-Chapter 37-
~Elizabeth's Pov~
The rest of that day...Meliodas and I couldn't keep our hands off each other. After we entered that bedroom we didn't come back out for the rest of that whole day. I wasn't sure what happened but it was that feeling again. That need. The need for him. It was so hard to explain. It was so confusing but yet made his touch even better than before. I wasn't sure if my body was already getting sensitive or if it was something else. Though I was hoping it was my body getting more sensitive to being pregnant.
It wasn't sure what time it was but I had woken up to rush out the bed, into the bath and to the toilet. I had started throwing up. Badly. It wasn't very long at all until Meliodas was by my side, holding my hair back and rubbing my back. I was throwing up for a good half an hour and even then afterwards I felt too sick to even move from that spot. Meliodas informed me we were going to see Kaida right away and asked me if I was alright enough for him to go get me some clothes. I nodded, trying my hardest not to throw up yet again.
The tired feeling from yesterday being around even worse too. I had soon noticed a metallic taste in my mouth, it wasn't very strong but still tasted strange. I was still trying to not throw up even more. I was taking long deep breaths, a hand on my stomach. I heard there were hardships with being pregnant and I knew that the worse was yet to come but I was only six days along. This sickness in humans would normally be around the fourth week. Merlin informed me that as Meliodas is a demon it could be a faster pregnancy but...I didn't really see it being this fast.
Meliodas had returned with some clothes and helped me get change. I was lucky that I didn't end up throwing up everywhere yet again. Meliodas had gotten me in a short but yet baggy pink dress with some slip-on flat shoes. I noticed Meliodas had nothing but nightwear bottoms on as he picked me up in a bridal hold. Then it was a slow walk to the castle's infirmary. Meliodas was constantly checking on me and asking how I was. I whimpered in reply nearly every single time. Okay yes, every single time.
I was really badly trying not to throw up everywhere. Meliodas kicked open the infirmary door getting three doctors to jump out of some chairs onto the ground. Kaida instead rushed over asking questions about me, knowing right away it was about me. I found out that I looked extremely pale. Meliodas explained how my sickness was early, very early and was worse than he was told it would be. Kaida had me taken to one of the beds before pulling a dark green curtain around the bed so no one else could see.
Meliodas was standing next to me as Kaida grabbed a wooden file from the side with papers inside. "Lucky I had this premade" Kaida mumbled before moving to stand next to me, a smile on her face but it was easy to see the worry in her eyes. Was it too early for the sickness? Was that a bad thing? Kaida soon asked me how I felt from the time I was woken up from the moment I was placed on the bed. I could only manage one word without nearly wanting to throw up. "Sick" I answered, Kaida noticing I nearly heaving while speaking.
Kaida was writing things down, in a way reminding me much of Lady Merlin. I was wondering...how...how were they? Was Miss Diane alright? Were Elaine and King okay with taking me to the Fairy King's Forest and letting Meliodas take me back? I was worried what the Human Clan would've done to them. Kaida walked over, placing a hand on my head while looking at Meliodas. "You was right to bring her. It's far too early for her to be having this" Kaida spoke in a worried tone not helping myself much.
I had many thoughts rush through my head in fear and worry. "Lady Elizabeth I'm going to perform a small spell to cool off this temperature you have and numb the sickness alright?" Kaida then asked while moving her hand off my head. I only nodded watching her write on the clipboard. Meliodas walked closer to the bed, grabbing my hand. It caused me to look at him, he gave me a smile. "While doing the spell I'm going to try and figure out what is causing this" Kaida soon informed Meliodas more than myself.
He didn't pay attention to her. I moved my eyes to watch Kaida, she had a hand over my stomach, her eyes closed as she was whispering things under her breath. A small white glow soon coming off her hands. It wasn't long until I felt the sickness dying down. I took short deep breaths as my eyes closed. "It is around one in the morning, let her sleep while we talk and I take small tests" I heard Kaida say only for me to hear Meliodas give off his annoyed 'tisk' in reply. It wasn't very long afterwards until I fell asleep.
