Chandni was ready in her bridal lehenga . Her heart was beating abnormally high Inside her chest . Her hands were shivering and tears welled up in her eyes .

Why God ? I don't want to marry that stupid Shashi ..... ,, She said loudly while looking at her bridal images in the mirror . She looked away from the mirror and sat down on the bed . She put forward her hands and glanced at the beautiful design of Mehendi . Her hands were smelling because of Mehendi . Tear drops started to fall on her palm . She wiped her tears .

She looked at her hands again which was full of Mehendi . Mehendi left dark colour on her hands and she felt disgusted by all the fact that someone else will claim her as his in an hour . She wanted to marry the man with whom she'll fell in love but here she was not in love with Shashi . She wasn't scared of Marriage . She was scared to give herself to that hungry dog named Shashi . She was worried about her safety at wedding night . She thought of so many excuses she was going to use at him . But at last everything shattered Inside her . She knew Shashi won't leave her . He will definitely pounced over her and claimed her as his . She shook her head panickly and stood up from the bed and started walking in her bedroom . Her whole house is shimmering like stars . Sweet auroma were filled in every corner of her house . Her wedding Lehenga was designed by her mother but she didn't like it . She wanted something simple and elegant which covered her whole body but blouse of the Lehenga made her cringed whenever she thought of Shashi and his lustful gazes on her body .

She again wiped her tears and reapplied makeup which was smudged because of her tears .

Do something God .. there are still an hours of baraat to come ... ,, She said and throw make-up box in pain . She clutched her lehenga tightly and tears streaming down from her eyes .

I'll never worship you again ... ,, She murmured softly and looked at the small idol of Lord Ganesh

Didi .... ,, Her cousin sister barged into her room .

Chandni was shocked by her sudden entry . She stared at her sister and saw how panick she was looking

What ? What's wrong ? ... ,, She asked her sister . Her sister breath deeply and said " Dada Ji is calling You "

Chandni didn't understand why her grandfather called her when she had few hours in this house .

Why ? ... ,, She asked to her sister

Dadi Maa ... ,, Her sister replied and Chandni ran toward her grandparents room .

Dadaji ... ,, Chandni entered into her grandparents room and saw her grandmother was in worst state . She saw her parents were present there with her uncles and aunts . Her all cousins were sitting around the bed of her sick grandmother .

Her heart constricted . Her grandparents never supported her because of her parents but she never hate them . She loved her grandparents with her whole heart

Chandni come beta .. Your Dadi Maa is taking her last breath . That's why I called you here to meet her and take blessings from her ... ,, Her grandfather said and he wiped his own tears

Chandni bursted into tears and hugged her grandfather tightly . Everything was new for her . First her cousins came and spent some time with her and now she openly hugged her grandfather . Her dadaji rubbed her back .

Stop crying .. your make up will ruin and lehenga will get crush so stand Properly ... ,, Her mother saud and clutched her arms and pulled her away from her grandfather embraces . Chandni stumbled by the sudden force . She felt ashamed of her mother .

Her grandfather Chuckled hurtfuly by the cold reaction he got from his elder son and Daughter in law .

Chandni pushed her mother and glared at her . Her mother was shocked by Chandni's actions .

Mother behave yourself .... ,, Chandni said and she hugged her grandfather again . She went towards her grandmother and touched her feet . She kissed her grandmother cheeks and held her hands which had wrinkles.

Dadi Maa I love You .. I'm sorry that I didn't spent my days with you ... ,, She said loudly and her mother and father looked at Chandni in shocked .

Her grandmother opened her eyes and looked at her and put her hands on her head ..

Cha . Chandni ... ,, Her grandmother whispered and Chandni Nodded her head . Her grandmother smiled and soon closed her eyes forever . Chandni screamed loudly at her loss . Whole Singh family cried in pain except Her mother and father .. Chandni clutched her heart and wailed loudly . Her Grandmother died and left them in tears .

Suddenly they heard loud voices and got to knew that Baraat was standing at their door step . Her mother came and grabbed her hands and started dragging her away from her grandparents room .

Maa .. maa wait .. you are hurting me ... ,, Chandni said

Stop it Chandni .. Go and touch your make up again . Baraat is here and soon your wedding rituals will get start .... ,, Her mother said and pushed her in her bedroom . Chandni was shocked by all her mother's bitter words .

Chandni stood numbly and soon her mother entered into her room and saw her . She wiped her face with tissue and again held her hands and moved towards the wedding hall where her bridegroom was desperately waiting to ruin her .

Her Grandmother died . Her dead body is still in the house and her parents are doing her marriage .... ,, Chandni thought and angered rushed into her whole body .

She saw Shashi was grinning while looking at her . Her mother gave Varmala  ( garland ) to her and her hands trembled under his lustful gazes .

Stop ... ,, Loud male voice boomed and everything turned out silent . Chandni craned her neck and saw her grandfather was standing there .

Father .. My daughter is getting married so don't interfere in this ... ,, Her father said and got a tight slapped by him . Everyone stood shocked . Her mother trued to say something but one hard glared by her grandfather . She shut her mouth . Her grandfather pulled Chandni towards him and announced to the whole hall whoever were present there for the Marriage . Her grandfather joined his both hands and looked at the people and the baraat members

" Today no wedding is going to happen because her grandmother , my wife died half an hour ago . Her dead body is still on her bed , in the bedroom . So there is no Marriage . It's my humble request to you all to leave the hall as soon as possible . Take your baraat back with you because I'm not going to let that marriage happen . ... ,, Her grandfather said and looked briefly at Shashi who was clenching unclenching his fist in anger

Funeral process will start soon . We have so many works to do .. Chandni beta let's go Your Uncles and aunts needs you . Your cousins needs their elder sister . This house needs their elder grandchild ... ,, Grandfather said while looking at the family of Shashi .

He took her hands in his old hands and moved away from the hall with Chandni who was Silently watching and crying .

Everyone was stunned by the revelation and whispered filled the hall . Her mother and father were blazing in anger . They wanted to kill Chandni because they thought because of her , that old man ( grandfather ) slapped him and they were became the talk of town .

Chandni hugged her grandfather and hide her face ..

I'm sorry Dada ji ... ,, She said

Why are you sorry ? ... ,, He asked

Because of me everything happens . I'm cursed right ... ,, She cried

No never say something like this .. You are laxmi of our house but it's sad that your parents are blind enough to see how blessed they are that you are their daughter .... ,, Her grandfather said and wiped her tears

Let's go your dadi Maa is wait for us ... ,, He said and Chandni saw immense love and care for her . She was blessed to had grandparents like them .
