-Elizabeth's Pov- 

Chandler moved forward, looking at Escanor as his smile faded, a glare showing on his face. "YOU DARE TOUCH THE MATE OF THE YOUNG MASTER?" he shouted in rage the aura he once showed to Estarossa bursting out of him. Escanor looked slightly worried but soon took a deep breath, glaring toward the old demon in front of me. Both looked ready to battle it out to the death. I stepped back slightly in some fear to feel my arm get grabbed. I turned my head to see Lady Merlin grabbing my arm tightly. 

Her body covered in blood, bruises, dirt, dust and cuts. "You better be wise as you once were Blessed Daughter. Maybe then I will let your friend here live" Chandler spoke getting me to look at Lady Merlin confused. Blessed Daughter? What did he mean? What really was Lady Merlin to the Demon Clan? How come she has never come forward with information about all this? "I can keep him busy Merlin" Escanor spoke as I heard the battle start in front of me. I only blinked for the area around us to change. 

One second we were on a pathway surrounded by trees but now...we were back in Liones... I sweatdropped in confusion as many people were shouting at Lady Merlin's and my return. Many were rushing over. Lady Merlin stated she needed to go back for her team before she ordered for me to be taken to my father. Within that, she vanished. I was confused. What just happened? Many people were asking question after question. "BACK OFF" a male voice boomed around us as everyone moved away from me. 

Soon Gilthunder, my older sister's bodyguard came over. Gildthunder was a relatively tall young man with slightly curled, short salmon-coloured hair. He has thin eyebrows and a pair of blue eyes. He was wearing his normal dark-coloured full body knight armour without a helmet and wields a single hand sword. The upper body armour is carved with several crosses and the symbol of the Holy Knights. He also has a leather waist belt fastened on top of his armour. He bowed to me, confusing and shocking me. 

"Princess Elizabeth, we are glad you've returned safely" Gilthunder spoke before standing up straight. He then offered me his hand, I ended up stepping back confusing and slightly scared. Gilthunder looked confused at my reaction. Lady Merlin. I was told she could teleport but I didn't think she would've used it on me. Why were they even there? "W-when did any of you start actually caring about me?" I soon asked harshly shocking everyone around me. That was right though...in their eyes...I was the 'useless' princess. 

My father never even cared about me enough to check on me when I was dying of colds and flues. "Princess, please calm down" Gilthunder spoke, sounding calm but it was easy to see by his eyes he was confused. I stepped back again for Lady Merlin to appear nearby. With her was everyone else who was out of breath and looked badly hurt. Many people were rushing to their aid. Miss Diane pushed past the crowd over to me. "Elizabeth are you unharmed?" Miss Diane asked in worry and fear, nearly shouting her question.

I stared at her in shock. She looked as if she was about to drop dead yet she was worrying over me. My body was shaking slightly, my eyes watering. "Elizabeth?" Miss Diane asked worried grabbing my hands. Lady Merlin was the next to rush over shouting at Gilthunder upset that I wasn't taken inside the castle sooner. "W-why are you worrying about me when you look like that!?!" I asked loudly shocking Miss Diane and Lady Merlin. The two of them spent the most time with me than anyone in the whole Kingdom. 

I was shy. I was quiet. This time I basically nearly shouted. Miss Diane held my hands tighter, a smile growing on her face. "We're friends remember? Friends always look out for each other" Miss Diane answered as I felt tears going down my face. Lady Merlin soon smiled nodding in agreement to Miss Diane's statement. I-I couldn't help but cry and shake. "Princess lets head inside" Lady Merlin spoke putting a hand on my shoulder as everyone was cheering the six people as heroes. Miss Diane kept eyes on me with her smile. 

"It's all going to be okay now Elizabeth. Merlin and I won't leave your side again" Miss Diane spoke as my crying only got worse.
