Dax's POV:

I was sitting in my room, getting ready to sleep. Until I heard a glass break in the Dining Room, I got up immediately and sneakily headed to the area. When I got there I saw Dad (Randis) sitting there, frustrated and very very drunk. I slowly walked towards him and asked, "Hey Dad, what's wrong?". He looks at me and says "Well it's just, I have a son.", does he not notice it's me? "I want him to be strong and have a good future unlike me.", Randis continues rambling. I sit down, wanting to hear this. "So I put him in the Mafia, I know it isn't the safest thing, but if he can survive it then I know his future is safe.", Randis says. He looks at me and has a few tears starting to go down. "I just want him to be safe, will he be safe? Is he gonna have a better life than I did?", he asks me. "I-I'm sure h-he will.", I say stuttering but happily. "Now how about we start heading to bed? It's late you know.", in response Randis yawns and nods slowly. "I guess it is time.", Randis says now tiredly. I help walk him to his bed where Mom is already asleep. I tuck Dad in and say "Thank you Dad, I love you.", I then head to my bed, happy to know my Dad cares for me.
