RIDLEY DELMARE was indifferent, blending in with the other solemn faces of the other fifteen years olds in the gloomy District Four where dead fish would wash up on the shores, the rotting odour polluting the salty air. Just like any other child with heavy eyebags pulling their dry eyes down on their face.

He was a mistake. He was the biggest mistake in a world where your children are forever on death row. His Mother prayed with him every morning and night, begging, pleading to whatever god was out there listening to let her sweet boy live the life he deserved. But what kind of life was there to live where the Rich watched children kill each other for entertainment while you sat there helpless and anxious as they ripped out children from their Mother's wombs and threw them into the Death Match.

He didn't want to believe it, but slowly he started to gain hope, that maybe he would live past eighteen, maybe even to at least thirty. But they sensed his optimism and crushed it, now he stands looking at the other twenty-three children he was up against. There was no God out there to protect him, he didn't stand a chance.

A HUNGER GAMES FIC FINALLY!!!!! 12 year old me is going insane.

I am so excited to write this fic, These past couple of weeks have been me extensively planning this and I can't explain how motivated I am just to be able to write finally. (April)
