Kai comes up behind the crying thug, only to throw two more down on him. Kai then quickly pulls out a rope and ties the three men together, who grumble in protest.

The two thieves that were left were caught by Cole, who had grabbed them by the heads and knocked them together with his strength.

Sighing, you rub your aching shoulders. The guy you had crying on the ground had actually snuck up on you and hit you over the back with a baseball bat. Sure it hurt like hell, but you're a ninja, you've been through worse.

Two hands replace your own on your shoulder, making you look up to the eyes of Kai. "Thanks." You mutter softly, enjoying his gentle touch.

"I saw what that guy did." He grunts out, his eyes focused on your shoulders, not meeting your gaze.

You nod softly, eyeing the knocked out thugs, "Yeah... It's not as bad as you think." You assure, yet you still knew Kai wouldn't take that as a proper answer.

"Alright guys." Lloyd pipes up, dusting his hands off after tying the thieves together, "We can head back to the bounty now. Our job here is finished."

Finally, you think with a small smile, hearing Kai sigh behind you.

You feel his fingers weave through your own, making you smile even brighter, but it didn't take away the pain in your back.

"Come on," Kai tugs at your hand, pulling you along with him as you start your journey back home. "You need a back massage after that workout."

You scoff and roll your eyes, "Kai, I don't need a massage, I need ice." You poke his shoulder with your free hand, "The element you don't have." You smirk.

Kai chuckles softly, looking down at the ground while swinging your linked hands together slightly.

Finally, he looks up to meet your eyes, "Well, I'll get you ice after I give you a massage or two." He smirks back at you, your own smirk faltering.

With a small pout on your lips, you sigh in defeat, knowing that Kai wouldn't back down from his offer. "Fine, one massage and that's it."

Kai raises his scarred eyebrow, "Nope, now it's four." He grins cheekily at you, bringing your hand up to place a kiss on your knuckles.

You furrow your eyebrows, "Two." You debate, knowing how bad he was at negotiating.

"Three and I swear that's all." He pleads, his eyes wide with a puppy dog look. He even added in a small pout, making his bottom lip quiver.

You threw your head back with a defeated groan, "Fine, three and some ice."

"You have a deal my queen~" Kai purrs and brings you closer to his side, his arm wrapping around your shoulder as you leaned your head on his.

"Since when have you been so good at negotiating? Normally you're just as bad with it as Cole is with cooking." You ask, giving him a side glance.

You could only see his smirk as he turned his head to look at you. The words that left his mouth caused a deep blush to cover your face.

"I'm only good at it because it means I get to touch your body~"
