-Elizabeth's Pov- 

Miss Diane and Merlin were staying by my side as two days had gone by. Gowther would leave once and awhile to get certain herbs while I met two of the other guards. King and Ban. King was the Fairy King Harlequin but he lets his friends call him King for sort. Ban was a human much like Merlin. King resembles a young boy with short brown hair, a high forehead, thin eyebrows, and brownish-orange eyes. He wears a long orange and an aqua sweatshirt with a hood and navy blue sleeves, quarter-length navy blue pants, and short boots with large buttons matching his hoodie. 

He always had a floating green leopard patterned pillow around with him and tiny fairy wings on his back. Ban, on the other hand, was very tall, muscular man with tan skin. He had short, spiky, pale blue hair and thin black eyebrows, as well as a pair of scarlet-red eyes. On the left side of his jaw and extending down to his neck, he has a large scar. He was wearing a red leather jacket and pants with metal studs sewn into both, alongside shoes of a similar, yet darker colour. King was very kind and it was easy to see him and Miss Diane were close. 

Ban was very cocky and enjoyed teasing both Miss Diane and King. He was nice to me and from what I heard was not common he was like that with other people. The people Lady Merlin had chosen for guarding me were very different but Lady Merlin always ensures me that they were extremely powerful people. Miss Diane's stories were much like the novels I would read in the library so it was quite exciting to hear each one. Miss Diane was the one who helped me move to the safe room under the castle. 

It was much like my bedroom but was very bigger and half the room was more like a lab. It had many books, herbal stations and much more. Though I wasn't sure if the underground room would work. There were already reports coming in about demon attacks on towns heading this way. Lady Merlin and Miss Diane are always trying to keep things calm in the room with high spirit but with the burning and the pain, it was hard to do that. It was midday on the fifth day I've had the mark and out of nowhere, the burning started to cool down.

"L-Lady Merlin" I whispered getting her attention along with Miss Diane's. Lady Merlin walked over sitting next to me on the bed. "The burning..." I whispered getting Lady Merlin to check my temperature right away. Her eyes widened as she told Miss Diane to warn them the demon the near the castle. Miss Diane listened leaving the room fast calling the Ban and King outside. Lady Merlin got up and put the clipboard away. "Already here...so soon" she soon muttered worried while I was more of wondering what he was like. 

He had talked to me once and awhile but I was wondering more on, what he was like. There was bashing at the door getting Gowther to walk over and answer. Lady Merlin seemed to be on high alert. "Where are you...my dear Elizabeth" I heard his voice once more as I nearly thought about my location until my father and two older sisters walked into the room. My father had long white hair and groomed beard. He adorns a typical king's cloak accessorized with fur on the shoulders and hemline. He also wears a pair of armlets and a few rings.

My oldest sister Margaret had long, slightly wavy, indigo hair and wears a short-sleeved, long black dress. My other sister Veronica had short light violet hair and a slim build. She was wearing a breast binder, stylish pink fur coat, a Knight-styled attire, a belt and a pair of long boots. "We were on our way here when we heard from Diane" my father spoke as Lady Merlin raised an eyebrow. She and Miss Diane learnt how my father and older sisters were rarely talked to me, let alone look or bother with me. Miss Diane was very upset when she heard.

Lady Merlin was shocked when she found out. "King Bartra you and your other daughters should go to the other safe room" Lady Merlin then spoke as I yelp in pain holding my shoulder getting Lady Merlin to rush to my side. She looked slightly worried as I felt sweat building up on my face again. My shoulder was starting to sting badly. Lady Merlin was asking about the pain but I was unable to answer. "Merlin like it or not I would prefer to be with my daughter in this situation" my father spoke shocking me.

My sisters were whispering to each other slightly while standing behind my father. "And like it or not. I need to keep Princess Elizabeth calm and comfortable to stop the demon from tracking her" Lady Merlin replied in a strict tone shocking me, my father and two sisters. Sadly my mind slipped up, thinking about the underground safe room we were in. I heard his chuckle in my mind. "I'm coming...just wait for me...sweet Elizabeth" I heard his voice, part of me went to tell Lady Merlin but the other shut myself up.

Lady Merlin was able to catch on something was up but that was when the ground started shaking. Lady Merlin shouted at my father and siblings to leave the room fast to the other safe room. Why were they really here? Up until these events, they never came and saw me. They never showed any signs they cared about me much. I put a hand on my head as it wasn't long until we heard fighting above us. "Crap" I heard Lady Merlin mutter as the door to the safe room slammed fully close, I was able to even hear a lock done up. 

Lady Merlin asked my father and two sisters to stay on Gowther's side of the room as she then focused on me. She was getting one of the pain remedies that Gowther had made earlier this morning. "Princess, please stay awake no matter what" Lady Merlin begged while giving me the bowl. The pain started to get worse as the sounds of fighting got closer and closer. Lady Merlin sweatdropped. She helped me drink from the bowl, seeing I was in too much pain to fully do it myself. Gowther was soon informing Lady Merlin that he sensed the demon. 

Before she could ask or reply there was a loud explosion at the door. It was just able to hold. My two older siblings were staying close together while my father stayed in front of them. Lady Merlin stood up looking ready to fight. That was when Ban was sent flying through the door breaking it down. A person now standing in the doorway. A male with messy blond hair and a pair of black eyes. Over his right eye seemed to be a glowing black mark. He was wearing a black sleeveless vest, dark grey shorts and lastly black boots. 

Around his dark grey shorts was a black belt where a swords scabbard was held. He was smirking while everyone else looked in utter fear. I some reason didn't feel scared at all. "Out of all three Demon Princes...it had to be you didn't it?" Lady Merlin muttered coldly as I was unable to move my eyes off the demon standing that. He walked into the room getting Lady Merlin and Gowther to both move in front of me. "I would suggest moving out my way Merlin" the male spoke being the very voice I was hearing before. 

It really was him. "Not happening" Lady Merlin replied summoning a floating blue orb to show up next to her. Gowther moved his arms forward getting two bows to show up. My father was busy keeping my two older sisters back and safe from the demon. The demon looked right at me, his smirk growing as suddenly the pain and burning had vanished. "I don't have time to mess with a doll and failure mage" he soon spoke as he looked as if he had vanished. Lady Merlin soon said my name loudly and worried as suddenly the demon reappeared next to me. 

"You are much more beautiful than I first thought, Elizabeth" he spoke causing my face to burn up. Lady Merlin soon sent a spell flying at him but black mist came off the demon's vest creating a large shield bubble around us both. Some reason, I still wasn't scared, I felt more curious than anything. "L-little rude you know my name but I don't know yours" I whispered shyly getting him to chuckle and take my hand moving to be close to me. My face some reason burning up even more.

"Meliodas. That's my name" he spoke before kissing the back of my hand. I noticed both Lady Merlin and Gowther were trying to break down the bubble. Meliodas. So that's his name. I was also thankful demons had names. "You are very different from the other humans I've met, Elizabeth" Meliodas then spoke as he let go of my hand and then picked me up off the bed in a princess hold. I was shocked by the sudden movement. "D-different?" I asked my voice still being quiet. Meliodas nodded as he soon turned his head to face the people outside the bubble.

I was still looking at him in shock while I was getting confused. Why me of all people? Why pick someone like me? I was someone who kept quiet, hid away and didn't really like talking to other people much. "How bothersome, they are still letting up" Meliodas only mumbled before looking at me, his smirk still on his face. He soon let me stand on my feet, moving an arm around my waist and pulled me close to him. We were the same height. I was already very short for my age as it was. Meliodas soon moved his free hand upwards toward the ones trying to break down the bubble. 

"Soon everyone will understand that you now belong to me" Meliodas spoke moving his head to look at the others as the bubble moved to turn into spears as it hit Lady Merlin, Gowther, Miss Diane and Ban. It sent them all flying to the other side of the room. I was in shock while Meliodas let out another chuckle. "I thought this might be slightly harder seeing it was Merlin and Ban trying to steal my mate" Meliodas spoke as Miss Diane told me to run away from Meliodas. Some reason I couldn't. I didn't even want to. 

"Far too late for that Giant" Meliodas replied moving his arm once more, picking me up into a bridal hold this time around. I was looking at Meliodas to see his smirk only grew. His black eyes had a hint of green at the bottom. "Who said it was too late" I heard a male speak getting me to move my head to see someone else had come into the room. He had dirty blonde short-cut hair and deep blue eyes. Under his nose laid a moustache matching his colour hair. He was wearing a white sleeveless top that was tucked into badge bottoms with black boots that much matched the ones Meliodas was wearing himself.

"So your the human who has that annoying ability Sunshine huh?" Meliodas asked in an annoyed tone as the spears inside Lady Merlin, Miss Diane, Ban and Gowther went deeper into each of them. Miss Diane let out a painful scream as blood came out of each of them. "E-Escanor save Elizabeth already!" Miss Diane snapped in utter pain after she finished her scream. I didn't want Miss Diane getting badly hurt or killed because of me nor Lady Merlin or anyone else but my body was unable to move to those thoughts. 

My head ended up moving on its own to rest on Meliodas's shoulder. "Like I said. Far too late, you would've had a chance if I didn't get to touch her" Meliodas only spoke looking at me with an even bigger smirk on his face than earlier. Lady Merlin soon ordered Escanor to save me no matter what got him to let off some type of burst of power, getting Meliodas's attention again. "I don't have time to deal with you lot. I'm taking what is mine and leaving" Meliodas spoke moving faster than my eyes could keep up.

Even though he was still carrying me. My eyes only saw a huge blur go past them. I was even more confused as to when the blur cleared up we were behind Escanor. Black mist coming out of Meliodas's vest and into Escanor pushing him deep into the room as Meliodas started walking up the stairs in front of us. The only exit and entrance to the saferoom. "W-where are we going?" I asked quietly getting Meliodas to give off a small laugh moving his head close to mine. My face was burning up once again. 

"To your new home. My dear Elizabeth, just rest, once you wake up...we will be far away from here" Meliodas whispered and just like that, I blacked out.
