him and lean up, pecking his lips. "Absolutely positive."

Kai takes a moment before nodding and slowly backs away from your seat, "Alright." He nods, scratching the back of his neck. "I'm going to take a shower, so I'll be back."

You send him a grin, "Alright, I'll probably have one after you." You say and take another bite of the apple.

Kai's worried attitude disappears and is replaced by his normal cocky self, "Or you could join me when you're done with that apple."

You stare at him with wide eyes, a dark blush adorning your face, "I'll take that offer up!" You squeak.

Kai chuckles, "I'll meet you there." He smirks and sends you a wink before walking off to your shared room to use your own personal shower.

Once he was clearly out of sight, you dug into that apple like you hadn't eaten in your entire life. No way were you going to waste any time.

After a few more bites you throw the almost eaten apple away in the trash and speed walked towards the room.

Making sure to fix your hair before you went in for some reason was your main goal before you opened your door, walked in then shut it again.

You didn't hear the shower running, which was weird but you didn't get time to register it as something was on your bed, dead centre.

With confusion on your face, you tentatively walked towards the bed. "Kai?"

As you called out his name, you were finally able to see that it was a small black and red box on the bed. Reaching out, you gently picked it up and traced a finger over the lid of the box.

"Open it."

You let out a small scream when there was a hand placed on your shoulder. Turning around, you noticed it was just Kai, sadly with his clothes on.

"Kai!" You gasp, heart racing a million miles an hour, "You scared me!"

Kai smiled softly and only looked towards the box, "Open it." He repeated.

Rolling your eyes at the mysterious aura around him, you turned your attention back to the box.

Biting your bottom lip, you slowly and cautiously lift the lid open. "Oh my gosh."

Inside was the most beautiful ring you had ever seen. You had to blink a few times before even moving. "Is this for me?"

Looking up at Kai, he nodded softly before taking the box off you. "Here." He says quietly and gently picks the ring out of its box.

He places the box back down onto the bed before standing back in front of you. He holds out his hand for yours, which you shakily give him.

He smiles at you and slips the ring on your finger and only then did you notice the ring on his finger. You matched.

"What- uh- what do you think?" He asks you, slight panic in his voice at what you might think.

Shaking away your shock and looking away from the ring, you slowly gaze up into Kai's magnificent eyes. "I love it- I love them!"

Only now did you notice the tears in the corner of your eyes, at it slightly stung. You sniffle softly, quickly wiped them away and threw yourself into Kai's arms.

"I love them, and I love you." You say into his shoulder as his arms securely wrap around your body.

"I hoped so." He chuckles softly and places a kiss to your temple.

After a few moments of silence and embrace, you sneakily smirk into his neck, "So, is that offer still available?"

Kai snorts loudly as you ruin the perfect moment. "Of course it is."
