It has been a week since Victoria's breakup with Harry. The whole thing was over him wanting her to present herself in a certain way to please his dad. She refused to, arguing that she shouldn't be told what to wear and how to act. After their breakup, she predicted that her popular girl status would change since she was with one of the wealthiest kids in school, but not much had changed. Somewhat, she was still the same Victoria Delmar that was on the dance team and declathon.

"Hey, Victoria, where's your boy toy?", Flash called out teasingly while she walked down the hallway with Betty. Victoria flipped him off as she walked passed him.

"Are you still going to the homecoming dance?", Betty asked her.

"I don't know. That's the last thing I want to be focused on right now", replied Victoria. She was trying her best not to think about anything that had to do with boys, or in her words, she was in her "fuck Harry Osborn" phase.

"Okay, well, I was just asking. I mean, who knows? Maybe a cute guy could walk up to you right now and ask you out".

"Yeah, well, the next guy who asks me out is going to have to wait", she said.

After school, Victoria walked over to her dad's sandwich shop when she ran in to Peter, who was just about to leave. "Oh, hey, Victoria", he greeted.

Peter was well aware of Harry and Victoria's breakup since gossip about it spread around school like a wildfire and him and Harry used to be acquaintances. At one point, Ned suggested to Peter on asking out Victoria since she was newly available. "That's funny because me and your dad were just..um, so how are things?", he asked awkwardly, changing the subject.

"Fine. I'm single, so that's new", she shrugged with a dry chuckle.

"You know, if you ever need anything, you can just let me know", Peter said.

"Yeah, thanks", she said before they parted ways. Victoria always tolerated Peter because she found him to be one of the most decent friends that Harry had, which was why didn't mind still having him to talk to. Once she entered the store, she greeted her dad and petted her calico cat, Murph that was sitting on the counter. "Is there something going on between you and Peter Parker?", Mr. Delmar asked his daughter. "We're just friends, Dad", she sighed.
