Flashback

"Come on Kirishima!" The nasally voice of a small green haired girl yelled out as she then proceeded to throw herself off a steep, grassy ledge that had a sheer drop with no signs of a bottom. 5 seconds passed, 10 seconds then 20 seconds and still nothing, no signs of the girl who seemingly just jumped to her demise off a rather tall, steep cliff face. Then after an uncomfortable amount of time a large flash of green came surging back up the grassy ledge. Outspread and majestic a stunningly beautiful, emerald green dragon resurfaced itself from oblivion. Showing off the full extent of her wingspan then then quickly curled her body mid-air, seamlessly morphing back to her human form before tumbling and rolling back to earth landing flat on her back; legs and arms out spread as she caught her breath.

Loud claps and cheering from a small handful of people could be heard ring out as the girl safely landed on the almost soft grass. Her name could be heard called as someone began to run over to the place she was laying. As she lay waiting for the person to reach her, she looked up at the truly bewitching sky, taking in the fascinatingly beautiful place she lived, somewhere high in the abandoned mountains of japan. Soft looking cloud glided gracefully across the deep blue sky with the help of the light afternoon breeze.

"Shit Tsu you were gone for ages; how far did you get?" An out of breath voice panted and he neared. The he aforementioned Tsu sat up to look over at the male who had run over to great her. The first striking feature of the other person was his vibrant red, spiky hair that, up close almost looked soft to the touch despite its appearance. Sporting big, pointed teeth he grinned joyously at the girl, the male honestly looked like he didn't have a malicious bone in his body, he just radiated happiness and positivity.

"Um, I think I got down to the tree stump," Tsu replied, pressing her index finger to her lip, her tongue sticking out slightly as she thought. Standing up to stretch her limbs, her big black eyes focused on the bubbly male in front of her who was more than impressed with how far down the mountain she had gotten. "It's your turn now Kiri," Tsu smiled, walking alongside the red head as the two made their way back to group.

"That's so manly, I've never even gotten close to the stump," Kirishima replied, clenching his fist in admiration, "but I'm ready to try." Once over to the small group of three Kirishima threw his red and black zebra print scarf in the direction of a very timid dark-haired male who looked to be wildly uncomfortable and honestly out of place as he leaned subtly into the side of a larger blond male. "look after this for a sec Amajiki." The timid Amajiki nodded slowly, he had been, against his will dragged out here by Kirishima to go cliff diving. Though being quite anxious to come out due to the fact that it was prohibited to mess around at the cliff edge of their small village, he had brought his boyfriend, Mirio along, mainly to help calm his nerves.

"Yay Tsu! That was so impressive, you were down there for like 20 no 30 seconds, for a minute I was sure you weren't gonna come up, then there you were wooosh," an overly enthusiastic purple haired girl squealed. She was the last of the group. Nejire, she was here because she didn't want to be left out and she wanted to see if Amajiki would jump, and as of yet he has not. The three older dragons were chilling in their human form watching and every now and then participating in the younger one's cliff jumping. Tsu thanked Nejire before sitting down next to the small group to watch Kirishima's jump.

After a chatting with a group for a bit and grabbing a quick bite to eat the red head was ready to do his last jump of the day. Reeling back to the point Tsu had ran from he took his mark and with a small count down in his head he was off. Racing full speed to the edge of the cliff throwing himself full force into the unknown. Right now, it really was the unknown. What Tsu had failed to mention to the male was there happened to be a multitude of thunder clouds rolling up the mountain, something that was obscured by the steep almost vertical mountain the dragons resided on. Living way up in the cloud tops on some of the tallest mountains around the world dragons often never really had issues with truly bad weather. So, this was something the scarlet dragon had next no experience with, let alone being able to fly through it. As soon and Kiri noticed the growing storm clouds, he frantically began to transform to his dragon from, though he wasn't as streamline at morphing between forms as Tsu was. So as the poor male fell, he was well and truly in the eye of the storm before he was able to transform.

As Kirishima tumbled through the thick black clouds that encased him, he thrashed at the air trying desperately to regain some form of stability. Using his strong powerful wings to do his best to get back to the clifftop but the increasingly strong winds and cracks of lightning made that incredibly difficult. The rocky mountain was also proving a challenging obstacle as he fell through the sky. Before the poor young dragon knew what was going on, a loud ear-piercing clap of thunder belted out across the sky causing him to smash straight into the cliff-face. The force of the impact nocked the scarlet creature clean out. As his now limp body continued to fall, sharp rocks gouged into the side of his lower stomach, slicing through his softer, weaker scales. Now most ways down the mountain his wing caught on an obscured broken tree, parts of which had been sharpened to a fine point. The force of his body still falling caused the wing to tear and rip right down the membrane

All broken and worn the poor scarlet dragon finally came to land, thumping painful to the ground in front of a large opening to a cave, planted deep within the forestry of the mountain. Lying limp and unconscious Kirishima's blood began to mix with the mud and rain as it absolutely threw it down. After two minutes to long he finally regained consciousness, looking round frantically at his new surroundings trying his hardest to work out where the hell he was. Wincing in agony at the pain in his side he slowly dragged himself into the entrance of the cave. Curling into a small ball, the injured dragon tried desperately to gain any form of comfort from the cold, unknown, damp cave he was recovering in, but this was near impossible.

Meanwhile panic was starting to sink in for the small group still lounging at the grassy top. After seeing that Kirishima hadn't retuned for nearly 5 minutes it was evident something was definitely wrong. The four frantically rushed to the edge once Amajiki made the observation that their vibrant red head had not returned. Mirio being the most level-headed in worrying and or stressful situations took on the role of calming his boyfriend and the two other girls down.

"Mirio, he's been gone longer than five minutes, what the hell are we gonna do?" A very anxious and frantic Amajiki questioned as he clung onto his lovers' arm, peering over the edge hoping desperately their red scaled dragon would burst through the storm clouds. But he didn't.

"It's ok, we all need to calm down, I'm going to go down after him you three wait here till get him back," Mirio said in response to Amajiki. Swiftly changing to a sunning, almost golden scaled dragon, ready to dive for the redhead's rescue. Amajiki was less than happy with the idea of Mirio diving into those incredibly threatening clouds. Seeing how his mate was getting the blond nuzzled his snout into Amajiki for reassurance before he dived off the edge knowing time wasn't on their side. The three continued to look at the dark ominous clouds Mirio had just dived in, lightning repeatedly rippling through them, only amplifying their fears. Bobbing and weaving through the clouds, rain and lightning Mirio tried desperately to reach a break in weather, but to no avail. The poor dragon could barely see in front of his snout let alone a way through this storm. He searched and searched but couldn't find anything, absolutely no signs of the other dragon. Minutes flew passed as the golden dragon grew increasingly more desperate as he tried to find anything, but he couldn't. only tiring himself out the dragon had to go back, he could find his left from his right, he needed to fly out of there before something seriously happened to him. Only just scraping back to the mountain top before being struck by a branch of lightning Mirio collapsed, completely out of breath.

"Mirio!" The three exclaimed rushing over to him for answers, but what he told them only worsened his fears. They couldn't get Kiri back, not this way, not now, all they could do was prey for his safety.

————————————————————————

Stretching every muscle in his body as the sunlight beamed in, letting out a loud groan of satisfaction as all the bones in his back clicked. Bakugou slowly woke himself up from one of the truly best night sleeps he'd experienced in years. As he finally opened his eyes and took in his surrounding the blond took a minute to really register where the hell he was. Seeing the cold damp walls of the cave, smoldering pile of ash that used to be a firepit and all his stuff and clothes scattered about. The events of last night beginning to flood back in. As he began to piece together the events of the evening one big key factor of the previous night popped back into his head, something that was currently curled around him. Looking down Katsuki had the head of a large, scaled beast in his lap, making himself more than comfortable.

"Get off me you fat lizard," the blond spat out, shoving the dragons head off him standing up swiftly. Kirishima slowly awoke, blinking slowly as he himself took in were he was, realising he wasn't in his normal bed and still in his dragon from. Going to move searing pains hit his lower stomach, looking down he saw large wounds in his side, they were still really sore and painful looking from the night before and he wasn't going to be able to move much, let alone get home, or transform. Looking up longingly and bewildered Kirishima painfully scooted his body over to be where the other male was, not forgetting the blond and what he did for him yesterday.

"No, fuck off, I'm going home, the weathers cleared, and I have better shit to do than sit here with you all day." Not getting the memo Kiri rubbed his head and snout into the neck of the other as he loomed over him. The clingy actions of the glorified lizard were beginning to fuck off Bakugou as he packed up all his things. The dragon not really letting him do anything, he kept nuzzling into his arms and legs whenever he picked anything up causing him to drop it or fall over which Kiri would then use as an opportunity to curl round the other male and cuddle into him. Trying to get attention from the blond and give him warmth. This continued till Bakugou finally packed up his bag, after yelling repeatedly at the scarlet scaled creature.

Chucking his bag onto his back as he went to leave the cave Bakugou was tacked easily to the ground by Kirishima preventing him from leaving. Nestling his snout into the spiky blond hair on top of the male's head. "GET THE FUCK OFF ME YOU SHITTY BASTERED!" Katsuki muffle yelled out as Kiri had his head in the dirt. As the blond thrashed to be realised and the red dragon just happily sat there, the male pinned to the ground accidentally hit one of the gouges in Kirishima's side causing him to roar out in pain. The creature instantly removed himself from the male beneath him, Bakugou quickly jumping to his feet. He begun to worry about what the hell just happened, quickly realizing what he'd done as he looked over at the dragon curled in the corner of the cave, licking his deep wounds.

"You idiot if you hadn't pinned me, I wouldn't have hit your cuts," Katsuki said rolling his eyes in distain. Kirishima just continued to tend to his wounds alone, the blond annoyed by the fact that he felt a little bad for harming the dragon said, "tsk, right I didn't mean to hurt you, I'm sorry." After saying this his first thoughts were 'what the fuck am I doing apologizing to a dragon?'. Finishing off his abrupt apology the male turned heal and began to walk out the cave, already feeling like an idiot for this whole situation. As he got to the entrance of the cave a quiet cue almost like a purr emanated from the cave. Looking back Kirishima was looking over at him with big puppy dog eyes as if to say, 'how dare you leave me alone, don't go, don't leave'. Bakugou first chose to ignore it but his conscious got the better of him, "I'll be back, I have to look after your fucking wounds anyway, but I have work later so I need to go." Again, feeling stupid for trying to communicate with a dragon he made himself a small promise to come back to check on the wounded lizard as he continued on his way home.
