~Elizabeth's Pov~ 

Gelda was doing everything in her power to keep the subject changed and from Meliodas. Dragging both of the other princes to join the conversation. I admit it worked pretty well. Sadly at the very back of my mind, I couldn't help but wonder and question everything. Hawk would help Gelda, being able to tell what she was trying to do. I tried keeping to myself, just listening and nodding every so often in reply. We soon were at the dining room, sitting down and ordering food. Unlike the dinners before there wasn't any disagreements or arguing. 

It was peaceful and really nice. That was the moment I really forgot about the fact Meliodas was missing. We were saying jokes, telling stories and talking some of the most random things that either Gelda or Estarossa would bring up. The conversations we had kept going through the whole of dinner, making it last much longer than what I've ever had. That was when a waiter slipped a note to Estarossa. His eyes widen for a second before using his darkness to destroy the note. Gelda and I both wanted to question it.

From Zeldris' face, he knew what the note was about. Somehow Gelda kept up the nice long and very unique conversations we were having. Returning a nice, welcoming and calm mood into the air. It was strange but everyone was getting along really well. I honestly didn't think I would get along with Estarossa very much with how he acted at first. He was someone who was hard to read or to really understand. Much like how Derieri explained. Once every finished dinner, Gelda and I both ended up getting some deserts. 

I found myself craving strawberries and chocolate again. "This kid is gonna be addicted to strawberries or something" Hawk pointed out getting me to laugh slightly. It was a strange feeling, all the cravings for strawberries. I never really went through anything like this before. Gelda was the first to point out that we should be glad I was craving something healthy. I heard stories from maids about all the different things people could crave or get sensitive to. I was very lucky compared to other people. 

"Plus it won't be long until those cravings start to pick out to other things too" Gelda then added getting Hawk to nod, saying he would have to make a note about it. Gelda and I both ate pretty fast once the deserts arrived onto the table. Zeldris and Estarossa were discussing who would be on guard inside the room and who would be on guard outside the room, also when they would swap who goes where every so often. Both looked like they didn't really want to work with each other with this but there was something in their eyes to show they had no choice. 

We all were heading to the third floor. Gelda leaving the group to return to her's and Zeldris' room. Hawk stayed close to me, still not fully sure if it was safe around the two demon princes. "Ah yes, Kaida wants to have a checkup with you in the next couple of days, Lady Elizabeth" Estarossa then informed me. I turned my head looking at him before nodding. Checkup? My first one...I didn't really want to go without Meliodas by my side but what was said before still counts. It was my place to protect and look after my child. 

Even when Meliodas wasn't by my side, the child had to come first. "I do wonder, this is gonna be a short pregnancy compared to anything known right? How long until the baby comes you think?" Hawk soon asked, sounding confused but yet interested in the answer. Zeldris and Estarossa explained how they weren't sure on the answer while I rubbed the back of my head saying the same. Hawk was in some shock and even let out a heavy sigh. I only prayed the child wasn't due anytime soon. 

Meliodas wasn't back yet. I needed him to be with me when the child comes. No matter what. "Yo Elizabeth!" I heard Derieri nearly shout getting me to turn my head to see her outside my bedroom door with a smile on her face. A smile grew on my own moving slightly faster to stand next to her. "Derieri!" I spoke in a normal tone of voice getting her to rub the top of my head, whispering that I was 'too cute'. I felt my face burn up slightly. "What are you doing here?" Zeldris then asked in a bored tone.

"Orders from the Demon King. I'm to be on guard inside the room at night. You two outside the door, the door is to be open slightly and the same effect will be in place as if you two are in the room" Derieri answered his question in a bored tone. Estarossa and Zeldris were looking confused asking how the door being open somehow worked. I was still confused on why they were needed to be around me very much as it was. I knew it was related to the fact Meliodas was missing and was meant to be by my side.

Kaida did try her best to explain but it was still confusing for a human like me. "I dunno. That's just what he told me. He also told me to let Elizabeth know that Meliodas should be back tomorrow or the next day" Derieri then added on. My eyes and whole face lit up hearing her words. He was due back? Zeldris and Estarossa gave each other an even more confused looked while Derieri gave me a bright smile. "Really?" I asked getting her to give out a loud 'yep'. Hawk was saying 'about time' and mumbling things under his breath. 

Derieri, Hawk and I went inside the bedroom, leaving the two princes outside the room. Derieri was soon asking about how I was doing. Also pointing out that I made her worry so much she nearly had a heart attack in all seven of her hearts. It made me nearly laugh but by her face she was serious. I explained what had been happening since I woke up from blacking out in the library. Derieri seemed to be happy and in shock, I got along with Zeldris, Gelda and Estarossa. She wasn't shy on pointing out Meliodas wasn't going to like it. 

We both laughed at the statement. Hawk was the first in bed and even fell asleep almost instantly. I changed into a short silk nightgown while Derieri was checking the windows, the whole room and even the bathroom. I wanted to question it but at the same time, I knew I wouldn't get a fully honest answer. I went into bed as Derieri came back into the room, informing me that she and the two princes wouldn't let anyone in the room with a proud smile on her face. I only smiled, thanking her.

She had gotten the room to dimp down, turning out the light coming from the candles around the room while I laid down. My mind went back to this morning. Liz Knight. That name. I've heard it somewhere. Was I really the reincarnation of this girl? She was Meliodas' past lover...so did he know I was? I had far too many questions but at the very same time...did I want to know? If that was another life ago...was it really important to know about it? To learn about a past I couldn't ever remember? I was pregnant...I was going to have a child...

I didn't have time to think or worry about things like that. I knew that but still...I couldn't help but question every word that Estarossa and Zeldris spoke this morning. I knew if Melidoas ever found out what they did to ask me and found out about this...he would lose it completely. I knew he would hate the two of them. That was just his protective trait and I couldn't help but love that part of him.
