Takuya and Steven who has decide to join her, much to Takuya's embarrassment and happiness. They came to a city called Dark City.

Things has happen on the way first they ran into a hippie who played a song on his Poké Flute, waking both Yami and Koyuki from their naps and next they came to a town but the problem was that the town was suffering from a drought; no food, no water and no river/ stream where there.

Takuya and Steven agreed to check it out, they followed the river upstream and they found out it was blocked up by a bunch of thorns and a huge, bipedal, dark blue-green Pokémon with a cream-colored face, belly, and feet. Its body is composed of mostly its belly, where most of its fat reserves accumulate. Its head is large, with small, pointed ears and two pointed teeth protruding from its lower jaw. It has large, hind feet with three claws and a circular brown paw pad, and its arms and five foreclaws are short.

It was a Snorlax and it was currently sleeping in front of the thorns and stream.

Steven discovered that a Poké Flute has the ability to awake sleeping Pokémon, so they went to the hippie location and asked him to awake Snorlax.

The hippie told them that the Snorlax belonged to him and the sleeping Pokémon woke up and started to eat the thorns, each time the thorns was eaten the water started to flow bit by bit.

When the thorns were all cleared away the river water started to flow again and the town was saved.

"I'm looking forward for a nice rest here." Takuya yawned.

"Same here." Steven agreed.

"I'm also looking forward to something to eat." Yami said hungrily, then his stomach grumbled.

Koyuki sighs.

When they entered Dark City, the town looked like a ghost town and there was not a soul in sight, they even saw blanks of wood on the ground.

"Where is everybody?" Takuya asked with a frowned.

Steven looked around, "Something doesn't feel right here." He stated.

Just then some stones came out of nowhere and nearly hit them.

"What the heck?" Takuya said.

"Okay that's rude." Yami jumped of Steven's shoulder and launched a thunder shock attack at three shadows.

"AHHHH!!" They fell onto a bunch of straw, Takuya and Steven saw 3 little boys.

"They kids." Koyuki said confused.

"Hey what did you do that for?" Takuya asked.

"Simple. We don't want Pokémon trainers here!" A kid with blue hair and blue eyes shouted.

"Go away!" The kid with redish brown hair and black eyes shouted next.

"Leave us alone!" The other kid with black hair and eyes shouted.

Takuya and Steven looked at each other then back at the kids.

"Ben! Troy! Alex! Stop it boys!" A voice called out.

It was a man who has brown hair wearing a green apron.

"Mr. Jim." The boys said.

"Sorry these boys don't mean any harm at all." Mr. Jim apologise, "Come to my restaurant and I'll explain everything."

"Um, okay..." Takuya said.

When they arrived at the restaurant, Takuya and Steven took their seats with Yami and Koyuki sitting on the table.

"What was that all about? When Takuya and I arrived here we saw nobody in this city it was almost like a deserted city." Steven said.

"I shall explain that, but after I made you guys something to eat." Mr. Jim said.

Mr. Jim made lunch for them and he place four places of omelet's on the table in front of Takuya and Steven.

"Your see in Dark City there are two Pokémon gyms; the Yas Gym and the Kaz Gym, the two gyms are in a middle of a gang war and they'll hirer any Pokémon trainers as soldiers that come to our city to join their gyms." Mr. Jim explained, "Then fights between the Yas Gym and Kaz Gym break out and uncontrollable."

"I don't really see the point of fighting all of this, what's the point?" Steven asked.

"Apparently they claim that whoever win's will come the Official Pokémon Gym." Troy replied.

Takuya snarled, "That's it and it's wonder why nobody likes Pokémon trainers when they enter this city, the gang war is ruining and destroy their home and city." She said.

"Yeah." Alex agreed.

Crash! Smash! Crack! Sounds of breaking windows and buildings.

"It's them." Ben said angrily.

"What was that?" Steven asked.

"It's the Kaz and Yas fighting again." Mr. Jim answered, "If you don't what to get involve I better suggest you go upstairs and hide."

Steven and Takuya nodded, they both grabbed Koyuki and Yami, the three kids lead them upstairs and hid with them.

"Get ready today the Kaz gym is going to crash you." A man with dark blue hair and eyes wearing a blue jumpsuit with a bold red K in front, with long black leather gloves and boots.

"Guess again to Yas gym will wipe you out." A man with moss green and eyes, wearing a long sleeves black shirt an overall green jumpsuit with a bold yellow Y in front.

"Go Electabuzz! Thunderbolt now!" Kaz leader ordered.

"Electabuzzzz!" Electabuzz launched a thunderbolt at the Yas soldiers / trainers and they cried out in pain getting hit, buts that now all the thunderbolt hit it also hit the houses causing them to explode.

"We can't let them win, attack Scyther!" Yas leader commanded.

"Scytherr!" Scyther attacked, reappearing in front of the Kaz soldiers / trainers as its scythe is crossover each other, the building above the Kaz members collapsed on top off them destroying the house.

Both Pokémon attack the opposing trainers, while destroying buildings or house along the way.

"Ahhh!" "Lets get out of here!" People panic and screamed.

"This is awful." Takuya said watching them from the window.

"Yeah." Steven agreed as he saw a family running away from the fight.

Yami turned facing the three boys, "Is it always like this?"

"Yeah." The boys nodded.

"This is terrible!" Koyuki growled.

Crash!

"?" Takuya quietly walked to the end of the stairs.

"Mr. Jim are you okay?" Alex asked walking up.

"Yes, but-" Mr. Jim said but didn't get time to finished the statement, as he saw it was too late to warn them.

Takuya and Steven both walked down but they both didn't expect to see four Kaz members to be downstairs too.

Steven frown and pulled Takuya behind him.

Kaz members turned to the two trainers.

"Are you both Pokémon trainers?" Kaz member asked.

"..." Steven and Takuya didn't answer.

"I take that as a yes." Second Kaz member said.

"How about you join us to help the gym leader of the Kaz gym?" Third member asked.

"...No." Steven and Takuya replied.

"WHAT?!" The Kaz members exlcaimed.

"We have our reason." Steven said.

"How about a battle? If you win, will leave and if we win you'll join the Kaz gym." Second Kaz member said with a smirk.

"..." Takuya didn't say anything.

Steven sighs, "Fine."

"Steven?"

"It's alright." Steven assured, "Who am I battling against?"

"Me. I'm one of the top members." Third Kaz member spoke up.

"Okay then, outside." Steven said.

Everyone went outside so they couldn't damage the restaurant.

"Go Rhydon!" Third member of the Kaz released a large, gray, bipedal Pokémon with features of both dinosaurs and rhinoceroses. It has a cream-colored, a large drill-like horn on its snout. There are other protrusions on the head as well, including a spike curving forward from the middle of its head, two triangular, point resembling ears to the sides of the spike, a wide, wavy crest under the ears, and spiky ridges on its cheeks. It has red eyes and two fangs protruding from its upper jaw. It has a cream-colored stomach and a row of spikes down its back. Rhydon has a long tail with skinny, black stripes

"Rhydon!" It roared.

Takuya looked up the Pokémon:
🔹Rhydon, the Drill Pokémon.
The evolved form of Rhyhorn. Its large horn gives it formidable attack power.

"Very well, go Aggron." Steven released a huge, bipedal Pokémon. It is primarily black with plates of silver-colored armor. The armor on its head has two pairs of holes with horns protruding from the foremost holes. Its forehead plating extends past its upper jaw in a small point. It has sky-blue eyes, and two nostril-like holes on the tip of its upper jaw. On the rim of its mouth are several pointed, fang-like protrusions and the nape of its neck and back have gray-silver armor sections. It has wide, blunt spikes on its shoulders, and gray-silver bands on its arms and legs. Its hands and feet each have three claws. It has a thick, long, black tail that it can swing at enemies.

"Aggron!" It roared out ready to fight.

"Woah." Takuya said and scanned the Pokémon, "Steven did say before that he's from Hoenn."

🔹Aggron, the Iron Armor Pokémon.
Aggron's steel horns can destroy the firmest of bedrock and it digs tunnels as it looks for iron to eat.
- Aggron are native in the Hoenn region.

The Kaz members were shock they have never seen a Pokémon like that and Steven notice he quickly told them that his Aggron was from another region.

"Rhydon horn drill!" Third Kaz member commanded. Rhydon charge in towards the iron armour Pokémon with it's horn spinning.

"Aggron dodge it and use metal claw." Steven said calmly.

When the Rhydon was close enough, Aggron stepped to the side dodging the attack and his claw glowed, he strike back with metal claw and it was super effective. The drill Pokémon cried out in pain and it fainted in just one attack.

"Woah!" Yami and Koyuki both said.

Takuya nodded she couldn't agree more, "Just one attack incredible."

Kaz's members were frighten and quickly left after the third member returned back his Pokémon.

Steven sighs, "Good job my friend." He returned back his Pokémon.

Before anyone could say anything, woman with short blue wavy hair, purple eyes and wearing a Yas gym uniform appeared in front of Takuya and Steven.

"That was incredible!" The girl exclaimed,

"Oro?"

'Now what?' Steven thought along with Koyuki and Yami.

"Oh, I saw the battle and I'm wondering if you like to join the Yas Gym?" The girl asked.

Takuya and Steven looked at each other and nodded.

"Please give us a minute." Takuya said.

They both huddle in a group to discuss what to do.

"I suggest we go to the Yas Gym," Takuya whispered, "but to only see what this gym is like and then we can leave quickly."

"Nice idea mother, but I suggest you use fake names for yourselves. Using your real names would ruin your repitation as trainers." Koyuki suggested with a whisper.

"Good idea." Yami nodded.

Both trainers finished their huddle and told the girl that they would go to the Yas Gym.

"May I have your names please?" The girl asked.

"I'm Ichigo White." Takuya said with a small smile.

"And I'm Toshiro Black." Steven introduce.

The girl took them to the Yas Gym and introduced them to Yas.

The Yas Gym looked like a fighting Dojo.

"Before I decide to recruit you two" Yas leader said, "I would like to battle one of you."

Takuya accepted the challenge and used Sorine to battle.

"Pikapi!" She said ready to battle.

Yas leader sent out his Scyther.

"Sytherrr!" It said readying its scythe.

Yas ordered Scyther to attack Sorine with its cut attack.

Scyther is a fast Pokémon, but Sorine had no trouble avoiding it because of the training she did for the past months, 'I'm happy that I have a Scyther as well.' Takuya thought and then she notice a red paint can. 'Red paint?'

Suddenly Scyther's scythes cut through a can of red paint and the red paint splashed onto Scyther's face.

Scyther saw red in its eyes and began to attack Yas leader who was shock.

Yas leader quickly returned Scyther, "Even though that was a quick battle," he said, "I could see that you are a strong trainer. Join me and my gym."

"Before I make my decision. Why do you want to become an official Gym Leader?" Takuya asked seriously.

Yas explained that the Gym was to earn money.

That answer made Takuya upset, she could see that Yas was just a greedy man for power and money.

"Sorry but forget," Takuya said, "you think Pokémon as tools for war and money. Well let me tell you something, I won't help you one bit. Let's leave Toshiro."

Steven nodded.

So they left Yas Gym at once.

Takuya and Steven both went back to Mr. Jim restaurant to talk, the three boys were there as well.

"I can't believe that Yas guy and I'm sure Kaz is like that too." Takuya said.

"You know, I hate to think what would happen if any of thost two become an official gym leader." Yami pointed out.

"When Yas and Kaz fight with their Pokémon they keep on wrecking the town." Ben said.

"That's not good, at this rate everyone will think all Pokémon trainers are dangerous. We need to stop them and fast." Steven said.

"What are we going to do mother?" Koyuki asked.

"Hey, Scyther and Electabuzz are the strongest Pokémon of Yas and Kaz right?" Takuya asked.

"Yeah, they are." Troy replied.

Steven caught on what Takuya was saying, "I get it, I know what your thinking Takuya. Great idea."

Everyone blinked, "... ? ... What?"

"I'll explain, you see Scyther and Electabuzz hate the colour red and when ever they see anything red they attack like crazy or a better word out of control. They even attack humans if they wear anything red." Takuya explained.

"I get it, so your plan is, is to make both Scyther and Electabuzz see red." Alex said.

"Yes."

"Then if they attack their own trainers then Yas and Kaz will suffer a humiliating defeat and will learn a lesson that they will never forget." Koyuki said.

"Exactly Yuki." Takuya smiled and then to the owner, "Mr. Jim we will need a lot of tomato juice or red paint and I will also need you to tell everyone in this town to take shelter in their homes, until the fight is over and kids I will need your help too in this plan." She said.

"Okay." The three boys nodded.

"I have some tomato juice and red paint in the back." Mr. Jim said.

"Right lets hurry." Steven said.

Everyone got to work of Takuya's plan.

That afternoon Yas and Kaz and their disciples started again to have another one of their street fights.

"Let's go Scyther!" Yas leader shouted.

"Go Electabuzz!" Kaz leader shouted.

The disciples let out their Pokémon to fight too.

The Pokémon were fighting each other like crazy and the humans were at each other too.

It wasn't a pleasant sight see.

Takuya and Steven along with everyone else were on the rooftop hiding out of sight.

"Okay, it's time." Takuya said.

They poured barrels of tomato juice and red paint over Yas and Kaz leaders.

When Scyther and Electabuzz saw their trainers covered in red, they went berserk and they started attack them immediately.

Yas leader nearly got cut up by Scyther and Kaz leader kept on getting shocked by Electabuzz.

"Alright your plan is working Aura." Yami said.

"Only one more thing to do." Takuya said, "Denver do it."

"Bulba." Denver nodded and he used his vines to grab a bucket full of tomato juice and poured it over both Scyther and Electabuzz.

When Scyther and Electabuzz both were covered in red they met eye to eye, they fought with each other until they collapsed from exhaustion.

"Learnt your lesson now!?" Takuya shouted from the rooftop.

Yas and Kaz leaders both got really angry and decided make a deal of joining forces together, "Attack those kids on the roof now!" They ordered their disciples.

"Oro?" Takuya blinked then smirked, "Ryuu, Flora!"

The shark land Pokémon came out of the ground followed by the weed Pokémon, Ryuu attacked them with a dragon pulse, Flora attacked them with magical leaf, then paralysis them with stun spore.

Both Yas and Kaz leaders and their disciples got really beaten and paralysis badly.

"Alright Ryuu, Flora nice work!" Takuya cheered.

"Gab, Gabile!" "Odd, Oddish!" They both cheered, they both froze and began to glow.

"Wow, their both evolving." Steven said.

Ryuu became a medium-sized, bipedal dragon-like Pokémon that is primarily blue. His underside is light blue, with red covering from the middle of his abdomens to the bottoms of his jaw. He has two appendages that resemble jets or plane engines extending out the side of his skull. Each appendage has a blue stripe. It has four fins, one on each arm, one on his back and another on his tail. He has spikes on his hind limbs and sharp claws on its feet. His eyes have black scleras and gold colored irises.

"Gabite!" Ryuu roared out.

Flora evolved into Gloom.

"Gloom." Flora said.

Takuya checked out her two new Pokémon:
🔹Gabite, the Cave Pokémon.
The evolved form of Gible. Gabite goes wild for precious jewels, first digging them up and then stashing them in its nest.

Type: Dragon and Ground

New Moves Learnt: Strength, Fire Blast, Aerial Ace, *Dragon Breath, *Metal Claw and Hyper Beam.

Ability: Sand-Veil

Hidden Ability: Rough-Skin

🔹Gloom, the Weed Pokémon.

Type: Grass and Poison

New Moves Learnt: Petal Dance, Solar Beam, Energy Ball, *Razor Leaf and Grass Knot.

Ability: Chlorophyll

Hidden Ability: Stench

Takuya and Steven got down from the rooftops.

"You had enough now?" Takuya asked.

Yas and Kaz leader both growled and got up grabbing a stick as well, Steven quickly pulled Takuya behind him, they both were ready to attack when...

"Hold it right there." A female voice said stepping in front of them was a mysterious patron person showed up and she held up a Pokéball, "I'm a Pokémon League Inspector from the Official Pokémon League." She said.

"Ahhh!!" Yas and Kaz leader paled at the sight.

"Pokéball go!" She released her Pokémon and it was a Chansey.

"Chansey, Chansey." Chansey clapped her arms.

"Argh!" Both Yas and Kaz face planted on the ground.

"Chansey? Then that means she's..." Yami trailed off.

"That's right my true identity is..." The mysterious person pulled off her disguise, "Nurse Joy."

Yas and Kaz panicked by that.

"I have seen everything that you two have done," Nurse Joy scolded, "and I will never except people like you to become gym leaders."

"Please, Please give us another chance." Yas and Kaz begged bowing their heads.

"Very well," Nurse Joy said, "but I suggest you listen to what this young lady has to say." She pointed to the blacked hair girl.

"Oro? Me?" Takuya pointed to herself.

"Go on Takuya." Steven encouraged her.

Takuya nodded and bravely stepped forward to speak, "Well first of all," she said, "using your Pokémon as tools for your selfish and greedy goals is wrong. They are not just for fighting; they are they to be by your side as partners and best friends always. I mean you two love your Pokémon right?"

"Of course." Yas and Kaz said together.

"Exactly, seriously what you did with them doesn't make you derserve the right to become Pokémon trainers, let alone gym leaders and last of all your gyms would give other gyms a bad name. So if you two want to start anew I suggest that you repair all the damage that you had done to Dark City and apologise to all the citizens of Dark City and last of all rebuild your friendships with your Pokémon and each other."

Yas and Kaz leader bowed their heads at her, "At once Ichigo White."

"Oh my." Koyuki smiled, while Yami snickered.

Steven shook his head in amusement.

And so Dark City was at peace at last, with the Yas and Kaz gyms worked together with their Pokémon to fix up Dark City and the citizens were grateful to Takuya and Steven for all of their help.

"Thanks to you two and your Pokémons," Mr. Jim bowed, "children can play in the streets again and we won't have to be scared of Pokémon trainers or Pokémon ever again."

"I just hope this doesn't happen again." Koyuki said with a frown.

"Don't worry, I will make sure this doesn't happen again." Nurse Joy assured.

Takuya and Steven smiled.

The kids said that they couldn't wait to become Pokémon trainers themselves.

"I'm sure you three will become great trainers." Takuya said with a smile.

Then saying good-bye Takuya and Steven left Dark City, knowing everything would be all right now.
