~(???) Pov~

-Flashback-

"Craig what are you doing?!" I yell. The five year old looks at me, his arms lit in flames and two fuzzy ears and tails showing. "I-I cant help it! The fire looked so pretty and I had the urge to touch it! Then this happened! Help me daddy!!" I grab a bucket that, luckily, had water in it and splash it all over Craig. He yells out in pain and I wince. "Sorry son!" I yell.
I drop the bucket and run up to Craig, catching him as he falls from exhaustion. "You're ok now, you're ok..." I hold Craig close to my chest and breathe deeply.

~New flashback~

"Daddy what's going on?!" Craig yells as I run with him in my arms, people running after us, but I quickly run through the trees while they stumble over tree roots and stems. Being half fox has it's perks. "Hurry! They are getting away!" I hear someone yell.  I turn into a fox, my nine tails showing and slightly on fire. 

I push my nose into Craig's chest and use my fire to connect to his and turn him into a fox. He only has two tails for now, but when he learns to use his power he will earn his tails.  

I grab the scruff of his neck in my mouth. I run faster and faster, trying to get Craig away from them. They can't hold the power of  the nine tailed fox. No one can other than those in the bloodline. 

I run and run until I come across a neighborhood, I run and put Craig down on the doorstep of someones home. I press my nose against him and turn him human, but make sure that his powers, and memories, are locked up in side of him. Only to be awakened at some point between the age of 15 to 20. "I'm sorry my little cub. I will not be there for you in person, but in Spirit I will always be with you." I use my paw and press the doorbell and look down to my now sleeping cub. Before running back into the woods and leading the scientist away from where my sleeping son lies on a doorstep.

-End flashbacks- 

I stand at the top of a cliff, nine tails slowly swaying in the wind, my ears facing the laughter in the secret base beneath me. "My son...be careful...they won't stop until they get you and your friends..." I turn and run into the forest, changing into a fox and run among the trees. Be safe and careful. for the sake of your friends and for the sake of the planet.

~Craig's Pov (slightly before the father leaves)~

My ears pick up the faintest sound and I freeze, my player on Mario Kart not moving anymore. "What's wrong Craig?" Tyler asks, pausing the game and looking over to me. "I don't know, I just...I just thought I heard something." I get up and walk to the door, going outside and looking up at the cliff hanging above the base. I see something move up there, but it's gone before I can see what it is. 

I walk inside and shut the door with my foot, the door hits my tails as I walk forward and I wince. "Ow!" I hiss. "You ok Craig?!" Tyler yells from the living room. "Yeah! Door just hit my tails." I walk towards the living room, but take one last look to the door before continuing to walk.
