On The First Day Of Christmas My Cake Lover Gave To Me; A Cherry On A Pastry.

You really didn't want to get up and out of the warmth of your bed. You enjoyed having the strong, protective arms of Cole around you, giving you the chance to smell his cologne and the usual chocolate cake scent he had on him.
Sadly, all good things must come to an end sometime, and this sometime was now.
The annoying ray of sunshine had crept into Cole's and your's bedroom that early morning and hit Cole's face, making him stir in bed slightly.
As the sun got angrier at Cole for not waking up, the sunlight got hotter and hotter on his face, which finally made Cole sigh in annoyance and slowly lift his eyelids up.
He winces slightly at the harshness of the light and hides his face in the crook of your neck, his arms hugging your frame tighter.
Feeling a sudden warmth on your neck had disturbed your own slumber. You let out a soft groan, easily knowing who it was. "Cole." You muttered sleepily, "What're you doing?"
Cole just nuzzled his face as far as he could in your neck, "Trying to get away from the sun." He mutters, although it was muffled.
His voice sent a electronic shock down your spine and goosebumps up your arms. Having his hit breath on your skin didn't help at all either.
With a tired sigh, you turned around in his arms so your chests were pressed against one another, although this made Cole lose his head rest. "You know, you should really be use to the sunlight." You smirked lazily.
Cole, who had to suffer and put his head on the pillow instead of your neck, rolled his deep brown eyes. "Just because that's your element, doesn't mean I'm not use to it."
You let out a soft giggle and lay your head on his bicep, "You're right. I don't go around blinding you when I get the chance." You commented with sass.
Cole hums and places a kiss to your hair, "Exactly. Besides, you love me too much to do that."
You raise an eyebrow and look up to his face, a cheeky grin on your own. "Is that what you think?"
Cole pouts down at you, his bottom lip slightly quivering, "Okay, for that comment, you can forget the surprise I was planning on giving you."
You gasped in shock, instantly sitting up in the bed, the sheets falling down your body and into your lap gracefully. "Surprise?"
Cole smirks, now knowing he had gained your attention. "Yep." He says, laying back down on his back and placing his arms behind his head on the pillow, his bare chest on display for your (E/C) eyes to drool over.
"What surprise? Why didn't I know about this?" You ask with a frown, crossing your arms over your chest.
Cole chuckles and shakes his head, "Because (Y/N), that's what a surprise is. You aren't supposed to know about it."
You let out a huff and look to the sheet bellow you before looking back up to Cole, "Is it a early Christmas present?" You guess with a grin.
"Hmm, no. Those are for later, Sunshine." He chuckles and watches as your grin falls.
Finally, Cole caves in, "Fine, I'll get you your surprise." He rolls his eyes and sits up in his spot.
You let out a small squeal, "Yay!" You cheer and go to follow him, only to have his hand placed in your shoulder.
"Ah, Ah." He tuts, "You wait here, I'll bring it to bed for you." He smiles softly and places his feet on the ground.
You give him a nod, nerves building up inside of you. "Okay." You squeak and fidget in your spot on the bed as Cole walks out of the room quickly, thoughts after thoughts entering your mind.
Maybe it's a kitten? Oh, what about a puppy?! I hope it's a puppy, then it can be my son or daughter and I'll spoil it like it's my child and I'll get Cole to be the father and we'll go for walks and get ice cream-
Your frantic thoughts were cut short when there was a knock on your door, Cole's voice on the other side. "(Y/N), close your eyes."
You give another squeal and eagerly close your eyes, a grin on your face and butterflies in your stomach as you hear the door hinges squeak.
The small thumping steps of Cole is heard coming towards you, making you place out your hands. "I'm ready!"
Cole's deep chuckle reaches your ears, "Okay, don't drop it." He says before something cold and round touches your hand.
Your eyebrows furrow in confusion but at Cole's word, you finally open your eyes to meet the sight of your surprise.
"So?" Cole asks, watching as you look at the dessert skeptically before looking up to his eyes. "What do you think?"
"It's not a puppy." You say quite loudly, picking up the fork and poking the delicious looking food.
"Well, no... did you want a puppy?" Cole asks, although you seem to get a hint of disappointment in his voice.
You quickly shake your head, "No, I think this is better." You smile softly, looking up to him. "But, please tell me you didn't make this yourself." You ask fearfully.
You've heard about the times Cole was placed in the kitchen. That really wasn't the best choice and you didn't want to get poisoned, no offence Cole.
Cole scratches the back of his neck, his fingers only skimming pass the jet black hair at the back of his neck, "Of course not, I had Zane help me out."
A sigh leaves your parted lips, "Wow," you smile once the thought of what Cole had done for you hit you, "Cole, you really didn't- you didn't have to."
Cole places himself besides you, laying a hand on your leg, "What says 'I love you' like food?"
You chuckle and rolls your eyes, "No, Really Cole." You say softly, turning your head to look at him, "Thank you. So much."
Cole smiles softly and places a delicate kiss to your awaiting lips. "Anything for my ray of sunshine. Now try it."
Smiling with giddiness, you eagerly take the fork and cut into the treat. Of course you didn't eat it by yourself, you shared with your boyfriend.
